Great video as always Chris! The installation of the shifter should look super neat once completed, so much better than the exposed variety! Hope the ute serves you well with car life and cheers for sharing mate!
Nice clear video mate!. Thinking of doing the same on my VN build. I might try and use some type of black brushes between the shifter gates underneath the console cover to hide the ratchet mechanism.
Maybe some sort of carpet material to make up some sort of shift boot, replacing the black slide? May make it a bit cleaner rather than the slot wide open :)
Man they line up nicely! I’ve gotta chop so much on my Vh it’s making me not want to do it. I can easily 3D print infils but if I break something parts are priced stupid
I did mine in my vs the other week and before mounting shifter to drop box I grinded a couple mm off where the bolt holes are on the shifter on right hand side to get it over enough to be clear around the factory surround
Awesome video, mate. Senator is coming up nice, ute is schmick and that's the cleanest B&M install I've ever seen. Only thing that would hold me back on doing the same is that I like the stock shifter handle too much to part with it.
@@MindieJ Simply having the handle on the B&M with the fitment of yours would go a long way to looking more factory fresh, just don't know how difficult it could be to change the handles over (referring to just the bit you actually hold, for clarity)

Love that senator, first started loving HSV's when they were newish and some random pulled into my driveway in a gold one, love the vn too as had a vn calais as my first car, have 2 HSV's now😊
I noticed your console wasn't all the way located, will that also make a difference to the shifter touching the plastic surround? Have to love a clean shifter install. Had a drop box in my old vc stroker. 👌🏽
