Excellent idea with the adjustable bracket. Is that the one still installed to the car or did you guys figure out exactly the distance required between the shifter axle and the shifter cable? Did you ever record that distance? Im keen to fully manualise my BTR but I need a 7 position ratchet shifter to do it.
mate in the same space as you lookin around for 'kit' to put one into a 97 El sbf you wouldn't be able to send those photo's eg (if you still have them ) keep up the good work
Hey mate love your videos got an AU that I want to put a BnM in too is this a 97Le trans? And was it just a standard 4spd pro ratchet you used? (Sorry I bet you get asked all the time) cheers
Hey what's your thoughts on the grandpa visor strength? Worried about it at high speed? I had heard they don't like going over 160 but I havent/don't want to test it myself. Might wanna check the screws aren't corroded haha Liking these videos! Keen to go with a B&M one day too, thanks for posting it up
Haha we are not completely sure how the grandpa visor will go at high speeds, it’s been on the car for 4 years or so now with no issues as yet, so we’re hoping it will be all good.
@@HackshopGarage Well I wholeheatedly support you testing it! Haha I've had mine for 3 years now, other than it wobbling when buffeted by trucks on the hwy I haven't really been worried about it aside from the paint cracking along seams Hopefully my factory (EA/EB/ED) rear sunvisor is up to the strip, it's a bit more flimsy being plastic
I will legit need that bracket 😅
Mr BTR sell the brackets needed
Or you can modify GM turbo box brackets
Great stuff! Loving your videos
That thing is mint
That shifter would look so tough in my DC ltd 😍
Hey guys ya,wouldn't have any of these backets at all haha
You can buy a kit that has all the parts to change standard to any b&m shifter
So, what is the measurement from the pivot point to where the cable connects?
ua-cam.com/video/DCSnQ6F2XcQ/v-deo.html
Didnt you see it on the screen? 47mm
Hey bro what’s the centre to centre measurement for the bracket that goes on the trans
49mm in the video
Damn you make it look hard boys.
Can use the brackets in the kit..
With some simple mods.

Did you watch the video? 😂🤦🏽♂️
All the bnm shifter brackets use the pan bolts.
Thanks for Showing us how to do this.
Hi how much power can a stock btr handle?
I have around 300 rwkw on my ba xr6t.
Hey mate, We don’t know what the limit would be on the BTR, so we couldn’t say for sure

Thanks mate, couldn’t tell you exactly what kind of trans it is. All I know is it is a BTR, but the BnM shifter is just a standard 4spd pro ratchet
@@HackshopGarage thanks mate 👍👍
I'm pretty sure it's a M93LE transmission if that helps PARNIS351
well done on fab work
Love this series!
The best way to harden and make it black is use some old engine oil. the carbon bonds with the metal, turning it black and making it stronger
Thanks mate, we will keep that in mind for next time 👌🏼
Hi mate would U sell that adjustable bracket
Hey mate, sorry not really looking to sell it, We will need it for a future project
