I've seen many tutorials about this song, in which they mostly focus on the iconic guitar solo and licks here and there, but none of them provides such a detailed description and execution of the rhythm part. ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL! Thanks for sharing this Justin!
Thanks Justin. Picked this one up really quickly so confirms my suspicions that after 2 years I am now an improving guitarist. Keep the videos coming, I have two of your books and find the videos really bring them to life.
Even if I am not planning to learn song I always press "like" button, because Justin's tutorials have been very helpful for me and I feel that I have to support him even if it is just simple "like". Keep up the good work ;)
I already knew how to play it, but nevertheless was ecstatic to see the tutorial! It's just that, I love your way of teaching, and the intros where you perform. Cheers for another great lesson!
Great lesson Justin as always, so many versions of How to play this song and yours is the best.. Will be visiting this lesson a few times to get it down. Take care from Downunder in Oz
Hi Justin, I just wanted to thank you for all of your teachings!💪🏾💚 I started learning the guitar last year and you were the first person I came across😍🎸 I’ve come a long way, and I just wanted you to know you are a big reason‼️ So thank you again, hope all is well✌🏾😎👍🏾
I'm very much a beginner but I reckon I could get this one down quite quickly. My issue was the little finger on the high E string in the D chord. Couldn't get it right at all. This explained exactly where it needs to be so I'm going to work on that now. I used to only go with Marty but you are fast becoming my go to when I want to learn a song. You explain it so well for a dullard like me.
Just wanted to say thanks for all your good stuff. It's a long time ago since I started to play guitar. Your videos have always been really helpful. So thanks a lot Justin! :) Btw wish there was a channel like yours for singing as I focused on this topic for quite a while now.
Awesome guitarist/guy doing an awesome bands song, sweet!More Queen songs! Hammer To Fall, Dead On Time, Under Pressure, Is This The World We Created, Killer Queen, We Will Rock You (fast and slow), etc.?
Outstanding tutorial Justin! There are some on this song online but this is by far the best, it's the summary of them all and adds some important new details, especially concerning the bridge part. So one needs only this video to learn the song the best way possible. Really great job! What about making a similar video on "Boat on the River" by Styx? A great 80s Classic, too, good to play for beginners and (because of the solo part) demanding for the intermediate player - and for what reasons ever there is absolutely no tutorial out there for Styx' fantastic evergreen song!
OMG Great Vid - this broke down what i thought was a very difficult song as I just couldn't get the beat to work with my struming. THANK YOU I am going to be annoying my family to dispair with practicing this. :-)
Great video, thanks Justin! Please do more Queen songs. "Fat Bottomed Girls" is the one I'm waiting for. I know there are other lessons of this song, but I think your lesson would be much better.
Justin and Marty have probably taught half the current guitar on players how to play guitar. I do have an issue though I am having a problem finding new music that is good that I even want to play. There are a few good bands but not many recommendations anyone.
Music is so subjective. What I love you probably wouldn't, and vice versa. I think there is a wealth of great music out there. You just need to look harder. Try putting 'Tiny Desk Concerts' in youtube search engine. 15 minute sets from some great bands. Some you'll know. Some you've never heard of. Good luck.
Hey Justin, can you teach some Rise Against songs? Maybe like Savior, Ready To Fall, Prayer Of The Refugee, or Help Is On The Way? I know these are probably not super commonly requested, so I understand if you cant get them! Thank you for the lessons and keep on rockin!
hi Justin, great song! Didn't know it before, but gonna learn it immediately! Just one quick question: could you do a lesson on bette davis eyes? The version that Dean Ray played on the X-factor seems really cool. Thanks for the lesson.
Sweeping Sweeper Its pretty much that till the end, except when they repeat "Crazy little thing called love" near then end it's just D for one bar then Bb for half a bar and c, it's simple reallt
Scrap that, I've just found your lessons on that! Maybe a lesson on the it's only love solo intro by Bryan Adams or Thunder's love walked in! Cheers again
Justin, would it sound wrong or weird playing the solo in the original way? It's such a beautiful little solo that, to me, makes the song as great as it is.
Another great lesson Justin is there any chance you could do one on the safety dance by men without hats. I know it's not as complex as some songs but for some reason I just can't figure the strumming out.
