i get around my town ona 2013 klx140L for 2+ years. its not much but it does me well getting around and exploring Trails. i got it for a Grand, i put alot of new parts on it , along with new tires! and got it plated & registered. i live in Central Cape breton island out in the Sticks so a Atv/dirt bike is de best in my eyes to get around
Im really loving my 300R. Im 53, and basically restarting. Lots of tractoring ability, and not to snappy, but the power is certainly there. Thanks for the recommend on this bike.
I am 69 and still have the bug to at least ride a lower CC dirt bike at friends farm. I started with Honda Mini Trail when 15 and had the Kawasaki 750 2cc three cylinder, that I loved. Foolishly, I sold both long and ago and regret it nearly every day. Any recommendations for a nice dirt bike, lower CC, rear shocks, lights and electric start. Thanks very much!
I don't love that you put the klx300r in the big and tall section when a big selling point is the short wheel base. For 4 stroke trail bikes you went from the honda crf250f to the wr250f which has about twice the horsepower and cost as the honda, to where the klx300r is right in between both power, quality, and price wise and also has the short wheel base. Like you said there isn't a 'best' per say, but to only mention the klx300r in the big and tall section does it a massive disservice.
I put it in the big and tall section "for beginners" because I think that's usually the best choice for that specific person. Yes, it's an excellent trail bike - I simply didn't include it there because if someone has a CRF250F, the KLX300R wouldn't be a huge upgrade - the WR250F would probably be the better choice. There were a lot of good bikes I didn't include because this video would've been at least twice as long if I did, lol.
Good question. I don't recommend riding in the dunes as a beginner because it's harder to stay in control and requires more effort, but a 230/250 trail bike would be fine for starting on with good tires. Something like the KLX230R or CRF250F. I know someone will come in and say that you need a race bike for the dunes because the sand sucks up the horsepower, but I still recommend a "slow bike" to start on as it will be easier to control and learn on. Let us know what you end up with, Abdullah!

Nice - yeah that sounds like fun in an area like that!

Good to hear - thanks for giving us an update!
Do you run it in rain map?
I think you missed the FX series for track/trail. Amazing bike I think best of the bunch.
Yeah there are a number of bikes that I missed... I'll have to add them if I make a similar video next year. Thanks for watching and sharing!

Nice! Do you need it to be street legal, Dan?
Been looking at jumping to a Beta 390 RR-S from my undersized CRF 250F
That would definitely be an upgrade in size and power. Do you need a street legal bike?

What's a good bike for sand dunes and beginner? Because I live in a desert and it is really soft sand here ..

So your saying i souldnt start with a 450?
Hey JohnPaul, thanks for watching! What type of riding will you be doing and what's your reason for wanting to start with a 450?
Idk what you're talking about the best dirt bike is obviously owning every yamaha.
No other dirt bike brand can compare - they might as well all close up shop because everyone should buy Yamaha! ;)
