I took a homeless man out to breakfast, his nickname was "Lucky". Turns out he was the son of a pastor and knew scripture even better than I did at the time! Because of my genuine interest in him, he decided to turn himself in to the authorities, did his time and returned home to his family. He called me months later to thank me. You never know what lives you are touching by just being kind and caring. Thanks Knate!

I know a similar story. My dad had a friend who was homeless. He had warrants for absconding. My dad and his work buddies kept offering him a job, and he really wanted to do it but he didn’t know and was always so unsure, and would end up saying “not yet” or “soon”. One day he shows up on the site and goes “will that job offer stand in six months?i need to know”. And they all were like “of course..but why!”. Apparently he didn’t wanna get a job because he was so paranoid about getting arrested. He’d previously been working at a tree company and that’s how the police found him the last time. So he said “I gotta sort some stuff out. When I’ve done my time and paid my dues, I’ll come back”. Turned himself in, got sent back to West Virginia, and a little over seven months later he came in on a bus back to Easton and found one of the crew guys and was like “I’m back, I’m ready to work”. He was so tired of those past charges and the absconding over bullshit small charges from keeping him from living his life properly so he just owned up to it all. Was a GREAT worker. Man walked to work every day and literally never was late because he’d leave his house two hours early. My dad and some other guys ended up giving him rides.

Knate, you're one of the only "influencers" who doesn't seem to come to the homeless in an exploitive manner. It truly seems like you're trying to offer assistance to them in a way that allows them to get a leg up. I appreciate that. I cringe when I see a lot of the videos from others who help the homeless for views and end up making thousands off of exploiting them.

frr, i remember seeing drama about faked tiktok content where people pretend they were "giving back", one in particular where the dude was giving away the latest Iphone to a homeless person that turned out to be an actor. I am skeptical going into this sort of content because it so often comes across as exploitative, and sometimes the stuff given don't really help in the long term and more focused on short term convenience.
I don't get the feeling that it's the case here. It really feels like he cares and genuinely wants to know these people, that they're not another number for him to press record on and make bucks. Helping them with food and allowing them the opportunity to get and maintain a job. Sweet stuff.

This group of guys, though they are homeless, have been very pointed about the things they get. from the spot they chose for their encampment to the things they get when they shop. Everything meets their most desperate need; nothing frivolous. Certainly a group where Knate's help is warranted. The couple that talked certainly seem to be focused on getting a job. Some people just need a boost, a helping hand.
I like Knate's idea of wanting to build his business so he can start offering some of them work. That he doesn't care where they sleep and wants to put in a shower - priceless. God bless you and your business Knate. May you be richly blessed as you so richly bless so many. 🙏

People always criticise (at least here in the UK) homeless people with animals, & I will ALWAYS fiercely defend them, they’re some of the most loved & cared for animals you will ever meet. Dogs (& cats, I have indeed come across homeless people with loving cats who loyally stay by their side) bring so much love, companionship & comfort to someone who is homeless. They will always spend money on their furrbabies long before they’ll ever spend money on themselves.
I completely understand his hesitation in not knowing who to leave his furrbaby with. I wish so bad I lived close enough to offer assistance. I’m disabled, I’m not able to work, I grew up on a farm surrounded by animals, I’ve had dogs & cats my entire life & I love them to pieces. If nothing else, I could offer shelter to their furrbabies during work hours & hopefully give them comfort that they’ll be absolutely fine until they got off of work. I wouldn’t want anything for it. In fact, I’d quite enjoy the company.
Wishing this trio so much love & luck in their future. I’m glad they have each other. Thanks Knate for helping them & giving them hope x

I love my homeless people cause ain't many stronger than them. Imagine all the ish they go through on a daily & yet still show Mad trust in the same humans walking past abusing them for fun half the time.

Loved him ever since. But my heart took over as I drove past this young man sat by traffic lights approaching cars nearly in tears. As I drove past I said to him you can't be there my darling & I parked & walked back to him. We must of spoken for 30+ mins & I left with him in my passenger seat, we went to Morrisons, got him a gift for his girlfriend on valentine's day as well as a few bits to eat & drink, then I took cash out & handed it to him 😉 we then left. He walked me to my car gave me the biggest hug & we left each other. Now we're happy to see each other, he calls me his lucky charm as he finds money 💰 when he sees me & I call him my adopted son. Love him to the moon + Tax.

@@Nnnnnnnnnnnnnnsh Nope. Incorrect. Most homeless people receive money each day through begging, passers by also provide food for them as well as cat or dog food, it’s one of the first things most people buy for the homeless actually, is food for their animal. I’ve never ever met an underfed or neglected homeless pet, ever. A homeless individual would be the first to hand their animal over long before their animal ever reached the point of starvation, they love them too much to see them go without food. We also have some programmes here in the UK where certain animal charities will go around checking on the homeless animals, teeth, nail trimmings, any necessary flea / working treatments etc, all through donations. Even they state the homeless take better care of their animals than some of the ones they see through their doors who have homes. Perhaps do some research on it.

I was going through a bout of homelessness. I had small children and would take them to my moms at bedtime and drop them off and go sleep in my car because I didn't feel like I deserved to stay there too. It was 2008 and I literally lost everything. God brought me through it and I still thank him for it. God has already prepared the path, keep walking 🙏

In my country, there was a project to get homeless people back into safe accommodation, ideally an apartment. It was discovered that homeless people are often overwhelmed by their new housing situation and all the new things and therefore reject it. They first have to get used to taking care of the household and all the other things again. That's why the organization has offered them so much help and things they feel comfortable with. That is why I think you do the right thing!

JK, I stumbled upon you by accident and figured it was just another person trying to show how righteous they are. You’re the real deal! You inspire me to be better, to do better and to treat all persons better. I myself have been where they are and it was the heart of others that sent me on the right path. Then about 15 yrs later I was saved. Jesus guides me now, through men like you. Thank you for being REAL and thank you for all that you do for the forgotten ones like me.

Hey Knate, I've been watching you for a bit and I love what you do for the homeless people, which is very admirable.
I understand that you have a warehouse or factory? To ship out stuff that you sell online and have stuff to give to the homeless, so I would like to put a bug in your ear, if your local city/county is up to the task of helping the homeless people, would it be possible to have a store front at your location so you could sell stuff directly to the locals? Just something to think about, and a few of the homeless people can help out and get a shower while they're working with you

That's immediately what I thought, he doesn't seem to want to be inside where as he said "he would be paying someone else's rent/mortgage but it seems like an RV or trailer would benefit him, he seems to be an independent, out of the box, free-range kind of person.

There’s a UA-cam channel that provides second hand trailers for homeless people. I forgot the name of it Yet it seems to be a very good idea. Gets people into shelter/private and they aren’t lumbered with a weekly payment. Bit more secure.

The literal amount of energy that it takes to survive ONE day, would be enough for me to know that they would outwork most, be resourceful and appreciative! I had to spend just only two weeks outside, because I am stubborn, it was in a Utah summer where every day was 100+! just finding a BATHROOM is a part time job! Finding a safe place to sleep is a FULL TIME job, mixed with actually another job because now, how do I eat? How do I wash my hands? Where do I go when it rains/snows? Where do I put my stuff? Do I pack it or risk leaving it? Will someone hurt me? When you FINALLY sleep, it isn’t full REM sleep because you’re not wanting to fully fall asleep because your defense is up!

We seriously could use more people like him in the street making a real difference. This guy will do virtually anything to lift people up and really listen to the situation and story that each individual has that he encounters. The love is very self evident, I get choked up sometimes watching what he does, and remembering being homeless myself. People like Knate help me reserve a bit more hope for the world around me.

Good man, it's so hard to get back in society once your homeless. I had a big family where most were financially secure but I found out that I was on my own. Usually it was the brother in laws who were against me staying with either sister so I never pushed or got mad over it.
Without someone helping and honestly taking a risk on me...I'd probably be dead. It was the hardest living I've ever done.
I give what I can even when I know someone's in active addiction. I remember physical withdrawals and I don't wish that on anyone.
Sorry for my rambling I just wanted to say God bless you, Im selfish with using that term but you really deserve it.

Perhaps the best thing for people is to allow them to have a small plot somewhere out of town to live the way they choose. Then they can commute to work, wherever that may be and just start over. Not everyone wants a McMansion or to pay exorbitant rent. But, everyone would like to have a home, however it is defined. Thanks Knate for looking after those who choose an alternative lifestyle. And a place to shower without questions is valuable to the homeless. A place to safely keep your possessions or animals is important as well.

    Sorry for rambling message
Probably ridiculpus as they seem so organized but… just in case:
For the man with the dog- might be a good idea to get a little kennel/crate so he can start training the dog to be ok by itself (not barking its head off/ destroying something/the room)- some dogs have a really hard time with separation anxiety.
We got our pup from a shelter around ~12-15 weeks old. And since day 2 she has been by herself at least 10min/day and she is just fine (we had to move 4x in the last 5 years- not once our choice).
My mom got a dog during covid and they forgot and the dog is still struggling now.
We also tape the time via an old ipad so we know for sure if she is making noise and can react and correct. Plus others can’t make up stories; luckily this never happened to us but peace of mind is nice
PS: love the longer videos 😍
