When I was a truck driver, occasionally would run into people trying to get back to where they came from. One time, I met a guy who had been in a hospital for 8 years (his entire family was killed in a house fire, and they had him on some hard core meds.) I watched him be converted to following YHWH. I took him to my house, got him an apartment, and within a week he had a great job. 2 weeks after he got hired, a tornado wiped out the cell phone service in a nearby town. He was still in training, and his trainer left him in the main wiring place while he went to the next one. The guy I helped had cell phone service up and running in 20 minutes. He got a big raise. He was a good guy. Shout out to my friend John.
My journey in terms of bringing more positivity and perspective into my life was ThatWasEpic and Mr.Beast videos. Now that I'm feeling better and got my own life back on track it's Just Knate and a few others to keep that positivity going. I've found it's made a difference in the way I approach people, my community and random people. I may not be able to help to this degree but the smile, friendly conversations and overall joy in my life has gotten way better. It's not just hope anymore, I'm feeling more at peace with myself and the world around me. Hope that you watching these vids can do something like that for you, too :) Currently looking into the possibility of being a foster home for pets or something like that for my local animal shelter.

You're the best Knate. I want to share a story with you. My dad used own a Coca-Cola route in Manhattan. Greenwich Village to be exact. He always would give change or a dollar or two to the homeless because he he said we are ALL one bad choice, one mistake, or one bad situation away from living like that. In one area there was an old Vietnam Veteran who was black and we nicknamed him Doctor Pepper because whenever we would offer him change or mover he asked for a Dr. Pepper instead. In this area though there were a few homeless guys that just didn't care about anything you gave then and a few times they tried to break into the truck. Once we came outside and the dude Dr. Pepper was fighting one of them because he was trying to break until the truck. From then on when we would deliver in that area of Greenwich Village which was once a week my dad would give him a case of Dr. Pepper one as a thank you and two to gaurd the truck for us. We had four stops in that area only a few blocks apart and he would meet us at every stop and gaurd the truck. Then he would take the case of Dr. Pepper cans and save some for himself, give some to friends and sell some. In early 2000 after my dad sold the route I took my girlfriend to the village to go see the places we delivered too, say hi to the store owners and it was about 8 years since I saw Dr. Pepper. But there he was outside a D'Agostino's Supermarket. But before I went up to him I went into the store and bought a 6 pack of Dr. Pepper. When I approached him he looked at me funny till I said, "Up what's up Dr. Pepper!" and his face lit up and he literally had tears in his eyes and gave me a huge hug. People were looking at us like why is this white dude letting some smelly dirty homeless guy hug him? Even my girlfriend was a little taken back by it. But I didn't care. He's a human being just like me. But he started asking a million questions because one day we just stopped showing up after my dad should the route. So I let him know dad's retired and I wanted to come see how he's doing. I went and bought us all pizza and for two hours we just talked. He cried again when I gave him the six pack of Dr. Pepper and he thanked me for never treating him differently and looking down on him. I found out he had family still down in South Carolina but being homeless with PTSD from war and other mental issues including a hero in habit he was able to kick, he lost contact with him. So I asked him his full name and his sister's names and what part of South Carolina they were in and asked if he minded if I searched for them to which he said no but he doubted I would find them because he had a very common last name "Brown" and there will be too many to go through. And he was right. Again this was back in early 2000 and the internet wasn't as big as it was today. But eventually I found a meesage board that was for people looking for family members or friends who were in the military. People would either leave their email or phone numbers. I found over 50 people who had the same damn first and last name as his as his three sisters. Either it was Lotoya Brown, Bernice Brown, or Candice Brown. So I started calling and emailing. The 42 email I sent a lady names Latoya Brown messaged me back and asked me to call her. When I did and explained how I knew Dr. Pepper who's real name was Jimmy, and the details he gave me of where he grew up, what branch of the Military and years he served in Vietnam she said she thought it might be her brother. When I mentioned the birthmark he had above his right eye she started crying and said it was him. Sooo fast forward to two months later. His three sisters drove up to New York to our house on Long Island and we planned out a surprise for Jimmy. We would find where he was and me and my dad would go talk to him while his sister's watched from around the corner and would come over to us when I waved to them. We found Dr. Pepper, I'll call him Jinny from here on out and again bought a so pack and when we walked up to him and he saw me with my dad he again started crying and hugging us both. We sat with him right there on the street with people passing us by looking at us and I could tell judging us but f**k those people. He eventually asked if I had any luck finding his family and I didn't tell him yes, I just started explaining the process and website looking for old family and friends who were in Vietnam and lost touch but when I told him a nonchalantly acted like I was stretching and did my best to wave his sisters over. They weren't sure if I was waving at them so they made hand gestures like, you want us to come over now? And I shook my head yes with a thumbs up. When we had sat down I made sure to have us sitting where his back was to his sisters and they walked up behind him and stood a foot or two behind him, all quiet waiting for him to look back at them. After 30 seconds I asked them, "Can I help you ladies?" and when Jimmy looked at them he lost it. He screamed and jumped up and kept saying over and over, "No way this is real, No way this is real" and they had to tell him yes it's real, Danny (Me) tracked us down and we had to come see if it was really you. They were hugging and crying and taking a million miles per hour because it was almost 30 years since they saw each other. And without them asking him if he wanted to, he asked them, "Can I go home with you? I don't want to live out here anymore" and they of course said yes and when his older sister said that their mom has prayed every day since he disappeared that he would come home and her prayers were finally answered. She didn't make the drive because she was in her mid 70's and it would've been too much for her. So all of us piled into my dad's van and we drove back to long Island. We stopped at a Kmart and bought him some new clothes and he had his first shower in months (he would take the at a shelter when he was able to get a bed) I had my boy who's a barber come over and gave him a haircut. We all went out to dinner that night to a really nice steakhouse, Peter Luger's and they all just looked at each other hooks hands so tight like they were afraid to lose each other again and would cry. Jimmy's birthday had passed a few weeks before but I wanted to give him that love of us singing Happy Birthday to him and his first time celebrating it in almost three decades that when I explained that to the waitress she said she was wondering what was going on because of all the tears so she herself started crying and told her manager. The WHOLE waitstaff, cooks, and manager came over with a piece of cake and sang happy birthday to him and it turned out the manager was ex Military and said to Jimmy, "Welcome home brother!" and he said our entire meal was on the house! They took a picture with us and if you go to Peter Luger's Steakhouse on Northern Boulevard in Great Neck you'll see the picture of us. The next day Jimmy and his sisters drove home and to this day Jimmy and I talk once or twice a week through calls and texts. He eventually got married and asked me to be his best man and that was an AMAZING experience. His mom called me her second son until she passed away in 2014 at 91 years old. And in 2018 when my mom passed away Jimmy surprised me by coming to her wake with his wife and son, who he named Danny after me. I know you'll probably never read this, but if you do or anyone else does always remember to be kind to EVERYONE you see and meet because you don't know what they're going through and that simple hello or smile could change their lives. We're ALL just human beings trapped in this spinning ball of mud hurling through space and regardless of what the news media says or any politician says we need each other and have more in common with each other than we don't. None of them will be there for us if everything falls apart, so we have to be there for each other. United we stand, divided we fall. And that's what the government wants. A divided people is an easier controlled people. Much love and respect to you all and don't fall for the division.
What a wonderful thing to do. James just needed that helping hand and you were there for him. So were the Iowa Deputies. Wishing James and Angela a long and happy life together ❤️🙏

Everyone is suggesting a gas card. Although the alternative of riding with a stranger was not ideal, people donate to his effort, and he is a dedicated steward of those donations. He does not give out cash or anything that can easily be converted to cash (like a gas card). I get it.
Well, also, its good that nate was there.. he would have been fked if he was alone when he got pulled over..
@@richsweeney1115yup and the flat tire blow out right at the start
@@richsweeney1115yeah he would have been arrested for sure. his vehicle impounded. And then lost. Auctioned off at tow yard losing all that he owned. …. Easy recipe for making a bad decisions thats final and permanent. .
Most gift cards cannot be converted to cash.
@@lsjax72of course it could be converted someone buys it off you for less.

Thank you Knate and your wife for what you do. I try to help those in need in my area with what extra money I have from working a second job. Just today I bought a pair of tennis shoes socks and a t shirt for a guy that just got out of jail last sat that got a job so he can go to work Monday. I think your idea of buying one item on your site and giving one is a great idea. I bought a pair of socks today from your website so you can give a pair to one in need. Keep up the good work. You and your wife will continue to be blessed.
Well didn’t plan on crying tonight but that ending was just too sweet. Seeing how happy they both were to have each other just made me start ugly crying ❤

Absolutely killer video my friend.
I'm actually glad that you didn't record his reaction to your offer. I'm happy you kept that moment of pure joy and happiness for just the two of you. Sure it's nice to see the instant people's dreams come true but sometimes those moments are better savored by the few.
