Totally agree that ADSOM is a great book/series for people who want to try adult fantasy but want something a little easier to consume! Man I miss that trilogy. Also the first book that came to mind with that comment re: ensemble cast for me was.... Six of Crows HAHA

All over the place, I love it. Daniel X is one of my favorite sci-fi series. If you loved Magnus Chase, you should check out the Blackwell Pages series. A series that reminds me of Percy Jackson is the Seven Wonders series by Peter Lerangis. And a book that tackles larger issues would probably be Tale of Magic by Chris Colfer, it's the start of a prequel series to the Land of Stories.
Ohh I've read the Blackwell Pages!! With Fen, Matt and Laurie right? I'm rereading the series, I never got to finish the 3rd book so I'm rereading the first one and it's pretty good!!
