SUPER video and SUPER looking Tacoma!
YESSIR! Thanks for the kind words!
Quicksand! Great video, can’t wait to get one!
Carolina Woods-n-Water Yea you definitely need one! Super sweet ride! When you do get on you think you’ll go with quicksand?
Aing I’m trying to decide between the quicksand and the cement. Right now, the scales are tipping toward the cement. Either way, both are awesome colors!
Carolina Woods-n-Water Great minds think alike, when I was about to purchase mine they didn’t have cement in stock so I went with quicksand! Both colors are very nice 👍
I work at a automotive part manufacturer and we paint in house. I think your white paint held up better mainly because you have to use more white paint to cover the black color of the plastic. It's a thicker layer of paint thus it's more durable compared to thinner colors.
Ty54101 well that is some very good insight and makes sense 👍👍
Good video. Tighten up that stash playa!
😂
Definitely got to lol
I feel you, my quicksand has the same issue with paint
Yea a lot of people are saying the same thing! would be nice to have a recall, but highly doubt that!
Great review man! Toyota’s biggest weakness is paint quality on all their vehicles imo. You gotta watch those dealers with service!!! I always do my own oil changes. My dad had the same exact problem you did with the oil cap. His oil light came on so he called me and asked if I could bring him some oil because it wasn’t even registering on the dipstick. When I showed up to put the oil in and tried to take the cap off we realized the cap was not even tightened at all. It was just sitting there. Exactly why I do my own service! I’m thinking of trading my 2019 F-150 for this exact truck so your video is helpful!
Thanks for the advice! Yea my dad always warned me about dealerships and their service department but never thought it could happen to me hahaha definitely will be doing my own from now on. You should definitely get a Tacoma super sweet truck love it sooo much. F-150 aren’t bad though for now 👍
i am a big Toyota fan i drive scion xb and love it, Hondas are not bad either, love the truck
The back seat in XBs is very underrated! I had a buddy with that car and was very surprised. Yea both my parents drive Hondas great cars very well made. Thank for the comment :)
It's hard to believe but my 2017 taco sr came in white and I love it never looks dirty and the white body with the black trim is awsome.plus mines 5 years old so they came in 5 speed manuals in the sr then and there a blank canvas for modders.
That’s why I change my own oil and don’t have the dealer do it🤔
Lesson Learned!
Never trust anyone with your car
20 bucks for a bottle of ceramic coat, get about three uses per bottle.
The oil looks red which would indicate transmission or power steering fluid. Did they check those areas?
When you buy a new Vehicle and you pay a lot of money you’re always worried about everything. I have a 2021 Tacoma and I go out of my way to park it away from other cars but it’s like a magnet people always want to park next to me. Sometimes I think they are purposely doing it.
bro....you dont know how much I can relate to this. Took a trip to the beach there was garage parking parked on the 5th floor parking for maybe 100 other cars on that floor, one Ford Taurus parked right next to me.
Just painted a boxside on a tundra this color yesterday and I have to admit I was on the struggle bus trying to blend it out
I had a 5-tire rotation done at the Toyota dealer on my 4Runner. They seem to hate doing that, I had to ask twice to make sure they understood what I wanted. I got about a block away when the tire underneath came loose, and I ran over it. Had to stop, get out, open the hatch and put the tire in there while people are stuck behind me. Went straight back to the dealer, I was not happy.
Nice color bro!!! Just got mines, 2020 trd pro taco super white:) have u ever used pedal commander?
M3 F80 Nice!!!!!! TRD PRO wheels on 2020 models are sooo nice! And no I wanna get it, have you?
We have the same car :D
@@jimmygimbal i love the star wars kinda look :)
@@OfficialAing thinking about it man, i believe it could use a litttle more punch 👊 lol
M3 F80 Agreed! I’m going to buy it soon and make a review 😁
Exact thing happened to me when I had my oil changed at RR Toyota in Austin. They did a great job, but the next day I had a huge oil puddle under my FJ Cruiser. I was able to finger tighten the drain plug. I called Toyota and they wanted to send the tech who made the mistake out to my house to re-do my oil change as well as clean the floor of my garage. They really owned that one. Great service, but it left me a little worried. After that I started doing everything myself. I know people make mistakes, but if you can tighten a drain plug why should I trust you do to my breaks?
WOW! That was very nice of them to take those actions, man you got me thinking now. lol that is pretty scary if they mess up on the brakes that could end a lot worse. Def gonna look into doing this myself
That’s the same Toyota dealer I use! They’ve always taken care of me but that’s are shameful. Swing by the Cedar park one they’re great. Watching this this to see afirmation we all bought great Toyota products!
I cheat from google QSANDY probably means: covered in or consisting mostly of sand:
light yellowish brown. Btw nice color on the taco!
HAHAHA Good try but Q is for Quick SANDY is for SAND because the color of the truck is called QUICKSAND but also my girlfriends name is Sandy lol Thanks for the comment and the support!
3:35 Sounds like the pads on the grippers are missing. You probably need them to cover that under warranty. On mine I had a repaint where the repair tech broke the glass, and he didnt vacuum all the shards inside the door. So for ~4 months little shards of glass would come out of the rain drainport on the bottom of my Hyundai driver side door.. not a good experience :(
First Last ouch! Yea I definitely need to get on it ASAP! Sorry to hear that the dealership didn’t take care of this?
Im a painter and its way harder to see imperfections on white vehicles than any other color. But that sand color looks way better than white.
Agreed! Love this color! Thanks for the comment and the insight!
Fuel filter housing cap is plastic. Best to buy the metal version of it asap this way it will no break as the plastic ones do.
Hmm didnt even know this! Thanks for that info!
One f the reason that I didn't by a Tacoma was because it was too long for my garage. I actually liked the Extend cab,, not crew cab. Unfortunately, the length is still the same because the wheel base is the same except with a 6 ft bed.
Yea thats rough, what did you end up getting?
Good vid. I have a 2020 Toyota Tacoma same color. I am a stickler on the grill tho I don’t like it. I ordered a oem grill that says Toyota with some raptor lights
SWEET! Cant go wrong with the raptor lights! Kind of want to hold to this grill a little longer, let me know how the install goes! Thanks for the comment! 😎
Ive been looking into getting a tacoma, I’ve been interested in the trd sport but the trd pro is so much more aesthetically pleasing. I won’t be going off road as much however i will be using it to haul some things in the future. Will it be more efficient getting a trd sport and switching out the grills ? Or sticking to the pro
@@CVM.J I mean if you have the money for a pro I’d get one! But if not the off road is pretty badass. I got about 13k on my Tacoma now and it’s been nothing but awesome. I seriously in love with my truck haha
@@Jimi-Funkycold-Molina definitely getting a pro then, thanks man !
I have about 7,800 miles on my 2019 Trd off-road and so far I’ve had a good experience with it. My only negative is that the paint is on the weaker side, and that the interior has too much plastic in it.
Samuel Rowland Lol I was at a stop light just now and I was just thinking “there is a lot of plastic in here” so in other words AGREED! What color did you get?
Aing Barcelona Red Metallic
Niiice! That’s such a good color 😎
Super
Pedro Rodriguez THANKS 😁
Hi...please which is advisable to buy for a daily driver...Toyota Tacoma 2.7liter 2016 vs Toyota highlander 2.7liter 2016....please I urgently need help on this. Vehicle to be used as a daily driver
I’m saving up for this truck before I move to North Dakota for college. It should be good in the snow and -40 temps
Bryan K oh yeah definitely you will be very surprised how capable these are in the snow I had a 2WD in about 6Inch of snow and no problems lol Great trucks super reliable
Aing the only thing I’m concerned about is rust and super cold temps. I hope that doesn’t damage it that much lol
I’d say maybe rust is the only thing to worry about, but if you buy new id say make sure to protect with some type of undercoating. In VA the coldest it got was -2 so not -40 lol but it’s a Toyota it can handle it (I hope)
Aing True. It should be fine. I like the channel btw keep it up 👍🏼
I appreciate the support 😁😁
I’ve got a chip too. I also backed into the garage 3 days after getting one. Good dent too. The paint (white) seems to be fragile.
Brandon Cortez Those garages are dangerous hahah I’ve gotten way to close to mine, almost hit it more than twice. Really!? Hmm maybe they’ve changed something about the paint in newer models 🤔
Toyota white paint has always been known to not be that good. I previously owned a 2013 Camry in white and swore never to get a Toyota white again- too many chips and dings. Also I heard all paint now is water based due to the environmentalists and as a result it sucks.
Aaaah! That makes sense, just wish it wasn’t so expensive to repair it hahaha
Didn't look at the back up camera? lol.. I have a 2018 super white, and no paint problems at all..
@@chrisb6866 the camera is located on the tailgate. It won’t show what I’m about to hit on the roof.
My dream truck 😭 after college 🤞🏼
Allen G yessir it shall be yours! Can’t wait it’s the beat truck I’ve ever had lol
I work from late week feb, bought and took my 2020 tacoma sr5 4x4 v6 (same as trd sport except the hood scoop, heavier wheels, bilstein suspension) in middle of may. Im 18 when i got it.
That’s super sweet brother congratulations SR5 are super nice I had one too, loved the truck 👌
Chief🔰 congrats dude can’t wait for mine 💪🏽
Hell yeah dude, I'm Savin right now to have one by this time next year 🤙
The rear glass sounds out of alignment. Toyota should fix that. Was the AC condenser just dropping fluid? That’s normal. Sounds like they did not tighten the nut enough after oil change.
The paint chops could be from your automatic car wash?
Ahhhhh!!! Good point! Definitely going to look into hand washing 👍
That back door window should be covered by warranty. Take a quart of water pour it out on driveway. It will cover a lot more surface that what the oil covered . I would say pour a quart of oil but it is really messy.
Randall Upton Yea I’m going to take it in to the shop next weekend 👍 2nd Part of your comment deserves an award hahaha would definitely make a mess but I will try with a quart of water!
Did you end up getting the ov tune?
Sounds super.😵😱
THANK YOU! LOL no one else said anything about it!
@@OfficialAing super video.👍🏽
I really appreciate that. Thank you. I’m glad you enjoyed 😁
Please show us how the alarm system works. Thank you
There is something dripping from your truck around the 4:26-4:32 mark. Might be just the A/c condensation.
Yup the a/c, got me scared for a second lol
Oof I'm sorry about your experience, based on the oil pattern I bet the Tech didn't tighten oil cartridges cap ( dumb design) and the drain plug enough
YUP! Thats exactly what the service tech stated, and yea it sucked but I am glad people are becoming aware this can happen
Nice truck man... i got 8000 so far on my 2018 sr5
Maika Braun THANKS! Almost at 10k! I had an SR5 before they are very nice 👍 you do your own service or are you taking into Toyota for 10k service?
@@OfficialAing i take it to toyota
Nice 👍 let us know how the 10K servicing goes, seems like you don’t drive too much hahaha would be interesting to see how everything is doing 😁
I would have a qualified 3rd party checkout engine to be sure there's no damage.
That’s what I am thinking about doing, worries me a little cause of how much oil I saw on the drive way lol
That is why I work on my trucks.
I think thats the route I am going to have to take, if they mess up on a oil change fine but what about a brake job!
@@OfficialAing All of those jobs are pretty easy to do yourself You seem like you have a good head on your shoulders you should start doing some simple mechanical work yourself.
@@AaronMartinCOOLVIDEO I appreciate that! Yea my dad has been a mechanic for 30 years and doesnt like that I take it to a dealership for service, thankfully I have him to teach me. I already know a bit (not enough) but def going to start. Thanks for the kind words!
Please do a Pinnacle 1 series by a certified Tinter and buy yourself a $150 shop vac with a thin attachment so you can clean it right; shine society interior cleaner!
is there a way to improve mpg? my 2020 trd off road says 22 mpg hwy but i have not gotten over 19 mpg no matter how i drive it. i love the truck i am just a little upset about the mpg which is why i went from gm to toyota. i love the color of your !!! i have the cement grey
Jeremy Dancy I am looking into making a video on it soon, but short answer no 😕 most of the time I’m at 18-20 and from what I hear it takes time for the truck to break in then you’ll get better mpg. Thanks I love the cement grey I wanted it but none in stock 🙄 your truck should pick up in MGP
I have a 2019 Quicksand DC SR5. It's my 3rd Tacoma. Best one yet. On my last 3.5 hour road trip I averaged 27.2 mpg and kept it at around 60 most of the way. Long flat Florida roads. Just my two cents worth.
You’re a legend! 27 MPG? In a V6 Tacoma!? That’s crazy man you got a gem lol
Yeah I was totally surprised by that. The best I ever saw with my '15 MGM DC long bed was 21mpg.
2017 white tacoma here. What are you vou going on about white paint?
NICE! I was saying Ive had 2 white tacoma and not a single ding scratch or chip! I get a "NICER" color and it gets destroyed lol long story short in my opinion white is the best color to get! 😎👍
So 2 of the 3 negative points are not Toyota’s fault. Chips are from use, the oil leak was human error. Did you bring it for warranty service for the window ?
I got my sport in June in silver. I love it so far , biggest peeve is no auto on/off headlights.
Michael D'Amico Yea no i definitely don’t “BLAME” them for it. I understand the more you use something the more it’s going to be exposed to the elements. & NICE! Silver is such a nice looking color on these truck 👍 yea no auto lights should be standard!
Michael D'Amico , Do they no longer have auto headlights because I have a 2019 Sport and mine are auto on/off.
Mine are not auto 🤷🏻♂️ some do have it but I believe Toyota charges more for it now with the “upgraded headlights”
The saddest part of a new car/truck is watching it grow old....
GERALD FLORES very very true 😕
I got a 2021 4x4 sr5 army green! :D
The limited editions paint for the Tacoma and tundra etc don’t hold up well they do need to fix that
my driver's side window rattles and some times it will make a weird screeching noise as i'm going down the highway
Whaaaat?! I haven't had any issues while driving, have you taken it to Toyota?🤦♂️ I wonder why it happens?!
Clear as day on your notes from the dealership states the oil plug was loose and they had to tighten. It's not that far off that you would lose a quart of oil within a few weeks if it's leaking that way. I would be much more concerned if it leaked from the filter. Oil would have gotten on everything. Fortunately from the loose plug it just leaked onto the floor. When the truck is being driven most of the oil is in the engine pumped from the area where the plug is at. So while driving not much is escaping but when stopped or parked oil sits in the oil pan and leaks mostly then. Good luck on your part. Someone at your dealership should have been written up or smacked on the hand as I am sure just like tightening lug nuts during a tire rotation its' something for safety that Toyota makes them check off.
Felix Rivas literally the best comment! Lol I definitely agree I just would hate for it to happen to someone and then be less fortunate, thanks for the support 👍
They are very thorough on the checklist but some supervisors may have missed it.
You don’t have to change the glass you can just tighten the screws that hold the window in place there probably loose
Understood thank you!
It seems like the paint is very thin on mine. Still looks good but I’m very careful with it. Easily scratches.
Agreed! Looks very nice when clean and scratch free!
Same.
They most likely didn't tighten the filter all the way, if not then it would be the plug. Or maybe both.
The service advisor told me filter wasnt tightened all the way, but it couldve been both
You didn't think too much of the stain even though you just got the oil changed? That's not a drip or two that's a sizable stain of oil. You should have dealt with that immediately.
Jim F I literally never would’ve thought Toyota would do something like that, will never be that naive 🙄
I recently purchased a tacoma and I find it weird that the transmission makes a loud whine noise at a low gear. Those anyone's else tacoma make a similar sound?
My back door sounds exactly like that. I bought the truck 2 weeks ago..
Sean Stewart wth!!! That’s crazy!? Maybe it’s a problem with the new trucks!?
Aing yeah it literally happened last night as I was getting something out of the back seat. I have the 2020 TRD off road. My window was up though but it made a weird rattle noise.
I haven’t made an appointment to the dealership, but what about you? You gonna take it in? From what I think it’s maybe missing a clip
Toyota cutting corner
Guessing that someone on the production line didn't put the correct part on or the wrong part. With mass production, it happens.
Drive it through the trees on a narrow trail, and never worry about your paint again.
LOL I did and the truck did great....well the paint did I was surprised!
The problem with my white one is you see all the rock chips on the white paint on the front
Yea ended up getting a lot on the quicksand but I hear white is a lot worse!
I guess this is why Toyota offers that paint protection film for $$$.
Jon Sepueda yup! Was just on the site like $400 for front bumper protective film! No thanks!
More likely, the old gasket from the oil filter stuck on and they didn't catch it.
Willam Munny you know that’s actually the first time that was brought up, good point 🤔 thanks for commenting!
@@OfficialAing The filter on your Tacoma is a cartridge type and doesn't use a gasket. It has O-rings to seal. Do yourself a favor and replace the plastic filter housing with an aluminum one at the next oil change because the plastic one will eventually crack- probably after the warranty expires. The paperwork from the dealer said the drain plug was loose, which means you were lucky it didn't fall out while driving and blow up the motor.
Warning light on with one quart low is legit.
Brian Austin THANKS! Only person to point that out, was wondering but good to know someone backs that point! Thanks for the comment!
Yes but he said this was after two weeks since the oil change and it was one quart low? The Mustang GT350s don't even burn oil that fast and their known to go through oil. Also the oil low light shouldn't be on with only one quart low, so that tells me the dealer might have been trying to cover up something. I've worked on vehicles for over 20 years and this doesn't make sense to me.
Dude that's a lot of oil. Hopefully, you didn't damage your engine. Your sensor won't kick in until at least 2 qts low.
Paint chips and knicks have little to do with paint color. That’s just part of wear and tear from rocks and pebbles beating up any vehicle you drive. Sorry to hear about your oil leak, that blows. That’s why I do as much servicing and maintenance as I can on my own. The 2 free oil changes from Toyota ain’t worth the aggravation. Cool color btw!
Thanks for this comment! Yea I think I am done getting my oil changed by them puts too much worry on me, I may start doing it!
The lesson with the oil change and all the mess? when one takes their car to a dealer or any other M- Shop for a oil change. one must check if the oil cap or oil filter was tighten the way it should be.
one cant trust them it seems.
not every person is careful .
C 19 Commander Agreed! Thanks for the words of wisdom! Will definitely do this next time!
@@OfficialAing You are welcome Brother. nice truck.well made video also.
my color of truck i am thinking of getting.
Probably didn’t tighten up the oil filter because I can’t imagine someone not torquing the drain bolt. Gotta do the services yourself bro. Primary checks and Services can be expected for anything. If it came from the dealer like this; I’d be pissed!
Your rear door sounds like it has a screw loose on the regulator.
exactly that. Toyota is taking a look at it here soon!
1:35 battle scars homie XD
You should learn how to do your own oil changes, I did, for the simple reason that others will not take as good care as you will and the job will be done right. I have had people tighten the oil drain nut so tight I needed a pry bar attached to my wrench to take it off and then other times not tightened enough or they leave a mess around the engine compartment that is oily so I learned to just do it myself.
Yea my dad said the same thing lol maybe that’ll be one of my next videos...learning to change my oil 😂
This might be serious and I have my beef with Toyota of how they design the front grille. Here is the problem: the front grille is there to let air get to your coolant system but the holes in the grille is so big that it’s letting good size pebbles hit the coolant grille in such a damaging velocity that your coolant grille itself won’t last long for the life of the Tacoma truck. Just take a look at the coolant grille and you will see the damage small rocks has been doing to the coolant air intake manifold. I predict a class action lawsuit on this subject real soon. I have complained about it over and over again. Nothing has been done to remedy the problem.
Hmmmm, I didnt even know about this! Thank you! I will look into this!
Dude, ceramic coat your car AFTER you get the paint protection film installed.
Nathan Frey will do thanks for the support 😎
What’s the MSRP on this exact one
I have the same problem with my front passenger door
It's more then a quart low for the light to come on. You're lucky you still have an engine.
You should get a supera!
Cool licence plate
Allen Baggett Good eye! Not too many people say anything about it hahaha
2020 with 10K. Wow. You purchased new ? I have a 2017 w/ 10K
charles Grieb today just got 13K yup bought it brand new! Holy moly! That’s good man I drive every day lol
My guess is the drain plug was loose.
gghostrrider yup that’s what they said, since then hasn’t leaked 👍
Probably the oil filter cartridge cap wasn't on right
Don't blame Toyota as a company for that. The employees at the dealership don't work for Toyota. They work for whoever owns the dealership.
No matter what I always choose black so that tiny chips and dings aren’t that big of a deal
When I bought my Tacoma the dealer has their own paint protection plan and I asked them does it include chips he said only if it’s not gone through the primer ?
sheddski well that wouldn’t help in my case hahaha but I guess it could help in some cases 🤷🏻♂️
If you want, you can Line-X the whole truck.
Seen videos on this, actually looks cool but since I dont plan on keeping it forever I wont be doing that lol but thats the best way to keep safe from everything lol

@@OfficialAing it's not something you can fix. It's just the way it was built.
The mechanic might have forgot to put O-ring in your oil filter
Joshep Hand hmmm 🤔 that is a very good point! I didn’t ask any more questions when I was there I was just glad it was over! Lol
It’s the oil filter not tightened properly. Easily forgotten!
Frederic Maccou Changing oil the new Toyota Tacoma getting more complicated, You have to remove the lower engine cover, remove and replace two o-rings, And the oring has to be in the right place, My sienna I have to jack the van up in order to for the drain plug
Aing you should also check your dip stick before you leave because one time I went to get my oil changed for my car and they didn’t put oil in and charged me I had gotten home and the engine already started to knock and once that happens it’s all over for that car unless you want to replace the engine
Aaron DiBenedetto whaaaat!? Yes I definitely will thanks for that info I had no idea 😐👍
My oil filter seems to always want to leak.
Any fix to it?
If you had your oil change done at the dealership, the name of the mechanic that did your service should be on your paperwork. I would write a complaint about him. In the future, you should change your own oil. Also, there might be hidden damage to your engine from the loss of oil. Of course the dealership is going to downplay the seriousness of the oil loss. They don't want to be liable for any damage to the engine. The dealership could have found damage to your engine but did not tell you about it because then they will have to repair it for free. And you know they are not going to do that. That is why they are called "Stealerships".
Stealerships! As I get older I am starting to see why they have such bad rep! Ive had nothing but poor experiences, def going to start doing it myself!
your lucky the light came on after a quart. mechanic didn't follow the torque specs
Right?! I feel like that couldve been a lot worse!

What other colors are painted twice? Maroon and black ? There's probably another one or two?
Only white as far as I know.

sucks your dealership messed up on the oil change thats definitely rare from Toyota
yota for life Yea I was upset but it happens Toyota is still the best 💪
My brother had his Camry oil change at the dealer, The mechanic changed the filter left the old seal stuck to the engine, He drove home his engine was total damaged, All oil leaked out, The dealer did compensated him
Yikes! That sucks! But good thing they helped out afterwords 👍
That's why i change my own oil asshole mechanics at the dealerships have bad habits.

Humberto Alanis Whaat! Well that’s good for you man lol I wish I could keep the mileage down but I literally take out just to drive some times 🤷🏻♂️😂 How’s your paint holding up?
@@OfficialAing its holding up good its in a space grey it does have a few chips but its from rocks that fly around in the highway
Yes normal use, space grey is such a nice color! Well good to hear you haven’t had much issues 👍
@@OfficialAing what you should do is clay it, compound it, polish it, then wax it. if you do a good job most of those scratches will be gone and your paint will look really new
I was going to that next weekend to see if it helped, have you done any protection for under the truck? It’s gonna be winter soon and hear I should get something just don’t know? Opinions?
Rattles are covered under warranty and Toyota oil filters are complicated as hell
That's what all Toyo techs say, one said there is so many little ways to mess up the simple oil change. Sucks that the consumer has to deal with it!
@@OfficialAing a simple distraction can make multiple parts complicated and fail or incorrectly reassembled.
Bro, you have a bad dealer. My dealer did something similar when I had my 4runner alignment done. They didn’t tighten a control arm bolt, which explained the rattling. I mean WTF!? I know this because I went to the next Toyota Dealer and they told me this. Btw, the owners of both dealers are the same. WTF again?!
YIKES! That SUCKS! Did they try to compensate in anyway? That really sucks!
You kept driving it after you saw an oil leak? That is not good, you’re lucky it didn’t lock up.
Bro, take your Tacoma in and get the door looked in, warranty the door rattle.
And, that oil! You’ve had multiple Tacoma’s and didn’t think it was weird you were leaking copious amounts of oil? More than a few drops the day of an oil change and I’m suspicious.
