Traded in my 2016 TRD OR for a 2021 TRD OR in the fall of 2020. The 2021 has been a much better GEN 3 for me. Drives and shifts much smoother. The driver seat adjustability and adaptive cruise control performance improvements alone were worth the upgrade. Great points in this vid. Used prices are high so a 1 owner with service records showing 5K/6 month oil changes and dated receipts for OEM and high quality tasteful upgrades that demonstrate pride of ownership are good insurance that the truck was taken care of.
All good points!! Back in 22 used Tacoma's were going for more than a new 22 but it was hard to find a new one with your options. Well I'm getting the OTT installed tomorrow!!
I remember.. was looking everywhere for the setup I got.. but couldn’t find it brand new.. at the end of the day I’m very happy with the truck and probably saved some money since it came with some extra TRD mods that I would have had to pay for to put on a brand new dclb off road.. Just bought a 2023 TRD Offroad with 16K on the odor. Completely clean. Had to be kept in a garage. So glad I got the last year of the soon to be sought after classic.
Everyone should post what they have when they got it and for how much! I Just got a used 2021 Tacoma sr5 2wd 60k miles for 31.8k out the door 3 days ago. Lmn if that’s a good deal or not!? Came with some nice tires already and a bed cover. I love it either way and can’t wait to take it on adventures in the future! I’ll probably keep it stock as much as possible tho.

At the end of the day as long as you are happy with your truck and you feel like you got a good/fair deal, that’s all that matters 👍🏼🤙🏼. When I bought mine I paid $42k.. what color did you get? Congrats on your new taco!!
You have been had by a crafty F&I Man. He is usually the best in the store at taking your money because he is not the "salesman" that you are watching like a hawk. You let your guard down because he is your "friend," and the real pro takes over. In this case it looks like he purchased the paper at a lower rate because you probably have good credit. Then he sold you the extended warranty and the payments were close in the end whereas if you did not want the warranty you could have had lower payments once he showed his cards. Now, if you wanted the warranty then he did a good job for you and you both came out OK. I usually pass on any extended warranty on Toyota vehicles new or used because, well you know, Toyota. Anyway, you have a real beauty there.
I wouldn’t buy a used one that’s been modified. only in stock form. Im not buying a 4th gen Tacoma anytime soon. Im sticking with my 2022 trd off-road access cab for a while!!
Hey boss quick question, I am running 265/75/16 m\t tired with a -12 off set on my wheels and I get a slight rub on my front mudflap. Will a 2 inch trd lift kit fix this? I love the look of my mudflaps.

First and only thing you need to know buying a Tacoma is WHERE WAS IT ASSEMBLED. Period. End of. If the truck was made that that fucking taco country forget about. They build/assemble shit. Quality means nothing. For that matter any vehicle made in Taco & bean country run away. Pure crap.
Yup I sold my 2015 rally 2 edition Chevy Silverado with 60,000kms on her 2 years ago and first thing the few places that buy used trucks asked was the vin number. I said what do it matter and buddy the guys said they will give me $24,000 if made in Mexico and $32,000 for an American made one. Lucky I had the number 1 on my vin and got the 32. I will never ever buy anything with Mexican vins ever as it’s a big time loss on resale value!!! The big manufacturers will not tell you this tho!!!
Also a good video for current gen 3 owners to be proactive and look after thier vehicle to retain better resale in the future.
