  • I bought this 1967 Camaro for a deal in hopes of getting it running and driving and back on the road. The previous owner said it did not run and said he tried a bunch of things to get it going again but had no luck. It needs a ton of rust repair and it needs everything mechanically but i love these cars and this one deserves a second chance at life. Will it run and drive? Watch as i do a revival on this rusty Chevy Camaro. If you like the video please consider subscribing to the channel and dropping a like below, it really does help the channel grow. Thank you for watching.

Hahahaha. Thanks for the compliment and for subscribing. I’m glad to hear you got a kick out of it. I have to say, after all the editing to get these videos down to a manageable length I usually end up cutting out a lot more of me making faces and laughing at myself for screwing something up. I could probably make an entirely new video on bloopers alone. Thanks again!

@@americannostalgiagarage I'm an old time back yard mechanic, I'm 68 now so I have had cars like this as daily drivers. I used to buy and sell cheap cars in the early 70's before I went Army. Now I'm retired and bought a 68 Chevy Impala that I am restoring back to health. This will bee my last car I buy, I will drive it until my life is over. It is what it is! I have owned a '67 SS350 convertible for 48 years and it is a rust free Va car because I meticulously maintained it! I was also in the USCG in the 70s and noticed the sticker on the front bumper, I mention this because I drove my Camaro 200 miles in 2.5 hrs and did not even carry a spare! I have over 200,000 miles on the original drive train, eceptions: rebuilt 350 in '78 and went through the muncie once! Also put a 4.11 posi out back! Car even has original ball joints(grease 'em)! Had to replace radiator last year with an aluminum one found on ebay for 120 bucks! Also own '87 Buick GN bought new in' '88! Have a '68 Mercury Cougar wife's brother bought new in '68! 428 Cobra Jet with ram air, C6, posi 3,51! I love these old classic cars!

That’s quite a cool collection. Also a testament to the old adage that if you take care of something it will take care of you. I’m on the opposite side of the spectrum with this one, it’s going to need everything. But I’ll have an adventure doing the work on it. This is my all-time favorite UA-cam video! Because this is the only '67 Camaro I've ever seen that is much like the one I owned in the early 1970's. It is the same green color. It has the same black interior and the same black-vinyl roof. Mine of course had no rust ☺. It also had a console, but with the 3-speed manual, and a straight-line 6-cylinder '230 Turbo-Thrift' engine. I bought it in Greenville NC in 1973 ('74?) from a Penthouse Playmate who was 'dating' the guitar player (Jack Wells) in the band (Onyx) that I was playing with at the time. It wasn't 'drive-able' when I bought it; it needed a tie-rod, a ball-joint and a battery; yep, that's it. I moved to Greenwood SC, near a lake. I bought a 16' Ski boat and installed a trailer hitch to the Camaro to pull the boat. I was surprised how easily the car pulled that boat. I later sold the car when I was getting ready to leave Greenwood. In hindsight, that was one of the major mistakes in my life.

Making UA-cam videos becomes really fun when people write comments like this where they can connect with your video in a special way, like this. Almost like being part of someone’s story.
