Hello, great find. Just letting you know that those wheels are called turbine.( Rare) They were an option on 78 and 79 Z28. I believe you might be able to have ordered those on other Camaro models Rally sport, Type Lt.
I built a 78 Z/28, pulled the 350 and auto, put in a 454, and super T-10 and a 70 12bolt axle. It was the best car I ever built, drove awesome. Gave it to my son, who sold it a few months after. I'm still trying to get over the trama and sadness 😭
Had a Beautiful mint '78 Z-28 back in 1986. Silver w/ black interior. Hitting a curb dead on with the brakes locked did her in. I couldn't believe the car was totaled with not even a scratch on her. good luck with this one!
LMAO on the mullet, kid lived next to my parents had one when i was in high school, he thought it was bad ass car, and it was... until i got my hands on a 73 Road Runner. Bought an old Gran Fury with a 440 under the hood, swapped out the 340 for the 440, his Z28 got a steady diet of dust that summer.
Good for you man, good find, I've had to replace so many rubber brakes lines on the front of them Chevys, the trucks too from setting, over time they collapse inside and lock the brakes up. Now all you need to go with the mullet, is a set of cragers..lol
Thank you sir and yeah I’m sure these lines are swollen shut. Brakes do feel like they are there just need some work lol some cragers would be mint. Might have to start the search lol

Sitting 36 years? That means that this car spent less than 10 years on the road. I bought my 1978 Camaro in 1987 when it was only 9 years old and you wouldn't believe the amount of rust it acquired in that short time. The 4 speed manual transmission cars are very hard to come across. One thing I have noticed about cars built in the 1970's is that the body and interior has no problem self destructing without any help.
Yeah 36 I talked to the original owners and it was parked because of the clutch. Seems fine now but I haven’t put a big load in it. O I can believe the rust the core supports are rust attractors. Thanks for watching bud
Man I am SO jealous. I have been wanting a really nice domestic car exactly like this to daily for a LONG time. You don't find cars like that around Pittsburgh for less than $5-$10,000. I would really love to have a nice 350 Camaro 4 speed manual in good (or at least decent) shape for a decent price. I would get everything that it needs to be running and stopping reliably, clean the entire interior and exterior, and I would seriously drive it daily. I did have a 1974 Z28 back in the day, but it was a full drag car. My brother owns it now in Florida and he has done a full restomod restoration on it.
Being a 4 spd camaro and the fact shes a runner would be enough for me to toss a couple 3 grand into her provided structure is solid enough to work with. Parts are easy to find and cheap . I used to love having cameros my 78 was one of my first cars in high school bought it for 500 bucks back in 87 or 88 and proceeded to burn through 3 more and boy other than being rattle traps they took good punishment and asked for more . Cool video my cuz had one LT1 vette 350 4spd , 373 posi. Same year , blue gray interior.
Man I bet that thing was sharp! Got to love a muscle car with a 4 speed! Probably my favorite thing about the car. I’m ready to get it out on the road. Thanks for watching bud!
Hello, great find. Just letting you know that those wheels are called turbine.( Rare) They were an option on 78 and 79 Z28. I believe you might be able to have ordered those on other Camaro models Rally sport, Type Lt.
Thank you sir, I figured they were somewhat rare as I couldn’t remember seeing them before. Thanks for watching!
I built a 78 Z/28, pulled the 350 and auto, put in a 454, and super T-10 and a 70 12bolt axle. It was the best car I ever built, drove awesome. Gave it to my son, who sold it a few months after. I'm still trying to get over the trama and sadness 😭
Man that was an awesome car! I would be so mad lol thanks for watching man!
Had a Beautiful mint '78 Z-28 back in 1986.
Silver w/ black interior.
Hitting a curb dead on with the brakes locked did her in.
I couldn't believe the car was totaled with not even a scratch on her.
good luck with this one!
Man that’s crazy, I hate to hear that, thank you and thanks for watching!
New subscriber here- you got me with you and your son sporting the mullet loud and proud! 😎
Heck yeah man, Pretty sure the Mullet will have to be in every video somehow lol Thanks for watching and the support Bud!
Had one of these as my first car years ago.. made me smile when it fired up.. Keep it Up..
That’s awesome, I bet it was awesome. Thanks for watching!
@@WrenchBender heck yeah that’s awesome man! I would love to get my hands on an old mopar. Thanks for watching man!
The wife’s evil laugh when you stalled it 🤣🤣🤣
I know right lol I was hoping someone was going to catch that.
Me and the wife picked up a 68 in the same condition. Were now driving it regularly . It I could I'd send a picture. The 78. 79 Camaro drive so much better .
That’s awesome man, and that’s my plan as soon as I get off work today im going to film a video of cleaning it up. Trying to get closer to roadworthy. Thanks for watching bud!
Nice save 👍
Thank you sir
I had a 1980. I drove that thing from 1997 to 2001. Even in the winter in New England. Miss that car.
Man that are some fine machines, I have a blue 80 that has a 400 in it. I will do a video on it eventually lol
That’s crazy man that’s my exact plan with this one. Make her a decent daily and just cruise. Thanks for watching man!
1974 I'm pretty sure that it was one of those years that no one wanted. And I won't be the only one that will say Z28 didn't happen in that year.
Think its time for another late 70s early 80s project and create a monster. Ive been inspired by this channel and enjoyed every minute of it .I subscribed and looking foward to see what you do??😂😂
Yeah man the money is already being spent on this ole girl, just haven’t had time to film a video because I’m working a shutdown. Man 500 for a clean running Camaro would be awesome in today money lol this is my 2nd Camaro of this year range, one day I will make a video on the other one it’s more of a passion project. Reading that I have inspired you and you enjoyed the video is awesome man. Best thing I’ve read today 110%! Thanks for watching and subscribing. More videos coming soon!

The pinned comment is my cousin, i always remember going to my grandparent's house and seeing it sit there and thinking how cool it would be to restore it and drive it around. Originally me and my dad were going to fix it up but we figured it would be too much of a project for us. I can't wait to see how it turns out!
Yeah there is a good work that needs to be done, but it will just take time. It’s a great car to fix up tho. Thanks for watching the video, and the Sub!
Love those old Z ! Hard to find in my area ! Good Luck ! 👍😁
They are definitely my favorite Car the 4 speed was the cheery on top! This year model is my favorite because well they are at this point still affordable lol I have some part on the way so keep on the look out for another video! Thanks for watching bud
I love seeing and hearing an old F body brought back to life but I’m most impressed with you moving that hood off the car with no mechanical or extra human help. That’s the all-American do-it-yourself by any means necessary spirit in action!
lol man that has to be the heaviest hood I’ve picked up in my life. Thanks for watching bud!
0:24 Thinking you might raise the hood before starting. Have a blanket ready. A little backfire can turn into a steady flame.
Thanks for the tip man, and thanks for watching

Oh wow reminds me of my Z28. My Dad got it fir me right before my Sr. Year in high school it had T tops was a darker blue with metal flake. Dang thing looked green under a street light. And later put crager ss wheels on. I also started dating a girl from a blind date with my friend. She also had a 79 Z28 but it didn't have t tops. The salesman and my dad grew up knowing each other. His brother was the state Trooper thst gave the driving test. I sure wish I still had it was around the time smokey and the bandit come out. So there was several trams am running around. I smoked all those and blew the big chicken on their hoods off. I did do a little to the engine. Man talk about great times with tgst car I also became a man in it if you catch my meaning lol I subed to your channel keep saving those older cars
Heck yeah man that’s awesome! I can only imagine how BA that was as a Senior crushing around in a Z28! Had to give the thunder chicken the smoke! Thanks for watching buddy and thanks for the support man! We really appreciate it!

I was 18 years old and I bought a 1979 Z28 the color was like a IROC blue I had so much fun
I bet you did man, that’s awesome
You just earned yourself a new subscriber! The 1979 camaro is one of my dream cars, my fathers going to hand his 1976 chevelle laguna s3 to me when he cant drive it anymore. Im 16 and i have 2 cars i wrench on alot. One is going to be my daily. They arent old, they are from the early 2000s. But the chevelle will be my project some day. I can tell you can make it as big as Vice grip garage, junkyard digs, pole barn garage, dylan mccool, and mortske repair. Cant wait to see the progress on this car. I was shocked to see you only had 600+ subscribers!
Heck yeah that awesome man thanks for the support! 76 laguna will be a awesome car man. 2 projects at 16 already thats what I'm talking about lol 2000s aren't too old but they are getting there. Once again Thanks for watching and the support bud!
@LyonRacing24 Thank you. I taught myself how to work on them just with youtube videos. I work out of a shed with all the tools I've purchased since i started working on them. There's no garage, sadly, and im up north, so sometimes i gotta work in the snow and cold but i feel like working on cars can be a good time to just get away and have time to yourself. I love that your wife and kids like hanging around, i always love having the opportunity to work on his chevelle. It's getting posi-traction this summer and a new cam. It was a late 90s restoration before my grandfather purchased it. Sadly, he passed in 2018 and left the car for my dad. I also saw that somebody mentioned that the rims are rare. They are correct. They are very rare. Also, if you come across one of these camaros with t-tops, that's a rare option also. Good luck with the camaro it seems rusty, but it's such a beautiful car. I can't wait to see the future videos on it.

That driveline needs to come out. That right spot in the engine is corrosion, most likely will start puking smoke. Maybe not but probably. Personally I'd disassemble the entire car a section at a time and just do a mechanical overhaul then drive the crap out of it. Have fun sir.
Yeah that’s the plan eventually, but not for some time unless problems arise. I’m trying to figure out what right spot ya talking about so I can keep an eye on it. Thanks for the comment and watching bud!
I had a 71;RS, with a 350, and an 1980 v6 3.8,,,, but I hate quadrojet carbs,, if you want that Chey to run right, try to find an old holly 650 spread bore,, hard to find these days but where built to bolt onto any small block and make It run better

Not sure where you buy your plugs for $80 but you need to change stores. Amazon sells them for $26 for 8.
