    Your honesty and humor are why I come back every time you upload a new video. I don’t even like 68-72 Nova’s! 🤣

      I’m already scared. So what’s the difference between 1100-2000 at this point right? Hahahaha. Foot print gas pedal is in the works just for you.

      I’ve never climbed on a gorillas back but I imagine it’s like riding a gorilla around the zoo after you jump on his back and scream in his ear.

    The rear noise could be a axle bearing. Nice car . One day ill leave nitrous and go turbo. Just dont like all the pipes and heat when using a turbo or twins. Especially to change spark plugs. Maybe a super charger, screw or procharger. Anyway good luck .

    • @americannostalgiagarage
      @americannostalgiagarage  5 місяців тому

      Very good ear buddy, I’ve actually looked at the car since filming the video and it is a axle bearing. Nitrous is awesome and simple but I’m bit by the boost bug. The pipes are cumbersome for sure but the pipes are full of fun lol. You won’t regret it. Thanks for watching!

    • @americannostalgiagarage
      @americannostalgiagarage  5 місяців тому

      I agree. Only reason I don’t think it’s gears is because the gears have been in the car for like 8 years and never made a single peep. I set them up.

    Can u drive long distance with a set up like that similar to a sick week cruise

    • @americannostalgiagarage
      @americannostalgiagarage  5 місяців тому

      Ideally that’s what I’m working towards with this car. Need to just get some local miles down on it and work all the kinks out. But yes that’s the plan. I’m also planning on getting the 66 nova I’ve been building on the channel down for hot rod drag week although that would be next year most likely. Thanks for watching!

      @americannostalgiagarage thanks brother for responding and the information I'm in the middle of building my 55 del ray looking towards turbo ls with short turbo exhaust up front just needed some information on long cruises to event to event would it effect anything

    • @americannostalgiagarage
      @americannostalgiagarage  5 місяців тому

      @@9thgatedim273 very cool project I hope you get it on the road soon. Having the turbo mounted up front is very cool and having the rad in the back, if planned out should work perfectly. Off the top of my head I would make 2 suggestions. One is put a large psi rad cap on the rad if you use your original and don’t Weld up the old one. I welded on a ton of fittings on mine but didn’t weld up the cap. The heavier psi cap will prevent the rad from shooting coolant all over the ground and near the tires in the event of an overheat. The other suggestion is put a good screen or filter on your turbo. The long drives in different climates lend themselves to the potential of sucking something into a $2700 turbo lol. Good luck.

    What's up with the 1/2 of a funny car cage?

    • @americannostalgiagarage
      @americannostalgiagarage  5 місяців тому +1

      Good question, I didn’t build the cage I bought the car with the cage already installed. I was thinking about welding in the remaining part but not sure I want to do it since this car is going to spend some time on the street and I don’t want to bounce my noggin off of it when I hit a speed bump. I don’t have a brain but I’m not immune to lumps on the head hahahahah. Thanks for watching

      @americannostalgiagarage if you're not going to be running on a track where it may be required, I don't think I would.

    Why is your brain bucket above the top of the roll cage?

    • @americannostalgiagarage
      @americannostalgiagarage  5 місяців тому

      I don’t know much about cage rules/requirements but I didn’t build this cage. I did install the seat though so I’m at least responsible for half the problem lol. Also my brain bucket is practically empty so I’m not risking much hahahaha. Thanks for watching.
