Dan, the King of floor pans he gave me the courage to tackle my floor pan last summer. Im not going to lie once you remove the old floor pan it's intimidating but once you're done it feels so gratifying.
Really interested in this build. Mainly bc I always wanted one. Let face it as soon as you get this back together and starting driving it that other Camaro is getting built too
Finally the Camaro comes into the shop. Yes I want to see this car worked on. The name Camaro means comrade or friend. It seems the automotive world has mislabeled camaro's, Firebirds, Cudas and challengers as muscle cars but in fact we're called pony cars. I'm looking forward to see you put your expertise to this build. Keep up the great work and the awesome content 👍✌️🇺🇲
I'm a devoted Ford fella from way back, but I must say... However, I really do enjoy your builds, and I'm learning right along with you. Yes, some of us within the Ford persuasion can enjoy your determination, ambition, and plans! I look forward to see what you do with this....keep up the good work!
Nice to see something a lil different Dan! A blown big block is envisioned by me with a mini tubbed 9 inch with huuuuge mickeys!!!!! Look forward to seeing what u do with it!!! Rock on Dan d man!!!🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
I’ve always liked 1st gen Camaros. My dream Camaro is a 68 rs/ss big block , black on black with black steel wheels with dog dish caps. I’m in for this build.
After a garage fire & lost my '75 vette - Took the 15" X 8" rallies & put them on my '69 maro project CA car with factory air & Correct tinted window glass #'s that I purchased after the fire. Wheel idea may be "spilled milk" now. My Body guy Who done my vette before the fire totaled it, Did TWO '63 black Split Window vettes for the local Chevy dealership owner in Lansing. He looked at the New Quarters Welded to the Maro & said that "they did it right by hanging them on the trunk surround to avoid warping & not trying to splice them in lower below the surround. YMMV Dan. One thing about those plastic cars they Burn Fast & You'll never forget the smell of burning Fiberglass while waiting for the fire dept. to arrive. lol Happy New Year to You & Dani I'll be following along as usual. Thanks for ALL you two do to get these vids out for us.
In high school a friend of mine "inherited" his dad's '67 6 cyl 3-on-the-tree Camaro.. Swapped in a 292 truck motor and a 4 spd. Good times and you can literally build them from the V.I.N. plate out.. Looking forward to this series, thanks Dan(& Dani). Blank canvas though, I think you should go nuts with this one! I hope it gets going before the weather shuts it down for winter!
I seem to remember a quote from back in the day , someone asked a gm executive what the Camaro name meant and the person replied something along the line of " a magical beast that lives to eat Mustangs " lol. Anyway looking forward to seeing this car come into being alive again! Keep up the good work Dan!
YES, DAN'S BUILDING HIS, "BETTER OFF DEAD" CAMARO, SO VERY VERY COOL 😎!!! Thanks Dan for giving this car a second life, the work is appreciated 👍. Thanks for the video 📸. ps/ love 💕 hearing Dani in the background talking about the next meal, so funny 🤣. Hearing corn 🌽, mashed potatoes, corn bread 🍞? Two thumbs 👍 up for the video!
If you end up replacing the whole quarter you should lead in the seam like they did from the factory. It's actually pretty easy, I thought it was fun and it would make great content for your channel. The kit to do it is pretty cheap from Eastwood too!
Dan very Smart buying the full quarter panels I think you should just get the Full floor also Don’t cheap out at this point Great way to service the transmission
Right on. Been waiting for this one. I do prefer the early 2nd gen ones over these but it's still a cool car. I know I've been bugging you, so thnk you sir. Lol Running driving solid '67 is all day 20K+, and you're right about the price of parts after you actually get the car. Pretty cheap man. I was pricing out a complete floor and interior for a '71 I was thinking of buying and was blown away how cheap it was. Keep it as a stick. Automatic hotrods get boring real fast. Lol Also, I know you know cars but get the frame extensions (they're cheap) or build your own and make it full frame or she will twist.
Dan, another nice car, you scored. I liked what you said about doing rust repair correctly. Best advice is build it as if you plan to keep it. Then if you do, you will know it is right and confident in its safety and handling. If you sell it you will make big money on it. They sell for big money around here. To get big money around here it is best to have nice survivor type patina or good metal work, good body work and good paint. Whatever you do with it after the build, I hope you build it real cool.
Dan, I like your idea of for a 4 speed in the driveline, a small block chevy okay, but a big block chevy so much better. Have you thought about fixing that 454 with bent rod. This car is the best candidate for a big block chevy. Back in the day, my buddy had a 68 with a 396 and it was a very fun car to drive!
That ones not rotted bad at all. I actually pulled my 67 RS convertible in half moving it out of a leaky shed it had been in for years..frame rails were basically non existent..Full quarters on yours was a good move and I'd considered going back with new frame rails if they're thin at all..and subframe connectors are a good idea if you're stuffing some horsepower in there, as I'm sure you already know.
those wheels and caps look sweet!!! I have baby moons on my 64 chevelle and been wanting something cooler. I am for sure doing this!!! I enjoy your videos and your chill attitude
One of my friends in high school had one about the same color, brings lot of memories of fun times. I can't wait to see what all you do with it. One car that might make me a little jealous. No but I hope you have a lot of fun with it. Thanks for the videos man 👍👍
Hey Dan I remember way back in time, on one of your studio A live streams, you mentioned that a Camaro was a car you wanted to work on; here we are. Nothing but the best and take care😊
The 67 suffers from real bad wheel hop. That's why they changed the shock mounts in 68. It helped but didn't stop it. Still needs better springs and slapper bars. I bet you can get a 4 link kit pretty cheap if you want to eliminate it completely. On another note first gen Camaro builds are pretty rare on UA-cam. At least among the people I watch. I'm looking forward to it and hope it helps grow your channel.
What surprises me is this is a 67 only 10 years apart from your 57 and the change in these cars and there conditions I’ll be interested to see mini tubs (4 link rear? 9”) new rear quarters Ls and new trans into it Your so lucky in the us to have these cars so available and there parts You have industry’s keeping automotive enthusiasts going Great video
I enjoyed your video and will need to watch other ones you have coming out. You give me inspiration to work on mine. I just recently got a 67 RS that had burned out. There is a lot of work to do and trying to realize the end result and to keep that in focus.
Hey Dan !!! You are just the Man to demonstrate a Sub-Frame connector installation. I predict you will fall in Love with this Car!!! Can`t wait for the blower motor Man. Keep the sparks flying and the wrenches ratcheting!
Going to enjoy this build your fabrication work is always great to watch, disc brakes would be a good thing. Primer black would be good till you have the car fully fitted out. 60's cars are cool too. Cheers Dan n Dani thank you for producing good content to watch.
It's a belly button, everyone has one, everything is available and everything is cheap. This should be your easiest built ever DD. Can't wait to see it with your special kind of style. All good times 👍
I did the Detroit speed mini tub kit on my 68 last year. Their kit provides frame close outs because you actually cut into the rear rails. I have 15” from wheel tub to the outside of the wheel lip. I moved the leaf springs inboard a bit too because in the stock location you won’t be able to use all of the space with the mini tubs.
Super excited to see how you tackle this Camaro. I rebuilt a 69 firebird when I was a wee lad lol .....many many years ago, this should bring back fond memories.
Well , I have seen you start with less . Ok , a lot less . Ok , a roof with a title . That was a miracle come back from see through everything build . Earned my respect . You had more rust & fiberglass , than steel , & like 1 window . You were So Madd ! This aught to be a cake walk ! Lol , "They're so small ." Light too , about half of the weight , & all of the horsepower . This will be a nice project car build , & it's a Chevy , your favorite ! Although I must say , you did quite well on that Bricklin SV-1 , with the 351 Ford engine . I'd love to know what that weighs . Rock On , Dan & Dani !
Very cool. I had a blue 67 RS Camaro (no the headlight motors didnt work lol) with 327 and 4 speed, and never should of sold it. Looking forward to this build...
This car has come a long way and it’s looking amazing can’t wait to see the final product and do that beast I had to live under that’s a good ways way but still the end goals make you happy
well , i'm excited see where this build goes now . i get the patina thing and think it will be fab on the 57 , but this one's gonna need paint [tires and wheels make it cool already] i've always been a sucker for a 327/4 spd . don't know what you're going to do with the diff and rear suspension , but those ghetto shackles have to go
With all the new panels Dan it should look legit either get the new bushing kit along with the disc brake spindles and it shouldn’t brake the bank. Be careful and stay safe my friends God love ya both brother.
Rally Sport wheels, RadialT/As, headers, dual ex, 4 on the floor, 327 solid lifters, rowdy cam, dark green with a black roof, black interior. Just a fun little daily driver!
This should be an outstanding build ,start from scratch with a totally rusted out Camaro and wind up with a patched up, rusted to death driver. Sounds like a plan. And it really doesn't matter as it will be another video for your collection. Have at it. Did I mention Happy New Year?
Looks like you are off to a great running start. I have total confidence in you and I know you have a plan and have thought this whole thing out sort of put it well be fine. I know I’m going to love watching your videos on this project can’t wait. I do remember the 66 Biscayne when you pulled the big block out and said you might rebuild it and put it in a Camaro remember that, could this be the one. Later
Dan, the King of floor pans he gave me the courage to tackle my floor pan last summer. Im not going to lie once you remove the old floor pan it's intimidating but once you're done it feels so gratifying.
Dan is the king of dissecting the overall project and envisioning what it will be as we sit impatiently.
I'm working the angle of getting the spare Camaro lol.
Really interested in this build. Mainly bc I always wanted one. Let face it as soon as you get this back together and starting driving it that other Camaro is getting built too
Nice! Looks very fixable! I can see a DD Speed Shop version of the "Crusher Camaro" in the future!
This cool Camaro car
Perfect example of removing the engine and a Trans flush ,at the same time. Your really slick.😊
Hurst shifter! Big white ball! Can't WAIT to see what this turns into!
I love those 1st gen Camaros. Can't wait to see what you do with them.😊
the 69 was waaaayyy better!
I liked when the bolt from the crossmember flew out from under the car when prompted by the persuasion device! Lol
Finally the Camaro comes into the shop. Yes I want to see this car worked on. The name Camaro means comrade or friend. i like cougars
The thing I hate about some Fords is that STUPID spring over upper control arms!
I hope he puts a 351W in the Camaro, you know, for speed and reliability.
there are blowers for the 351 and could be swapped into the bricklin , great choice roadrant
Why would he want slower and less reliable? That's ford guy logic for you😂@@rantsfromtheroad2055
Keep up the great content! Hopefully this build jumps you over the 200k mark.
Love that you properly designated the dang ol' Camaro as a _pony_ car!
Perfect drive and drag car. That's the way to go bro
Looks like a great start on the Camaro!
I can’t wait to see how this turns out pretty solid start for a rebuild.

Very well done pulling it all apart and getting a plan. It's going to be a great project ride.
Looking forward to this build, happy new year to you all
Oh man….this is going to be a good build. Happy New year Dan and Daniel🎉

I think you made a good choice. Looking forward to this resurrection. I need that shifter, Dan.
I think this will be one of your most viewed videos. Everyone seems to like a 60s Camaro. And why not!
If I remember right that was an RS/SS so it had hideaway headlights and most high dollar parts.
That was a great movie and that Camaro had the perfect look! Would like to see Dan take this one all the way to paint!!
@@kennethlaw9830 if it did not have the rs option I would add them away it makes the end look so much better.

I am excited to see this one. hopefully it will get done correctly.
I started watching your channel about three years ago cause you're fun to watch saving cars from the crushers
Finally Dan has brought us the Camaro ❤❤❤❤
Right on. Been waiting for this one. I do prefer the early 2nd gen ones over these but it's still a cool car.

Made my day seeing that in your shop, can't wait for the content
@UCZi9vHrxv2kGzIqaHFeUF7g u want to hear the story of my burnt 69, right, or maybe u got parts
that is a fine example of when cars were made for people instead of the government
Love the old school look have fun and enjoy 😅
I. Think. People. Amagin. A. Car. And. Molde. It. With. Bondo.
Dan, I like your idea of for a 4 speed in the driveline, a small block chevy okay, but a big block chevy so much better. Have you thought about fixing that 454 with bent rod. I like your plans for this hot rod, hope it will put cracks in the road when finished, put a double blower on it & let lope around town!👍
That ones not rotted bad at all. Totally agree
I like the way you resurrect cars that are just at the limit of reasonable repair. These cars would be lost us without your intervention.
Been patiently waiting for this one. Happy to see these videos coming! Keep up the strong work!
those wheels and caps look sweet!!! I have baby moons on my 64 chevelle and been wanting something cooler. I am for sure doing this!!! I enjoy your videos and your chill attitude

Hey Dan
I remember way back in time, on one of your studio A live streams, you mentioned that a Camaro was a car you wanted to work on; here we are. Nothing but the best and take care😊
Looking forward to this build. I used to have a 69 Camaro convertible, but the Ex got it.
Excited to see you build this. Looks like an 8.2 BOP rear. My firebird had the camaro 8.2 until I swapped it back.
Definitely the Dan we love and are used to ! Welcome Back !
That wheel lift wrecker is paying off bigtime. Great job backing up the Camaro into the garage.
westport here and watching.
i want to say is thank you for bring us along.
vary good start to the new year.
This is going to be good! Your garage floor looks like a crime scene though 😀
What surprises me is this is a 67 only 10 years apart from your 57 and the change in these cars and there conditions

Hey Dan !!! You are just the Man to demonstrate a Sub-Frame connector installation. I predict you will fall in Love with this Car!!! Can`t wait for the blower motor Man. Keep the sparks flying and the wrenches ratcheting!
Reminds me of when I was 15. Did almost exactly same thing except it's a blue 71. Love the Camaro stuff
Going to enjoy this build your fabrication work is always great to watch, disc brakes would be a good thing. Primer black would be good till you have the car fully fitted out. 60's cars are cool too. Cheers Dan n Dani thank you for producing good content to watch.
Right on Dan! Thanks for showing us how not to pull a motor and trans! Great price on the car. Can’t wait to watch this build progress. ✌️
The undercar shot of Dan beating the tranny mount with a hammer with bolts and pieces flying was priceless
Yes great footage. Good job Dani.
You are the hardest working man on UA-cam. Keep up the good work.
It's a belly button, everyone has one, everything is available and everything is cheap.

Heck yeah man my favourite car,I can’t afford one but I’m happy a fellow Canadian can have fun with a pair of them!

@@DDSpeedShop it fit really well, did you go with the Detroit speed kit, or a different brand?
I have to change out my sub frame this spring on my 67 Camaro. I hope the two of you had a great new year
Great foundation Dan ! Amazing it survived. It'll be a nice ride when your done with it 👍👍👍
You are gonna get a lot of people's attention with this one here bro.
Tear it up Dan. 1st Gen Camaro will make a Kool hot rod, thanks for sharing the victories and challenges
Great start to the new year Dan!!! Love your channel keep up the random stuff.😂❤
Every car you do is interesting and fun. But there's nothing better than a muscle car.
Super excited to see how you tackle this Camaro. I rebuilt a 69 firebird when I was a wee lad lol .....many many years ago, this should bring back fond memories.
Had 68 Camaro in high school….still got it……looking forward to see ya work on it…oh yeah so I’ve had it 44 yrs
You need to keep those Rally wheels on it. They’re the best looking wheel Chevy ever made.
And put 15x8 rallys the back
Great car !👍 can't wait to see u have a go at this one !
Beside the Tri-fives.....A true classic build there!!!! Cant wait to see this build..........
Well , I have seen you start with less . Ok , a lot less . Ok , a roof with a title . That was a miracle come back from see through everything build . Earned my respect . This car has come a long way and it’s looking amazing can’t wait to see the final product and do that beast I had to live under that’s a good ways way but still the end goals make you happy
Do a BBC tunnel Ram and lace the top. Maybe side pipes and velour interior. Keep kicking ass DD Speed shop.
Dan, if you want more tire clearance on the back, move the leaf springs inboard...
well , i'm excited see where this build goes now . i get the patina thing and think it will be fab on the 57 , but this one's gonna need paint [tires and wheels make it cool already] i've always been a sucker for a 327/4 spd . don't know what you're going to do with the diff and rear suspension , but those ghetto shackles have to go
My dream car right there i will be watching from start to finish. going to be an awesome build
Thanks buddy!
As always, you are my first choice and my favorite. Keep up the good work.
Excited for the new build! Can't wait for it to be DDSpeedshop'd!
Dan when you put the motor back in put it on the chassis rails and then walk to complete unit under the car. It is so much easer. Trust me.
Now that’s what I’m talking about good one for a change meaning is a good change
Oh boy nothing better than watching Dan pull an engine! Always fun and funny.😅
Going to be a cool build,Loki good forward to the end product.

Morsky was saying you're a hack but you did a pretty nice job on the 55 Nomad wagon and this 67 Camaros probably going to turn out pretty good
I would start with a squeegee and a snow shovel for the fluid cleanup , good video
Dude!!! I'm in!!! Bring it on!!! Show me the money!!! I hope your views!!! Are through the roof!!!!✌️
Very nice Dan,I am creature from The 60s 70S got a 75 t/a in the stall at the Moment! Keep going buddy
Dan a 275-60 -15 on a 8 inch 50-50 offset will fit good luck on the build.
That looks almost exactly like my brother's Camaro. Same paint and dog dish hubcaps. Sure do miss it.
Later
It would look good with cragers, Dan. I'm just saying. Love your builds. Keep up the good work.
Oh no, not the dog dishes again! You poor, poor Canadian boy! What did they do to you growing up? Cragars! Cragars! Cragars!
