This was my old stomping ground. I lived 2.5 miles south of the spillway and used to kayak to my house. There are some nice fish in that lake and I caught a few of them. I’m not going to post the locations on a public forum. It really is the best lake in central Ohio . I moved to Florida 7 years ago and still miss sitting out on that lake all night.
Since watching your ultralight videos I've decided to use 2lb test with my ultralight rod and reel before hand I was using 6, you're inspired me and another great video
hey justin, thank you again for taking us on another fishing trip with you! I'm not seeking any sympathy but i lost my dad back in 2016, he loved his cat fishing. there were countless nights that me and him spent at the kingston steam plant bank fishing or anchored in a boat. I really enjoy watching your catfishing trips and just listening to you talk. it has brought back lots of memories. thank you so much! also, i hope you have beaten the pesky utility board in your area!
I love watching you fish. Even cooler knowing you were 45 minutes north of me catching fish! Really like to join you on one of your trips back up here maybe go to ceasers creek !
Welcome back to Ohio brother... Hoover is a great place to fish... I ts definitely not for those who get frustrated easily... Hard to fish from the bank... many times of not catching anything... It's more quality over quantity for sure... Good Luck brother and maybe next time I will see you around
I absolutely love this lake. There are great bank spots but half require some walking. It’s a tough lake until you get it dialed in and then there really isn’t another I’d go to in the area. Delaware warms up first but when Hoover heats up I caught fish all year
Nice... I caught my first blue from here and been hooked ever since... myself, I usually get skunked but I never give up so we shall see... just alot of shoreline to figure out... I like fishing away from people so they don't cross me and whatnot
"I set the hook good on that rock, felt good on the pickup." I swear sometimes those rocks feel just like fish and the big fish feel like rocks til they start moving! If you make it down to Ne Georgia I know a great little 5 hp hydropower lake has some huge sunfish!
Wow, you mentioned Cowan Lake, my favorite lake to fish. I lived up there for 9 years, I now live in norther Kentucky, I still go up there when I can. Cowan is also a 10 hp lake, but watch out for the sailboats if they are out.
You might need to get a fold up wagon to haul your batteries and such when staying at a hotel. Gotta take it easy these days 👍 You could put your logos on the sides of it too. Just say'n
Let me tell you, I fished back there for cats weeks ago and had a hell of a time with all the brush and trees back there. Lost my dragging rigs to the bush. 31:23
Trip Recap: 170 Casts, 21 Fish (13 Bluegill, 8 Crappie), First Fish 4th Cast, 4 - 2 fish streaks. 1 Lost Jig on a snag, 3 gulp minnows used, 24 Ads viewed
That area you went into towards the beginning and couldn't find a bite until you came out........ I have spots like that at my 2 main close lakes, and one spot really in particular. It has sticks and parts of downed trees in this cove off the main part, grass on the shore, weeds growing up from the bottom, and overall I rarely get a bite. Caught a small bass there and a huge channel cat probably spawning both a few weeks apart, but in the year that I have tried it repeatedly while moving around, absolutely nothing else. I just sit there thinking, "How can there not be fish in this area."
Trolling with a 1/16 oz jig and a twister will help you find the fish. If whatever is biting on twisters is there then everything feeding on whatever will not be far
How are you turning your trolling motor on and adjusting speed and whatever else? I see yours and other boaters in person when I go out not even touch it and I can't figure it out. Ya'll have like a remote control or something?
i also wanted to ask you... if you were to change anything with your suspending catfish rigs, what would it be? my golly whopper rods should be delivered tomorrow and im going to give your suspending rigs a try as well!
this is unrelated to this video but we have started a new bank fishing catfishing tournament that is done by measurements and would help greatly to know what app it is that yall use for the fish submission and live updates?
Hey justin, I live about 15 min. From hoover and fish it a lot for the Buffalo carp go north of the boardwalk under the bridge towards the mouth of the creek in the mud flats, also if you need a cast net I've got a few I could donate one to you
Fishing Hoover, you have to beware on the twin bridges ramp. The ramp and dock are nice, but the dinosaur size buzzards will trash your car. They leave 10 pounds of crap and tear off the weather stripping from around your windshield.
Well we now know you was there at NOON on weds TORNADO siren every week and looks like you are in Lake of the Woods its a old lake when they made Hoover
Fortunately, I have a job I love. So when I'm working, it doesn't feel like work. Took many years and many career changes, But I found it. I'm on my way to be the first in my family to make over 100k a year! and it's only my second year! So to the people who feel stuck. In the end, we only regret the chances we didn't take! I'm coming to tennessee this friday, super excited!
Have you seen theses hook keepers that you get hooks out of a fish’s mouth I ordered four of them you never need a needle nosed pliers or he stitchers pliers we call roach clips you know what I mean
Justin I know you swear by that Gulp Minow but it ain’t getting the job done. I believe you should try something else or you will not have any bait for catfishing!
When we going to get the edited version? I would much rather watch the edited video. I don't have time or attention for 3 hours of fishing. So I don't watch these long versions.

I like that road trip idea! Great video as always👍
Back to back raw and uncut videos my day was full justin 6 hours was my limit so the short video worked out stay safe out there
Got my stuff a few days ago, thank you again so much! Means a lot. Can’t wait to see the Hoover tourney vid
Awesome! I’m glad the package made it to you.
Thank God you posted today!! I love the raw and uncut. Catch 1000 fish 🐠🐟
Good calm relaxing day of fishing, good times. Still loved the video

Hoover Crappie tip: trolling shad imitating crank baits is the ticket post spawn. Good for Whitebass too.

Thank you Charles! Much appreciated as always.
Also been watching since 2018! You have put me on a lot of fish over the last few years even in the hard to fish lakes in GA 🫡🫡🇺🇸🇺🇸
Ive been using plastic shad with not much luck but the gulp minnows are so much better i can catch fish and are fun thanks man
Good evening Justin it's real good to see ya I hope your having a tons of fun
Thanks Andy!
Another upload another good day, love your videos
In my opinion, which means nothing. You can never go wrong with corn when you are fishing for Carp and Buffalo. Keep up the good work. 👍
Just another Bill Dance moment, nothing to be embarrassed about😅😅😅😅 right😂😂😂
Another great video, thanks for sharing!!
Can't wait until you go live again miss thoses
Ehhh lets goo ive been waiting on these videos this my favorite lake. Was here yesterday
I love it when you keep fish for bait. It gets the snow flakes crying 😭😮😂
"I set the hook good on that rock, felt good on the pickup."
I swear sometimes those rocks feel just like fish and the big fish feel like rocks til they start moving! If you make it down to Ne Georgia I know a great little 5 hp hydropower lake has some huge sunfish!
great video. you might try rainbow trout 1in. gulp, works good for me. love ultralight fishing. stay safe.
Justin, Cesars Creek in Ohio has been stocking blue cats for a while now and should have shovels as well. 115 ft max depth there but no HP limit
Wow, you mentioned Cowan Lake, my favorite lake to fish. I lived up there for 9 years, I now live in norther Kentucky, I still go up there when I can. Cowan is also a 10 hp lake, but watch out for the sailboats if they are out.
Those sailboats are pretty ridiculous. I saw a few out doing their thing while I was up there.
Best bluegill fishing is up but the damn, an those big blues love bluegill
Another good bait is chicken livers but you have boil them until they stiffen up enough to stay on hook with out assistance.🎣
It's the baby cats getting there cat nip in😂😂😂
You should come down to north GA and fish Lake Lanier! Big flatheads down here and some blues
I bet that area would be a nightmare to try to drag through
Tornado sirens every Wednesday at noon here in Ohio 😂🙏🏼

i use my 4foot 6 ultra-light for cat fishing, 15-18 pounds on 4 pound mono, using a 3000 to 4000 size spanning reel
There was a huge carp die off a few years back on Hoover that reduced their population a lot.
Trolling with a 1/16 oz jig and a twister will help you find the fish. If whatever is biting on twisters is there then everything feeding on whatever will not be far
Finished one now author 😂😂
If you won the lottery you would get that orange yeti cooler. 😂
Haha!!! I actually just got that cooler. One of my channel members got it for me
@@KayakCatfish haha that’s awesome. They must have won.
Have you done any skipjack fishing lately on video? I enjoy watching everything you do but was just wondering. Eric Davis southeast Texas
Yeah I have a skipjack video coming out in a couple weeks
How are you turning your trolling motor on and adjusting speed and whatever else?
I see yours and other boaters in person when I go out not even touch it and I can't figure it out.
Ya'll have like a remote control or something?
Remote
@@KayakCatfish Sounds pretty sweet.
Old duthman baitshop does sale frozen shad and frozen skip jack but the skip jack is rather expensive
Is your hobie pro angler or old town autopilot better for stability. I'm looking at both and curious which would be better for me I'm 6'5 250lbs
The Old Town Autopilot is the most stable kayak I have ever been in.
@KayakCatfish Thank you Sir
Can you tell me the brand of base that you have holding that fishfinder please? Thank you.
Scotty
i also wanted to ask you... if you were to change anything with your suspending catfish rigs, what would it be? my golly whopper rods should be delivered tomorrow and im going to give your suspending rigs a try as well!
Thanks for buying the rods! I’m pretty content with my current suspend fishing rigs. There isn’t anything I would change at the present time.
@KayakCatfish that makes sense, i guess theres no need in trying to fix what isnt broken, right? Lol
this is unrelated to this video but we have started a new bank fishing catfishing tournament that is done by measurements and would help greatly to know what app it is that yall use for the fish submission and live updates?
We use the Fishing Chaos app
Have you tried the Bimini top for your Hobbie kayak?
I haven’t tried the Hobie version. I made a diy version for when it rains.
Hey justin, I live about 15 min. From hoover and fish it a lot for the Buffalo carp go north of the boardwalk under the bridge towards the mouth of the creek in the mud flats, also if you need a cast net I've got a few I could donate one to you
Thanks for the info!
The area is called lake of the woods. Across the lake from red bank. Not my favorite spot but ok. Bass fishermen love it. I do better elsewhere
The Ohio state Buffalo record came out of Hoover.
Fishing Hoover, you have to beware on the twin bridges ramp. The ramp and dock are nice, but the dinosaur size buzzards will trash your car. They leave 10 pounds of crap and tear off the weather stripping from around your windshield.
That’s good to know. Those buzzards are the worst. They tore up my car at a local dam a few years ago.
COME TRY KNOX LAKE FREDRICKTOWN OHIO
Tornado siren test
Every Wednesday at noon
Did you forget your flopper poppers to undo your snags
How many videos are you ahead?
7 currently
@@KayakCatfish I don't mean to be rude I was just curious. How long after the fact we are watching this.
2 weeks
Well we now know you was there at NOON on weds TORNADO siren every week and looks like you are in Lake of the Woods its a old lake when they made Hoover

Congrats on your success! Good luck on your trip to Tennessee
You’re killing me I can’t keep up
Crazy how the only difference between this and the other Raw and Uncuts is the length and it gets no views. I do not understand UA-cam?
Yeah it’s crazy how some videos perform well and others are a complete bust.
Yes you still had audio when the mic died
Hey why cant them cats at your house become 100 lb Channels is because they dont like your Kayak Channel haha
make your own pond
worms... simple live worms... that'll get you some bait.
Have you seen theses hook keepers that you get hooks out of a fish’s mouth I ordered four of them you never need a needle nosed pliers or he stitchers pliers we call roach clips you know what I mean
What only 2 hours today I feel cheated 😂😂 jk im dure youbhave your reasoning fkr the 2 hours
