    You can preview; if you tap PAD in Sample Edit it becomes the editor for your Drum Program(s).. you can even select slices and where they're positioned. A fast way to work - copy the sample across all the pads you want to use, that way they become interchangeable.

      Hi Nice Things yeah I m using pad in sample edit to preview the slices, I think it's the best for me to slice audio. I saw your video, I appreciate the work flow but it's not for me. it's nice to see that you found a way that works for you, I like watching your vids keep up bro.

      @@mpchead Keep in mind that you don't have to export. You only need somewhere for the samples to go e.g. blank Drum or Keygroup. I've discovered after the vid, you can assign or slice by pressing pads

    Thank you for this video. And all the Mpc ones as well. Awesome. I just got the force I gave the mpc live to my friend through this time we are having and I could not chop my samples and when I did could not put them where I wanted. I wish you would make a video on the different languages of these boxes because you understand them and I don't but I understand when you lay it out for me. Thanks so much. Be safe Godspeed

    Akai force-How to loop a pad within a drum track/note mode/pads/sample edit> shift>loop
    For live jam session. Only worked once. I created mute groups for the pick up, but it has only worked once.
    I have firmware 3.0.5

    Yeah even on the MPC I still chop this way. I used to even do it on Maschine. Its oldschool but it works.

      its my preferred way too tbh, simple and straightforward. The other ways just confuse and make things more complicated than it needs to be

    Do you notice zoom bugs when in the sample edit mode ?... I find, when knobs are set to “screen”, that the zoom macro disappears in and out and often doesn’t work even when present. 🤷‍♂️

      Yes I have that too but it's in track edit

    Can i use the copy technique on Live?
    Since i have a MPC Live,i use the manual méthode,but the problème IS the end of the pad 1,is always the start of the pad 2....
    With copy method,no problèm?

    • @mpchead
      @mpchead  4 роки тому +1

      That is why I use this method, yes you can do that on the live. But you might also want to try unlink slices just out of curiosity and see if it suits your workflow.

    • @vforvillain77
      @vforvillain77 4 роки тому

      yes i hate how start and end points are dependant on the other pads with the other methods, thats why the copy is better, each pad is independant and it doesnt have to ruin what happens on the other pads. way better

    Are you still as much of a fan of the Akai Force, after having it a couple years? I'm still learning the MPC but this this looks fun.

    • @mpchead

      O sold the Force a while back. I like it but a few things I didn't gel with. But it is really an amazing sampler.

    is it possible yet to load separate samples to all 64 pads? on an mpc, i gotta change banks, it would be awesome to have all 64pads in reach at once. all i keep seeing is just using the 16pads in the corner. would be better to use all

    Does the Akai force have a ground for directly connecting a turntable ?
    The Sample chop preview is kind of a let down too. Is that still an issue?
    Im considering one of these. I know the MPC LIve MK2 is coming but coming from Ableton and Push 2, the force seems way better to me, plus can chop way more samples.

    • @mpchead
      @mpchead  4 роки тому

      Still waiting for updates to see if they change the chopping features. No ground for turntables or phono input. Don't compare this sequencer with Push2, this is weaker.

  • @S1ph3r
    @S1ph3r 5 років тому +1

    That kind of sucks. I know the octatrack had a slice to region on something like that, that put the slices on the pads. Did anyone open a akai feature request for this and mpc live yet? I think that would make work flow 10x faster

    • @mpchead
      @mpchead  5 років тому

      What people do is to slice and export to a drum track and after you have the slices on the pads to clean the start and end points a little better. Don't like that workflow, prefer it this way

    That’s too much work. Easier to hit cue, lazy chop w/ the slice button on the screen, then convert to new kit / track. Then you can easily adjust chop points from edit > pad.

    • @mpchead
      @mpchead  5 років тому +1

      There are several reasons why I don't like that way of chopping, but it's cool that it fits your workflow.

    • @Blogspierre

      mpc head Is really love to know why you prefer your method, to be honest. I’m always on the lookout for new tactics.

    • @mpchead
      @mpchead  5 років тому +1

      I don't want to use the screen to preview the slice, I feel more comfortable taping on the pad to adjust my start and end points. working in lazy chop you have to cut sequentially, one cut after the other, I want to add a cut only in specific regions of the sample. Also if you do lazy chop and then go back to edit the start and end points again it pretty much defeats the purpose of lazy chop. On the Mpc the lazy chop is much better and I also chop that way on the Mpc but in the Force chopping is not so easy.

  • @dolo747
    @dolo747 4 роки тому

    akai is really annoying me.. they are limiting the force so it doesn't step on the mpc's toes. you shouldn't have to do all of that to chop to the pads. the force would be a beast if they just allowed to chop to all of the pads that are available. also instead of 16 levels how about 64 or 32 levels? stop playing games akai. the force is a flop as is... so just open it up. already.

    • @mpchead
      @mpchead  4 роки тому +1

      I feel the exact same way, this could end the mpc in a flash but they are holding back. maybe after they sell all the mpc mk2 they'll update the force properly.
