I just bought an Akai Force. It seemed unfinished at launch, but after years of updates it seems pretty robust now. Am planning to make it the core of my studio, with everything else just acting as sound sources... but it'll take a while to find out how well that works in practice. Will probably be treating it sort of like an 8-track looper with an unlimited number of clips per track, to be mixed and matched live into an arrangement. Plus, of course, drums and rhythmic sample chops. Am getting a mic to go with it too, so I can voice-sketch ideas into audio clips, arrange those into sort of a song, then replace them with actual instruments. That way I can hopefully get ideas out of my head quickly before I forget, and then do the actual production afterward.
Great video and beat. I've ordered my Force, looking forward to it arriving tomorrow. Have watched a few of your videos and they are excellent, have subscribed. Thanks man!
D-One You can perform the arrangement and record the stereo output. There will be an update eventually that adds Ableton project exports and you can arrange it in Ableton.
Akai force-How to loop a pad within a drum track/note mode/pads/sample edit> shift>loop For live jam session. Only worked once. I created mute groups for the pick up, but it has only worked once. I have firmware 3.0.5
Great video! I think you can set up the Force to play more like an acoustic/electric guitar if you set the root key to "E". That's how I play the keys on the Push 2.
Damn...the op-1 part would fitted so nicely. To bad you don't got it working. Nice beat anyways. The force looks awesome by the way. Really a massive piece of gear. I wonder if the do a discount, when the new star wars movie is coming out? 😉
I've had the Akai MPC Live since October and I still struggle with the workflow. It's not very intuitive but I'm assuming it comes from legacy MPCs. Definitely doesn't work like any other DAW or device I've used. Great jam by the way!
Make Something That is the case for some users... it all depends what you’re used to work on I guess. To me, the more machines I use, the easier it is to understand all of them. Coming from a linear workflow though.... I can see the struggle. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for this video, I just followed you on Instagram. I still think the interface on Force and MPC Live is unnecessarily complex and just waiting for whoever makes a sampler like that that includes 16 pads and an integrated keyboard like the Keystep, some sampled sounds and an onboard synth, and a much simpler interface even at the price of reduced functionality which shouldn't be that much of a big deal to come up with. Nice beat and scratching as usual, whatever the tools you use. Let us know for sure when your album is done.
I've been watching your videos , nice work . I saw your conparison live vs. Force . It seems like Live falls short of the force , they are both difficult to learn , I keep changing my mind , I think Force is the way of the future . Thx for another great vid.
I hope by the time I'm in the place to afford more than a DAW setup the Force has reach all necessary updates... I'm thinking my setup to be the Force alongside the MPV LIVE 2, a few little sound modules including the OP-1 and a couple analog mini synths and then all that hooked up to a studiolive and then Ableton... then a UAD X4 for vocal recording and mixing in LUNA... this is how I'm piecing my setup altogether if possible... otherwise, it's a simple DAW setup. I'm a hardware head but have learned that a DAW is really the only way to have limitless options in production... hardware, and its single operation does give a more immersive experience... and the workaround can lead to new things... but DAW setup is first... plus for sounds, plugins give so much more for less... for me the East-West subscription appeals to me, not keen on a subscription but can that one paying off. Then mixing I'll see... a few subscription plans to see which set of plugins works for me for mixing, but then a lot of money will be in ones I know work and owning them first... then I can see if any of these subscriptions will give me some extra things I would otherwise be lacking
Apotheoz the production workflow and the basic functionality is pretty similar even though the Force is a bit faster to work on because of the dedicated buttons to switch modes and the knobs. The Force is much better for arranging and live tweaking. I’m still new to it so it’s too soon to say anything really.
@@AccurateBeats Thanks for the reply. Once you're going to know better the Force workflow, could you please make a quick comparison between Force and Live?
Please, Accurate, tell me if this unit is better than the Akai One for a set of one hour, improvising playing another synth and the bass... I was looking at Roland dj 808 but I wanted something different from a dj style unit. Please tell me your opinion. Thank you. ps: any big updates in sight on Force, as well?
Unrelated to the Force but I love your hi hat work man! Do you know if the Force could maybe be used to sample stems from older MPC projects such as those of the MPC 500 and used to finish off songs and arrangements, maybe add some further effects?
Hehehe....the struggle.. :P I'd be pissed.. And excited.. off course. That's why I haven't bought it yet.. I don't know if it will enhance my workflow. I really wanted to go DAWless when capturing ideas. I'll wait for you to master the external instrument & WAV stuff..cos that's what I am interested in _ recording songs from external instruments and MIDI controllers. If u can...try and use your Roli, next time. And.....as always... you're rockin an awesome groove on that scratch. ;) Thanks for this! PS: I haven't got an Instagram account..or else I would help u out ;) Cheers from Portugal
V4D2 thank you! Well... I need to spend more time and really learn how to use those functions. They are really important to me too :) Thanks for watching!
Awesome! Accurate gets hands on Force, woohoo! :) It's cool to see how you handle, approach yet, Force, meaning knowing your style and pro skill level seeing what comes easy, what struggle, just like everybody else :). For my 2 months I only grasped to the .... newbie features like playing Scale mode. You play here in chromatic, I would go to scale right away, having notes across raws. Helps (again as i am not that flexible with theory), but also having more playable notes across let me come up with (fast) tunes and patterns I would not be playing on any other keys or (less) pads controller. I know you "hate guitars", but besides scale, Force has piano, bass and guitar layouts, handy to find matching notes on the guitar neck. I don't know why i talk about this particular side of Force. Lotsa to learn and lotsa for AKAI to deliver yet. Hold on to find there is no song mode, no export other than recording out of audio output (shame for $1,5K device) and variety of sampling/recording weirdness, like the one got you here. Please keep on posting/getting thru Force on anything it inspires you, your voice is valuable that AKAI can hear. We do want it developed and people not turned away with first imperfection. Tons of beaut solutions in Force you'll find out soon. BTW it takes midi keys, like your Arturia Keystep with just USB wire (so you get you fav Maschine + small keys setup, but no computer, this is how i use it now). Super cool beat as always, Accurate! Subbed in Instagram too. Veggies rules (fell off the wagon after 20 years vegetarian+fish, some poultry now, but anything that helps your friend to live better life, spending energy on something more useful than digesting heavy foods hehe)
One thing for me that is a turn off is the lack of being able to use it to create a set list of songs to play live. I mainly want to load tracks and trigger them on and off during the performance and be able to switch songs.
Accurate, do you like your MPC Live more with the new updates - synths, effects, etc? I know you liked Maschine MK3 a lot, though comparing to NI, Akai seems to be badass as for updates. So, did it impact your preference of Maschine MK3 over MPC Live?
bro do u prefer the force over the mpc one ?! does the force have mute groups to cut off each sample when being played ?! also how are the preset instruments compared to the ONE ?!
Vackert! Maschine MK3 eller Akai force i längden? Jag har en mk3 och känner igen när workflowet (aka min kunskap) fallerar. Är ju lite sugen på akai Force just eftersom den är standalone🤔
I ordered it but not sure on what cords or plugs I need for it is it standalone? Also, does it come with AkaiMpc Software? Thanks just followed you on Instagram btw.
Hey man, love what your doing! I have had the force for about a month now. Really like it’s flow for live performance. I have been plugging a mic into it and singing through the force, I’m the shittest singer so I tend to rhyme and just funk it up. My question is, what would be your favorite chain of effects to put on a live vocal channel strip and (I know everyone will hate me for asking lol) is there a way to get live auto tune?
I have a question. You checked the scale you're in. Are you set up this before setting samples or MPC is just calculating scale based on a played notes?
Workflow looks promising on this. Question tho...on the final with the scratching there is some noticable hi freq buzzing and noise. Is this coming from the Akai? Weird.
Tempo Element oh... I double checked it and that is just a noisy signal going in to my mixer and through the Force. Not caused by it. Thanks for watching dude!

I absolutely LOVE your scratching from 09:10. Made me very happy!!!
I love the way you’re opened about the fact that the process isn’t always flawless! One love bro, definitely followed you on IG
like any hardware, once you learn how to use it, your production workflow will get super fast allowing you to focus on creativity.
That’s dope. Just copped one. I’m excited n thanks for educating us. Love it.
Ok, I need to jump into using this. It’s collecting dust already...just can’t get into it, appreciate your videos to inspire me!!
Great video and beat. I've ordered my Force, looking forward to it arriving tomorrow. Have watched a few of your videos and they are excellent, have subscribed. Thanks man!
The Truth thanks!
Awesome job....on that akai force!!!
I would love to see how that thing handles sequencing / full arrangement.
D-One You can perform the arrangement and record the stereo output. There will be an update eventually that adds Ableton project exports and you can arrange it in Ableton.

Ave Mcree that sounds smart! I’ll give that a try bro!
Great job dude. Honest, straightforward and to the point. Good intro.
The Akai Force is pretty cool! Loved the vid man
Luke&Line thanks!
Damn...the op-1 part would fitted so nicely. To bad you don't got it working. Nice beat anyways. The force looks awesome by the way. Really a massive piece of gear. I wonder if the do a discount, when the new star wars movie is coming out? 😉
Instagram sux, but you are awesome! Good honest experience video! Then you can make an "after a year of using it" review too.
Pads in keyboard mode are great to work with, it was one of my main reasons of picking up a Force to compliment an MPC Live.
It's definitely complimentary to the MPC Live. I use both and even the FORCE as a MIDI controller into my DAW ✌️
Great video as always man!
I love it! They really crammed a lot of function into it. The Splice integration browser in real time, is pretty exciting.
beautiful, thank you for sharing man.
New to the scene, but I’m really wanting to dive into the Akai world myself... thx for taking your time and sharing; really dig your vids ~
I was super excited the time I read the notification of a new sample beat. You're amazing dude, Hope you reach your followers goal!
🔥 🔥
Ricardo Daniel Anaya thanks man. I appreciate it a lot!
Dope bro!
100th like haha Followed you on IG. Cool to see this beat machine in action. Keep up the good work!
Fun finish:)
Awesomwe! Thanks!

I agree but Tubedigga’s videos on UA-cam help
You make it look easy using the force. I haven't even seen someone navigate that smooth on the mpc live
This was dope
As someone who rocks a DAWless setup, this has REALLY peaked my interest.
Great video! Are you going to do a refreshed review on the forces new update 3.0.5 NEW features?
That OP1 part was dope AF
Aight! Thx bro.
Falk Romano thank YOU!
Nice video. Good tune. Top tips. Great channel.
Nice video, nice beat my friend 👊🏻
I needed just one of the gears on your hands to make and album in the day include verses cover arts mixing and mastering but I born in middle esat
Great vid, Can you export a finished production song as mp3 or wav file
Thanks for this video, I just followed you on Instagram. I was already following you on instagram man! 😂✌️ My truly go-to senpai when it comes to beatmaking🙏🙏🙏
I like the ableton push 2 instead but man you're KILLING IT! love the video
I've been watching your videos , nice work . I saw your conparison live vs. Force . It seems like Live falls short of the force , they are both difficult to learn , I keep changing my mind , I think Force is the way of the future . Thx for another great vid.
You are very good professionnel i like you brain !!!
I so liked the way u ended the video. It's like a real movie.
damn man you always on fire.
What do you think about the Akai Force now after the 3.0.5 update?
Damn fine!
What happened to the nice big pads. Why so many little ones.
I hope by the time I'm in the place to afford more than a DAW setup the Force has reach all necessary updates... pls make more beat making videos she are so inspiring to myself
Would you buy the Akai force, live 2, or One?
Another great video! Really wanted to love the Force, just don't want to upset the X....
Is the Force better than the Live when it comes to sample based beats? It doesn't really seem to...

The 1500$ Force Is a Mega update over my Live The Force I picked up over the X.
👍 this Akai Force is quite nice especially since it’s a stand alone unit. Pretty cool 😎
Nice accurate! Ha de göttans :)
Dope ish
Please, Accurate, tell me if this unit is better than the Akai One for a set of one hour, improvising playing another synth and the bass... I was looking at Roland dj 808 but I wanted something different from a dj style unit. Please tell me your opinion. Thank you.
ps: any big updates in sight on Force, as well?
someone knows how can I pitch spread an sample across 16differents pads ?
Shift plus edit then the sample. It puts it on 64 pads.
Accurate hey. Question. Is the Akai F comfortable to use in long sessions. Can u see the screen clearly without affecting your sitting posture?
Akai force or mpc live ??
Meaty beats!
Dope.
I have the mpc x i was wondering can you link the mpc with the force and make them both work together?
I just realized I haven't followed you on ig. lol my bad fam dropped a follow for sure tho!
Unrelated to the Force but I love your hi hat work man!

Hey Accurate! If you could choose one - Akai Force or MPC Live, which one would you go with?
same question here ;D
did you win the bet??
Hi accurate i wonder just with using audio no effects and synths how big can a poroject get with akai force i wonder?
Can you make a beat just using a DDJ?
Followed! Keep it up
I want you to do like a 1min intro with the same 7 frames looped over and over again just to troll people
From discord, and love the content.

how do you export your beats from the force to your computer?
Är den värd pengarna? Eller är en MPC Live2 bättre?
Hello, do you prefer the Akai Force or the Akai MPC (liver / One)? Thank you
Does this thing come/integrate with the mpc software? Or just ableton
choke groups mute groups?
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
One thing for me that is a turn off is the lack of being able to use it to create a set list of songs to play live. I mainly want to load tracks and trigger them on and off during the performance and be able to switch songs.
Isn't possible with this ? Do you know any good ones that hace this feature ? Thanks
Unfortunately I'm not on Instagram....😂 but hope you do it!!😎
where as you have a loud voice in this world of hardware, have you brought up a linear song mode for akai force?
Accurate, do you like your MPC Live more with the new updates - synths, effects, etc? I know you liked Maschine MK3 a lot, though comparing to NI, Akai seems to be badass as for updates. So, did it impact your preference of Maschine MK3 over MPC Live?
Very interesting..
cool video, tnx! I notice a high-pitched noise/sound/whine in the recording, does that come from the Force or from a connected device?
Oh dam u got the akai force! I want one but push 2 is working out really good for me. Does it have pad play slicing when chopping samples?
bro do u prefer the force over the mpc one ?! does the force have mute groups to cut off each sample when being played ?! also how are the preset instruments compared to the ONE ?!

I like your videos becouse music making here is more than fu*kin speaking!
Hey man, I beleive in what you do! I'm going to share you out so that dude has to be vegan for one week!
Old Disciple thank you! He’s already shaking of fear to have to be vegan for a while! Sooo funny!
lol!@@AccurateBeats
I have a question. You checked the scale you're in. Are you set up this before setting samples or MPC is just calculating scale based on a played notes?
The scale is set automatically to the scale you've set it up to be. It doesn't adapt to the music, its just a setting D:
So not for a beginner then???
Dope visual and track but I’ll take my Mpc X fam, keep bangn 💯💯💯
Workflow looks promising on this. Question tho...on the final with the scratching there is some noticable hi freq buzzing and noise. Is this coming from the Akai? Weird.

5:15 Watching this rn on my mobile phone, had to laugh bc i really heard nothing of this bass.
Fucking finally
