As a big fan of the Bitbox, I would love a "Pro" version of this device, featuring additional buttons and improved key switches for a better tactile experience. Including an LED screen and battery-powered functionality would enhance its portability and usability. While the current micro format is excellent for portability, a larger version with more hands-on controls would be highly appreciated by users who prefer not to rely heavily on the touchscreen.
Why don’t you try a midi controller!! Electra one, Faderfox? That would make it pro for you, which is the overall intention of his platform. Aka…I don’t think that is his scope, but a midi controller might take you where you want✨
a pro version would've started with a better internals first of all. the noise floor of the current BB is unacceptable by even semi-pro standards, and should not be tolerated (at 3:17, look at the right BB's screen: -49dB while idling! and he's lucky to not have L/R mismatch, like most do - see Ricky Tinez' video to witness a 7dB disbalance, same with my own BB which idles at -45dB power source regardless) a 2020s digital device with worse noise floor than the 1980s analog desks! a headroom so thin that it require a perfect gainstaging (or overcompressed constant loundness) to mask this is the result of the Eurorack-oriented design, weak power circuitry and so on. I would buy a pro version with at least an Octatrack level sq at x2 the price
I also use a Blackbox as a 16 slot looper for live transitions but everything else about my setup is different. I used to use a Pigtronix Infinity Looper pedal which had rock solid midi timing but didn't sound as good as Blackbox.
Stimming is a LEGEND. I use BB as my centrepiece love it to death but a CHORD MODE to play triads in key from the touch screen and a feature that could TRANSPOSE the sequence in different key / scale if wished so by the user would make thing live more easy and avoid external midi controllers. Please Aron consider to gift us those 2 features it will make life more easy when performing life
I’ve heard a lot of comments around the noise from 1010 products due to usb. Due to you using 3 1010 boxes.. how do you power it all without noise? Thanks and love your work!
Interesting workflow. I was just thinking about something like this the other day. But it involved someone using all of the nanoboxes at once. So, not exactly like this, but I was surprised I couldn't really find anything.
I want a big version. Let's combine the functionalities of the black and the blue box. The Superbox, or something like that. 6 inputs and being able to record long parts, but also being able to loop and trigger and sequence the audio. So a mixer and a sampler.
@@fluim0102 Have not not seen the MPC live or even the newly released Ableton Move. The speakers are major selling points since the unit is small and portable. Think about it - you could just take your BB anywhere without anything else. You don't have to use them if you dont want to
of course thats the "obvious" solution and absolutely possible. but my approach is to work the loop further into to something really spontaneus. granular, oneshot, pitch, all those things are only possible with a live-print. also - if you dj with two BB you still would need a midi lead clock.
gotta be honest. this doesnt seem like its working really well. dont get me wrong i love my black box but im struggling to see how this works for a very quick improvisational application
We were fortunate to sit in the booth during a recent Stimming performance. The video strips it down to two blackboxes, but he uses more gear live, and it is a very smooth workflow.
@@qwer4621you can head over to his master class and invest in seeing how he uses this full set up… he makes a living off of this.. I’m grateful that stimming gave his time for free here.. the potential is there. Take what’s good and run with it. Hope you find the masterclass useful. I sure did.
@@JH-bf6qy ok there is a Video in my Channel where i exactly doing the recording .. Looping.. mixng Thing with the KORG KaossDJ. Not the other additional stuff Stimmung ist doing Here. But recording Looping mixing ia absolutely possible.
@@Volcaniced I used to have a Kaoss Pad to loop my electribe live, so I would be able to transition from pattern to patter more smoothly - it did work, but it went out of sync after a minute or so, but for quick transitions it definitely worked!
Again and again, it is always a pleasure to go on a journey with stimming
I see Stimming, I click

What stands out is the nice quality audio output of Blackbox.
Quickly became my favorite piece of gear after deliberating between it and the Digitakt for months
Such a great guru. I could listen to him for hours. Musically or otherwise. 🙏🏾
he's a shill who created the 'instant mastering' device with a audiophile engineer only to push it as a pro audio gear
Great video. Some really cool ideas to try out. Thanks Stimming, Thanks 1010.

It's not the best Stimming video I saw but it's good for 1010music to have him on board.
This is nice
Like the transitioning technique. I'm trying something similar using push 3
and the looper.
So i need two? Jeez this just went up a notch.

"I'm not sure if that's gonna work" - exactly why one should try it!

I don’t know why i never thought to “paint” across the screen to mute tracks. I’ve just been pressing them on and off 😂
Excuse me, but I did not get the "tightness" part of it. It sounded like most of the time the two boxes weren`t synced at all.
Count in should trigger sync start at 0 not from the -4 count in. What were they thinking? Nothing can sync correctly
❤🔥🌶 Really a great video!

At last the BB in the right is used as a looper .
Great !
Blackbox desperately needs to be updated. Battery, USB audio and built in speaker
Built in speaker really? why would someone ever use that

Why not just copy the track stems to the other blackbox and just mix between the two? Like djaying with stems? Rather then loop?
