I gotta say that I believe the Mustang had waaay more potential if it had an automatic transmission. The manual shifting of the Mustang could have been better orchestrated by the driver. 😮😬
Camaro beat the others in straight line, and also has the best handling of them. I wounder why GM was so dumb to let go of the 6th gen Alpha IEC Camaro and didn't keep improving its design.😢
Camaro is 8 year old platform still kicking ass against the new mustang. Im all American mussel but that supra is so impressive. With a good tune turn the boost up has to a very fast car. Same goes for the Nissan for around $500 easy HP.
The Mustang was second best, really? It was beaten by both the Camaro and the Supra in the drag and roll race! It sounded like the Camaro was using no-lift shift as the Mustang lost significant ground with every shift. Can't help but thinking a little more wheel spin in the drag races would have helped too. Other than that, everything was perfect.
The Getrash MT82 trans is rubbish in the mustang. Everybody should know this by now. It badly needs the Tremec found in the GT350, Mach 1 and Dark Horse.
Great lineup. I was literally just looking into buying three out of the four (Supra, Z, or Camaro SS). I ended up getting a '22 Supra 3.0 and love it to death. Never been a fan of Mustangs for some reason (unless it's a '67 GT500😁). edit: I'm really confused by his conclusion though. The Supra beat the Mustang both times, but he says the Mustang is better? Huh?🤔
I knew the '24 Camaros were underrated. It's no way they were gonna send that car off with the same "455 HP". I do believe the Mustang would have been faster with better shifts.
All ss/lt1 since 2016 till now have dyno'd around 400-430whp range(auto on the lower end, manual a little higher)which puts it slightly under rated and puts the crank number to 475-495 crank hp
Also camaros(im sure most other performance cars) are octane sensitive, so even using 91 octane you will not get the full potential(max ignition advance). If available, ive had great luck with sunoco 94 octane.
Supra won all races, and it was thrown out? Supra put more distance on the Mustang than the Camaro did. All you guys need more time behind the wheel for drag racing. I feel like every video has bad driving of some sort. 😅
Correct, it does have a weight problem with the heavy S650 chassis.. but the engine is the best of the bunch by a mile. NA rev's of a coyote are special. Chevy Camaro: 455 BHP / 3760 lbs = 0.121 BHP/lb Toyota Supra: 382 BHP / 3343 lbs = 0.114 BHP/lb Nissan Z: 400 BHP / 3519 lbs = 0.114 BHP/lb Ford Mustang GT: 455 BHP / 3827 lbs = 0.119 BHP/lb
i dont know how the shifter feel is on the dark horse, but if your a somewhat of a good driver in the 1le, the shifter is really nice and can be very fast in it.
Hard to reach any conclusions from this video to be fair. Bogged launches every time and slow 1-2 shifts. The Camaro, Mustang and Supra manuals all run around ~12.5 in the 1/4 while the Z is around 13.0. I suspect most of the times in this video are low to mid 13.
Manuals are not faster anymore. Get the autos. Manuals were better when the autos were only 3 or 4 speeds and even up to 6 speed autos they could be faster. But now it’s no contest with the 7+ speed gearbox, dual clutches etc.
@@Jmarzx talk about yapping lol you are the one responding. No asked you too🤣 you must not be around the car scene, “aww it’s not a manual” is something you always hear especially driving a v8.

The 10 speed Mustang is a whole different other animal!!! Can't wait to see that drag race!!
@@voodoodiecast That's true but the issue is the no-lift shift that cuts shift times, fortunately the Tremec also has this feature.
Did the Supra and Camaro even run?
@mattrecker152 You didn't read the title, all races were vs. the Mustang.
@@toddstevens8506 i read good 😆
That Mustang driver could not shift to save his life😂
Great lineup.
Supra fans represent! 🤘
Enjoyed the video, Sam. Look forward to more! The Camaro was definitely my favorite out of the four. Loved the color of the Mustang though.
Glad you enjoyed it!
All about torque
Very interesting match between the "save the manuals"👍
It was surprising to see that they perform very similar, it would be a driver's race.
Always fun seeing a handful of cars(some with much less hp) walk on a mustang
Thank you for inviting me and my @bubbletea_supra to this amazing race! Very tight race had lots of fun!
Thank you for coming
Grandpa out here shifting like he’s on a Sunday cruise 😂
Whoever is driving the Camaro, he's amazing at shifting
No lift shift 🙏🏼😍
Supra won all races, and it was thrown out? Supra put more distance on the Mustang than the Camaro did. All you guys need more time behind the wheel for drag racing. I feel like every video has bad driving of some sort. 😅
The Mustang has a weight problem. Needs more torque.
Correct, it does have a weight problem with the heavy S650 chassis.. but the engine is the best of the bunch by a mile. NA rev's of a coyote are special.
Chevy Camaro: 455 BHP / 3760 lbs = 0.121 BHP/lb
Toyota Supra: 382 BHP / 3343 lbs = 0.114 BHP/lb
Nissan Z: 400 BHP / 3519 lbs = 0.114 BHP/lb
Ford Mustang GT: 455 BHP / 3827 lbs = 0.119 BHP/lb
@@twistedneckthe new mustang with active exhaust is 486 HP by the way
@twistedneck Supra Hp numbers are wrong, those cars have around 440hp to the crank.
his shifting point was off
i dont know how the shifter feel is on the dark horse, but if your a somewhat of a good driver in the 1le, the shifter is really nice and can be very fast in it.
So in conclusion despite the mustang having the highest power it lost in all the races despite it being the newest model of all four
Yeah, his conclusion has me confused. The Mustang lost against the Supra in both races but somehow he says he's impressed by the Mustang. Like, what?
Hard to reach any conclusions from this video to be fair. Bogged launches every time and slow 1-2 shifts. The Camaro, Mustang and Supra manuals all run around ~12.5 in the 1/4 while the Z is around 13.0. I suspect most of the times in this video are low to mid 13.
Mustang is trash.... they only fast boosted
Wish they were all autos first time I seen a mustang lose to a supra and a z always back n forth with the Camaro though
@@jmb1998 That's weird. I've always seen the Supra come out on top.
Every car needs a driver mod asap
Manuals are not faster anymore. Get the autos. Manuals were better when the autos were only 3 or 4 speeds and even up to 6 speed autos they could be faster. But now it’s no contest with the 7+ speed gearbox, dual clutches etc.
You stated the obvious we all know that and nobody buys a manual over a auto cuz they think its faster . Yall really Yap just to Yap
@@Jmarzx talk about yapping lol you are the one responding. No asked you too🤣 you must not be around the car scene, “aww it’s not a manual” is something you always hear especially driving a v8.
Every generation of the Mustang I wish for a smaller lighter chassis to get the Mustang down in the 3300-3500 lb. range because it’s too heavy. Will it ever happen? Kudos to the Supra!
The mustang was second best ? Didn't the Supra beat the mustang twice ?
This was so enjoyable - Camaro was def a surprise for me, I had my money on the Mustang. However I think the Z is the most practical one only if you can get one in Canada 🙈🇨🇦
Like this comment if you watched the first upload 😂
That was the fastest shifting I have ever seen in my life. Are you sure the Mustang is a manual?
LoooooL 😂
New Z and mustang dark horse 😈❤️🔥
Racing all four cars at the same time is more interesting...the knock out stages order is not so exciting...but that's just me. Thanks for the video and the super nice and interesting cars champ💯
Supra will be a classic..
Mustang needs Magneride, and also needs Tremec 6 Speed for No Lift Shift, I actually am shocked the Camaro was that close... Camaro for sure has MagneRide because there was no bounce during Shifting gears 👨🏻🤘🏻🏎🏎🏁🏁🚩🚩
As someone who owns a 2024 mustang with the 6 speed manual I can definitely say that I wouldn’t have lost to the Z first race 🤷🏾
I own a GR Supra. I love it, it's fast. But the guy in the Mustag has to learn to shift...
I would like to see a drag race between 3 Ram 1500s. A 5.7, a Hurricane, and a Hurricane High Output. Another race I would like to see is a Silverado with the 6.2 liter vs. a Ram with the High Output Hurricane and an F150 with either the 5.0 or the 3.5 liter twin turbo ecoboost.
