  • unpopular opinion: there’s a more effective path to healing your body from stress and trauma than yoga 👇🏼
yoga is not the best first step for healing your body from chronic stress / trauma 🥹
yoga can provide some relief, but it’s not the best place to start because the roots of stress and trauma go deep within your nervous system, creating a constant state of dysregulation 😮‍💨yoga wasn’t created specifically to heal your body from stress, trauma, or dysregulation, whereas somatic exercises were 💖western yoga (asana) doesn’t create new neural pathways to the same extent that somatic exercises do
practices like mindfulness and meditation in yoga can be really triggering for you if your nervous system is dysregulated from trauma 🥹the current culture of yoga is overly focused on right vs wrong, which can lead to perfectionism, body dysmorphia, and prevent you from being able to truly connect with you body ✨you may feel better after yoga for a day or two but the pain, the fatigue, or the sleep issues keep coming back. It’s because you aren’t doing anything to heal the root issue of dysregulation with western yoga 😮‍💨
the good news is there is a more effective approach - somatic exercises 💖
through somatic exercises, you can release stored trauma, reset your nervous system, and disrupt the habitual stress response in just 30 days 🥰
the benefits are game-changing: new neural pathways, more energy, better sleep, less physical pain, increased mental clarity, releasing pent up stress / trauma stored in your body, and emotional stability 🙌🏼
after 30 days, you’ll no longer be living in a constant state of dysregulation-your pain, sleep issues, and exhaustion will go away and you’ll have created new neural pathways to keep you feeling good long-term 🥰
do you want to heal your body more effectively from stress and trauma, beyond what yoga can offer?
get guided through the step by step 👇🏼
release stress & stored trauma (30 day course) 🔗 on profile 💖✌🏼💖

I did yoga for years before my body stopped working, and suddenly, I got so sick every time I did yoga. It was very confusing for me, but 16 years later, and now I have the answer. Thank you. ❤️

That's so true. Your exercises helped me so much more. I also take self defense class (Wing Tsun) and this is releasing so much trauma from my body. Here I can give room to all my suppressed anger in striking exercises in a very protected and friendly space.

I was doing yoga last year and after every session I felt tired and drained. I would even get headaches. I had no idea what was going on. I’m glad I found this channel. I’ve only been doing somatic exercises for 3 days, and I’ve noticed that I sleep through the night and I haven’t had any headaches. That’s a win so far!

Thank you. I was seeing a counsellor who recommended chair yoga for me. My gut instinct rejected this, despite knowing I need something. I even had to explain the polyvagal theory to this experienced, long term counsellor. I have subscribed to your channel. You make sense. Thank you for sharing.

I would appreciate your thoughts on acupuncture for stored trauma and a dysregulated nervous system? I value your input so much. 💕

I find yin Yoga okay and relaxing too, but haven’t always felt so great doing other more vigorous forms of yoga

    Thank you !
About yoga or physical practice how to deal with the vital need to slow down (for me) and the unability to do that because it is to insecure (even if i have no energy to go) ? I thought yin yoga was appropriate because you slow down but have still slow movements so maybe it is securizing ? Especially for people with CFS who have very few energy...

I really like the concepts you are teaching! But I’m just curious why you refer to yourself as a ‘witch’??

Yeah I don't get it *workout witch* doesn't seem to match "healing trauma* movements

I have seen somewhere (here on UA-cam or instagram) that when she was teaching somatic exercises one on one, her clients called her a witch. Because she helped them feel better, it felt like something magical, after all the years of not getting any help from anything else.

To me it totally matches. Witches are women who heal people. Nothing negative about the word witch… tho patriarchy def wants u to believe that!

It is just a nickname! There is no spiritual affiliation with this name. My courses are solely based on somatic exercises that are clinically proven to release stored trauma.

Historically, witch refers to a wise woman, a healer, a woman who uses resources like herbs for healing. We have been conditioned to believe in wicked witches...this is because in our patriarchal world, strong, wise women are feared. I class myself as a witch. I do no spells, do not need the 'paraphernalia ' that many see as 'witchy'. Remember your power as wise women. Claim the name back from ridiculous Halloween images and voodoo hype.
