I eventually got a good 2 stage break. I can not get a decent 1st stage , if i hold the lever back all the way it will spring back. Pushed forward(ready to fire) or in safe it sticks. I’ve learned to live with it.
A warning to others watching this excellent video. I just bought a Ergo grip to replace the standard grip. A nice shiny screw is provided in the kit with a locking washer to hold the grip in place. However, I should have stuck with the original screw as thinking that the shiny screw was the same size as the original, upon attempting to screw the Ergo onto the stock I found that it wasn’t screwing in. I soon realised the difference and changed out for the original screw which was fine. The screw thread is 6mm, not the American sized screw thread.
Yes, if you get an ERGO grip, make sure it is from ERGO Air, which are made for air rifles. You use the factory screw with the ERGO air grips 👍 great PSA though!
Thanks for doing this really well explained. There is one screw hidden beneath the trigger post if you slide the post as you show in the video it reveals it what does this do please? Thanks
Since the trigger post can slide, it can cover up a few of the screws, but more than likely that is the screw that acts as a post for the trigger spring, the small spring that connects the trigger to the trigger sear.
Oh nice just watched the other one. Not knowing you had one for the Panthera. I have a compact and looking to improve my trigger. What grip is that? I was looking for a 90° grip. Mine is at a slight angle and feels odd.
Played with it some more no matter what i do theres is no “wall” after the 1st stage. 1st is rather mushy and 2nd breaks at around 11/12 oz. If i bring in the 2nd stage screw it only gets a little heavier but cocking becomes more difficult. No matter where i had it set i am not happy with this setup. I have a $250 UX notos and 1st stage is almost non existent but still there. 2nd stage is clean and breaks at a little over a lbs. id take the heavier pull in the Panthera to have the crispness and clear break of the Notos. Any ideas ?
The trigger screws are secured with blue loctite, and it is possible for some of that loctite seeping into the 2nd stage screw (the inside is a spring loaded ball bearing). This can cause major issues with the 2nd stage adjustment. The grip shown is the stock FX grip. Likely yours has a MDT or ERGO grip that the original Pantheras had, or if you have the Hunter, then it is supposed to come with the angled grip, but this grip is available from FX as a spare part.
@@910AirgunTuningandRepairs hmm interesting. So I messed with it some more and feel i got it back to how it was stock. First is sticky, decent wall and breaks just shy of 16 oz. Seems pretty common for this trigger looking around.
this helped me so much thank you!
most in depth and explained everything
Very well explained 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧

Excellent. Thank you. I found this very helpful. By the way, on my Panthera Hunter Compacy (.22) my stage 2 was 1.5mm

Cool
Just wondering if the crown match trigger comptible with the pa thera??
Unfortunately it is not compatible as there is no where to attach the base plate
Can someone please make a better trigger for this thing. I can't stand it! 2nd stage is pure garbage.
