I bought my Crown a couple months back. I paid for scope mounting, zero, and tuning from a major US distributor. I just thought my trigger was the way it was. Found out after watching your video it was in bad adjustment...sticky trigger. A few minutes of adjusting it myself has made me happy and enjoying the gun more. Thanks for the excellent video.
Glad to hear you were able to take care of it yourself with this video! Inspiration to make more videos 👍
Thanks a 1000000! My Crown started to have a sticky trigger for some reason, I started to freak out and thought that something broke inside. Thanks to your awesome video with clearly presented info I was able to fix it very easily. Thanks again!
You are certainly welcome, and thank you for watching! So glad my video could help!
Great job Newman my first comment was back a few hours ago and your video really helped me with the sticky trigger. I was ready to send it back. But I see many others have also solved this problem. Hooray for you
Glad I could help!!
I have to Thank you for this video. I used it to adjust my Panthera trigger, it is now perfect for me. Thank you
More crown info videos please 👍🏻 thanks, appreciate this video !!!
Thank you for watching! I have some more Crown tuning videos coming in the future 👍
My Crown trigger was messed up. If I pulled the trigger with the safety on, then released the trigger, it would fire. Sometimes the first stage would stick when pressed once I hit the second stage. Then I would get a big surprise when I touched the trigger to shoot !. I followed your fantastic guidelines on trigger adjustment, and now it's rock solid and much better than the factory sent it to me in ! I watch all your videos and they are very professional and educational. Keep up the great work and keep the videos coming !
Wow! I am so grateful for your kind compliments, and also very excited to hear my tutorial was able to assist you! Anytime you have questions about your rifle, do not hesitate to ask, I am more than happy to help. Thank you for watching!
Have a Crown Continiuum in 22. Came out ofthe box with an sticky first stage. Because I got it brand new I went back to the store were I bought it. They did some adjustment but after a few shots it got sticky again. I did now the trgger myself after seeing your trouble shooting the Crown trigger. It is now fine. Thank you.
Wow! Sorry to hear about the bad first impression, but very glad to hear you were able to fix the trigger yourself 👍 let me know if you need a video for any other repair!
Thanks for the video - it is right on! Your explanations are very clear, now my trigger is setup exactly the way I like it! Only took a couple of minutes to do. Cheers!
Your explanation is better then earnest row 👌👌👌👌
Real good. Very thorough. I got a sticky trigger and I'm trying to solve it. I thought perhaps the spring was too weak. I'll play around a little more with it.
Great demonstration
Newman! Glad I found this as my Crown has the sticky first stage issue. Was getting ready to call FX USA but will give this a try first. Fingers crossed!
And it worked perfectly. Your video’s the first one to explained in enough detail for me to set it, just right. No need to call and bother the hard-working, awesome techs at FX USA!
Glad to hear! More than happy to help whether it is here or at FX USA.
Just got my crown mk2 .25cal going to lighten up that second stage. 👍good video.
Awesome! Happy shooting!
Great video ,very useful...
excellent trigger video, thanks 🙏👍🔫🇸🇪
Thank you too!
i have a crown .30 thanks great video these air rifles are very well made
Great info .
Excellent video. Thank you. Quick question, does the position of the trigger blade post, fore and aft, make a difference in trigger pull?
Yes it does for sure! The further from the fulcrum (trigger wheel pin), the lighter the pull to tilt / "pull" the trigger.
@@910AirgunTuningandRepairs Thanks for your reply. So that’s my issue, pull / longtitudinal position has changed. The biggest issue I had with my Mk2 Continuum is that every screw was loose when I got it, so everything moved, very annoting. Once I tightened everything, it works like a dream. My only other issue is with the 700mm barrel. Houtght I would have used it a lot more than I have, 3 times, because youhave to remove it every time to put everything back in the case. It’s a real pain getting stuff down to the English speaking islands in the Caribbean.
Great video! So mine started to slip here and there when i cock the gun, it once slipped and fired. My cocking linkage with the two scrub screws is still in place but seems like while cocking, it is not smooth like it was scraping on something. Could this be the trigger system out of place causing the sear not catching, etc? Thank you in advance
Possibly, or the hammer pin bent. The rifle will need to be disassembled and investigated to find the cause.
Great video. Thanks for sharing.
What did I learn? Don't mess with the trigger adjustments. It's perfect at factory setting.
Mine started sticking after half a year, so sometimes you have to...
Very informative video. Thanks 👍
Muito obrigado pela informações, a minha Crow estava disparando ao tocar na tecla do gatilho mesmo quando travada .
Não tem problema, estou feliz por poder ajudar!
subscribed for you handwork mate.
Thank you! I truly appreciate it!
Hi, I was looking at the FX impact Mk3 and the Crown mk2 25 caliber but I noticed one advantage of the impact is that at 25 caliber it had about 90 FPE while the Crown Mark II had about 60 FPE. My interest is long range shooting and experimenting with penetration and accuracy of course. I prefer the look in the feel of the crown but an additional 30 FPE on the Impact is a big advantage for me. Any idea why there's such a difference?
It is simply the build of each rifle is drastically different. If you like the Crown, but want power, look at the FX King. Nearly identical stock and configuration, but even more power than the Impact M3/M4.
@910AirgunTuningandRepairs I always thought the FX impact was the most powerful in terms of FPS and FPE. Aren't you going to get more of a shot count with the impact M3 compared to the king?
What would you estimate the shot count would be with a 30 caliber shooting slugs as compared to a 22 caliber shooting slugs with the King? The specs on the FX impact Mark 3, 30 cal caliber is around 110 shots but I doubt you're going to get that many shots with slugs.
@910AirgunTuningandRepairs actually I just looked up the FX King. At 600 mm Barrel 22 caliber is 128 shots and the 25 caliber is 96 shots. What's impressive is that I thought these were with pellets but then I noticed that it's stating using the FX hybrid slugs which is very impressive. With the FX impact They Don't Really state if it's with slugs or pellets so I don't know if the shot count is comparable with slugs.
Hi, when did you change de caliber you change the power of Crown ? Did you change this um regulador?
yes when you change calibers the regulator and hammer spring tension will need to be retuned accordingly.
Love your videos man you have helped me so much thanks man!!!
No problem at all! Glad I could help out, let me know if you have any other questions 👍
Got a sticky trigger so I have to take it out off stock to adjust??? And one more thing I adjusted my hammer spring max reg 150 and I noticed today it went down to 145 so brought back to 150 why is it roaming all around is it the gauge they are the old white ones and thanks man... where are u located iam near Pittsburgh just wondering I’d pay you to tune my gun
@@dougdishler2086 hey Doug, shoot me an email, 910airguntuner@gmail.com.
You don't have to remove the gun out of the stock to adjust the trigger, but I would say it is a whole lot easier if you do.
Nice man going to go do mine now
Great job!!!
I have a drs and the trigger is too light but this looks like a complete fiddle to adjust 😮
great video
Is there loctite on the screw on the trigger blade, if so a little heat to the screw to adjust the the blade angle. ..1.27 mm hex key, where does one find that key?
Normally there is not loctite on the trigger blade screw from the factory. 1.27mm hex can be found on Amazon, Bondhus makes one
would you advise the o-ring sizes for the crown
If you email serviceusa@fxairguns.com, they can provide you with a list. I do not have one readily available, sorry
Is this the same assembley that is used in the F/X Imdependence?
Similar, but not the same. The Crown is a better trigger, but functions very similarly
Where can I get the Allen key wrench and key set that you are using?
Thanks for a great video I learned a lot
I just liked and subscribed
Keep up the good work
Thanks Tom
I order all of my tools off of Amazon 👍
Tried Amazon didn't see the type used in the video please post a specific reference thanks TOM
Tbuggey dont do what this guy does using a power tool to make micro adjustments. Use your head and use hand tools.
The problem with all this is after you tweak the first and second stage screws and get it just perfect and then go walking in the woods on a hunt for instance, the next time you shoot the rifle you'll find the trigger is not how it was before you left. You have to secure those screws once you've adjusted them so they don't vibrate in or out. One small rotation will cause a big difference. I suggest if you mess with them, just take them out and put some Teflon tape or some sticky bow wax on the threads and redo everything. This will absorb the vibrations while walking around and hopefully keep them set. Locktite would be my last option. I wish FX had a different mechanism for adjustment that would stay put.
Hey Jason, Thank you for your input! The FX factory uses Loctite to secure the screws in place, so that is ultimately what I recommend as well (obviously low strength). The Teflon tape does not sound like a bad idea at all though!
Is this the same trigger that is on the Dreamline tactical
Not the exact same, but very similar, and have same functions
is it the same with hw100 trigger?
I do not believe so. I am unfamiliar with the HW100, but it is from RAW, not FX, so I assume the triggers are different
what is a safe way to heat or remove loctite on a set screw /my safety wont engage
Pencil torch, cigar lighter, or any small flame. Or, remove the trigger assembly from the rifle then apply heat to the necessary screw, that way you do not have to worry about orings getting heated.
Is it similar to the impact my gun set 2 pound I like a light trigger
I have my Impact tuned to a 3oz first stage. 2nd stage is maxed out around 6oz 👍factory set about 1-2lbs
please! Can I have a drawing of the trigger and the rule
FX has schematics of nearly all of their rifles on their website.
910 Airgun Tuning and Repairs Thank you very much, I'm currently using an fx impact air gun, I want to learn about fx impact air trigger.
@@chungnguyen-sc2bt I have a separate video for the Impact trigger, I recommend it!
Power tool on a weapon 😄
As long as you use high quality drill and bits, and you know what you are doing, same effect if not better than a hand tool 👍
@@910AirgunTuningandRepairs i use hand tools and my built in human torque meter because its more fun
