This is why i really dislike spring tensioned magazines. The o-ring retention magazines like the HW100 and cz s200 with the magazine rotation system built into the rifle have my preference.
Awesome video! Not only relevant to the Panthera. Won't change the spring tension because I'm using slugs. Will definitely do the other mods to my Maverick mags. Thanks for sharing the knowledge.
Thanks again for the interesting video. Would you advise doing any modifications to the Ghost magazine. I find mine very annoying to use. It’s favourite pellets (JSB 8.44) only go in up to the skirt and shoot better if I seat them with a tool of some kind. Is it just the same with a Daystate?
The tension on the stock magazine is high on these rifles as theyre designed to shoot slugs. If using slugs, a lower tension will cause problems with reliability in the longer run. For a non-FAC rifle this is ofcourse not the best route to go, but those rifles get the same standard magazines the FAC ones do.
Hi, You seem to do quite a bit with the FX's and it all looks really good with some really obvious mods that should be factory standard given the price, it would be nice to see you work on a Wildcat. I'am sure it would be good for viewing numbers and definitely good for those of us Wildcat owners who would like a bit of inspiration for upgrades.
I am currently having the exact same issue with my JTS. More apparent when using JSB RS lightweight pellets (in .22 calibre). I was looking into how to reduce the spring tension as there are no alternative mounting positions. Looks like time to get the micro drills out.
Excellent vid as always can I just say just on Saturday I bought a fx dynamic tdr and from the off I couldn’t feed any pellets in it because the tension was too strong it would chew up the first locking pellet , further more the pellets were wobbly and wanted to almost fall over it’s as if the new mag is designed for long slugs compared to normal pellets.. I swopped it over for my old mag and now no problems.
Hello sub12 airgunners. would this be the same job to do on my Sub 12ft Mark 2 FX verminator 177. I bought this air rifle brand new a few years ago I ordered three more extra Mags it's the same on all 4 mags. damaging the pellet skirt even when using Bisley magnums. I haven't used this FX verminator for 5 years now because of the problem which is a shame. So I use my air arms s400 and 410 air arms
@@sub12airgunners thank you for the reply. I fiddled with one of the magazines late last night with less spring tension loaded up the Mag with 177 Rangemaster sovereign and the pellet skirt doesn't seem to be crushed like before. I will try shooting them tomorrow morning. Fingers crossed. And thank you again
Hey Geoff...have you ever had occasion to use one of those harmonic barrel tuning blocks that wrap around the barrel and do they work any? Thanks for the informative vids!👍
Why i now steer clear of Daystate. For the price you pay all these little niggles should be sorted out. Unless you fall fall for the "Limited edition" numbered nonsense, Rolex they aint!!
Watched a video of yours a year or two ago when I bought a Dreamline and took a bit of spring tension off the magazines. Worked a treat.😁
Nice one glad t helped 😀
Interesting as ever chaps ,the transformation of this rifle since day one is miraculous .
Thanks for watching 😀 i is spot on now mate how it should have been out of the box

yes i agree the spring tensioned system is not good on any gun 👍
Fiddley little job but looks to have been worth while. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks and thanks for watching 👍
Great vid as usual Jeff, many thanks.
I did this to all my FX mags when you made the first video a while back, thanks again.
Thanks and thanks for watching 👍
Nice little video and an cracking score card. Any 250 with a mag is not too shabby at all. its turned into a cracking rifle.
It is now mate the hft 500 barrel has made the gun 👍👍
For such costly rifles, they seem to need a LOT of post processing to get them up to speed.
lots of bit's we do to all our guns but this one is needing a fair bit

Yes i know exactly what you mean and yes it's the same with a Daystate depending on what pellets you use but just seat them 😀
Excellent video many thanks
Thanks and thanks for watching 👍
Great content very helpful

The IKEA off air rifles. FX short for fit extra. Part's. A MFI wardrobe has a better chance iff staying together. Thanks vor video.

yes i agree for FAC, but this is sold as a sub12lbft and slugs are not recommended and it does come with a different mag cover for that reason 👍
Good job guys.
Thanks mate 👌
Great informative video👍🏼

Oh dear!, Mrs watched vid with me, she's got a Dreamline, guess what I'm doing Saturday, prior to going to the range Sunday? 🤔
😂 they don't all need it but most will improve when you have done it 😀 thanks for watching
Sir can you please check the Airmaks krait magazine the numbers is not in order , it’s stopped on number 14 when it’s empty .
Good day
thanks for watching 👍

it would be similar but the older mags a slightly different so not the same

How can you make it semi auto instead of bolt action. Is there a kit?
not that i know of it would be a fair bit of work

I have not used one of them but we have a barrel weight that helps on some guns 👍👍
Does the magazine also deforms/hurts slugs? or is this tip just for pellets? Great vid. Thx. i subbed
No not on slugs 👍
Another problem I would expect with a budget manufacturer but unacceptable for high-end manufacturers. Glad I didn't pay £1,700+ for it.
no they are racking up now but the mag is a problem with lots of guns 👍
They should give you a job ,,,
Don't think they like us very much 😂😂
Ther is no sond
Oh yes there is! Why is no one else commenting on it!
Y,as pas de son

this is an fx mag but it is a problem with lots of manufactures
If shit was worth money this bloke be a millionaire😊
never mind things will get better for you 👍
