- Automatic Transmission Leak - Simple Fix for less then 1$ Dollar!
Replacing the O-ring on a Transmission dipstick tube on a Ford AOD trans but should be a very similar process for any transmission. - Авто та транспорт
I can honestly say I like this guy, seems like he's straight to the point trying to help!
I appreciate the compliment my friend!
Thanks for all the socket sizes and the exact "O" ring size. I already have the "O'reilly's O ring kit". My wife's beautiful Lincoln Town Car has been parked for the last 6 months because I was certain it was the front pump seal. I got it up and cleaned it really well and it is the O ring that is leaking. I would offer to kiss you but you would have to shave your legs and we would both end up with our pictures on a beer can and you already know how that goes!!!!LOL Seriously, I want to thank you so much.
😂😂😂 best comment ever
Thanks a lot, 9/16" o-ring worked for my 99 Mustang as well :)
Thank you I have a 2006 ford F 150 with exactly the same problem as you described .I really appreciate your video.
My 2 favorite parts of this video were 1- the o-ring size and 2 - the smokey burnout! Thanks for both.
Thanks Dude. Just watched 25 min of some dipstick telling his girlfriend how to put a jack under a frame and how to turn a ratchet. Felt like I was DV'd. Uboob really needs to bring back the negatives! Straight to the point, going to subscribe just for that.
Hahaha I appreciate it brother!
@@FloridaCrackerKustoms Thanks. :) M

@@survivormary1126 sorry I assumed it was a guy commenting. I don’t get many ladies commenting on the channel but I’m glad the channel is expanding :)
@@FloridaCrackerKustoms Nope, lol. MARY is a giveaway unless some sort of new gender thing :) I can see why from my comments. I'm 110-120 and don't want to wast my life having some dude show his GF he wishes he had, take of a lugnut. Have been working on my own stuff for about 20 yrs now because I got lied to too many times and had them fck it up more 2 many times. Save a ton of $$$$$$ 2. Reach out anytime maybe we can share E-150 tips and tricks, just a girl in the world. Greeting fellow dyer :)
I like your clean setup under the Hood. Gives me inspiration for 1976 Ford F100 up north here in SC..
Nice and helpful video. Deserves more views and likes. I need to replace my filler tube on my 4R75 once I get the parts. Pry’d on it out of desperation while changing an O2 sensor when my ratchet and socket got hung up. I’ll try to avoid using the socket type O2 wrench from now on.
Hello Brother Cracker! Yep, having the same issue with my C-6! Put a new trans pan on with the Moroso thick gasket, checked all lines etc etc, and after a few days, there would be a puddle under the car. Especially after adding fluid. Gonna go pull the dipstick and inspect the tube, replace to O-ring. Praying that will work. Dayum, I hate leaks. Thanks for sharing and cheers from Motown/Dearborn.
Thank you, Hope it fixes your problem! Leaks are the worst! Also check & make sure it’s not leaking around where your shift linkage/rod goes into the trans. There is a O-Ring internally that can go bad as well & cause a leak there.
@@FloridaCrackerKustoms Yes sir, already checked all of that, servo housing, and the vacuum modulator.
I wish I would have watched this before I dumped all that fluid on my driveway.
Take some brake cleaner or carb cleaner and cleaner and clean the flange of the dip stick and if the fluid is low enough go ahead and clean around the hole and put some black permertex around the flange and some in the hole and push that dip stick
Nice distributor
I have an e-150 and videos are hard to find for help, so I thought I would add here to maybe help anyone? I took out my bolt to tran filler to try to get a wrench on egr valve. When I went to put it back in I couldn't line it back up to save my life. I took off the next connector up swiveled it around and got it right in. Trick is to get it started by hand W/ ANIT-SEIZE, then fit other pipe back in by backing off the bolt. Get it all nice and tight and then crank it down rest of way.
Yes thanks
Thanks!😁
Thanks that helped I beat you I dropped my pan 5 times almost burned my car and it was the O ring the entire time 😂👍🏽
I’m at the same point and just realized it was the o ring too! 😢
Lol mine just started leaking out of no where and the goober at o rilles had no clue what I was talking about so I just ended up getting the universal pack and doubling up on the o rings
Hey I just got a 1996 f-150 v8 5.8 the dipstick for the trans broke off I’m trying figure out how to take it off I undid the bracket but still can’t get it off removed the screw to. My question is what do u think I missed?
You have a different trans then mine I believe. May be another bracket or retaining clip hidden somewhere.
Got a 1994 bronco and my dipstick jus wobbles… got under and the tube just slides out didn’t even see a oring smh that should be it lol
