- Welcome back to another video on my 2017 Ford Focus ST. In this video I will tell you if it's worth it to still buy a Focus ST in 2023, some of the pros and cons, as well as my personal experience with the car daily driving it.

For the shifter feel I highly recommended getting shifter cable bushings, it takes over 90% of the soup stirring feel away
Get an e30 tune... game-changer: promise!
I actually prefer our generation focus over the new one. Yeah it's dated in the fact that we've seen this face for a while now, but the new one is more soft looking in my opinion.
Exterior wise I can see your point. I think our American focus interiors aren’t the greatest though
It’s called “Soaring” by my band DONEFOR! This song is releasing on all streaming platforms soon along with our full length studio album but we have a couple singles up now:)
Great video! I have a 2014 and have had way different issues than you but I appreciate your take! I wish I would have watched videos like this prior to purchasing lol. But you live and learn right? Also, what is the song at the end of this video and who sings it??
I am planning to buy a 2018 focus st 132,000 for 15 think it’s worth it coming from a dealership
Get some solid shift bushings you will love them trust me
I know I really need to! How is the install? Pretty easy?
It’s easy one of the easiest modes I have done
Thinking of buying a 2013 with only 80k on it. I’m just concerned about the lifespan of the car. I would hope to get 150k at least, but would prefer 200k. Not sure if these cars last that long.
I’ve seen these cars go 200k plus but not without a few issues. The good news is a replacement engine can usually be found for under $1k. Maybe just have some money set aside just in case.
I have an ST3 with the "upgraded" Sony 10-speaker sound system, and as a fellow musician, I can confirm that it's incredibly mediocre at best.
@@ch-ir8ld I have. It doesn't. LOL
maybe I missed it but I don't think you ever explained what the bog down was when you started the car
What was it?
Purge valve needed replaved
Does the cobb tune come stock?
Definitely not you gotta buy it. I got mine from fb marketplace
Are you still running the mbrp exhaust with no resonator in the middle
Yes I sure am
it definitely has its flaws but…
VROOOOOOOOOOOOM PShhhhhsshhshh
Sprecher root beer
Have not tried that one yet I’ll keep a keen eye out
Was going to comment and say this! Sprecher for the win!
Most of the problems with any car happens when you start tunning it and modificating. The engineers with many years of experience and competence spend years and years trying to make the best possible bakance between the performance, consumption, CO2 emissions, handling and susspension in order to make car as good as possible. And then comes so called tunning exoert and he will make your car even better and faster because the enginerrs from factory know shit. For a God sake don't modify yout St, leave it stock and it will las for ages. If you need more powerfull car get yout self Rs.
P.S. If I subscribe now, which am I going to be on the Hall of Fame list if the subscribers? :)
If you don’t believe in “modificating” cars and having fun I don’t think you should even bother subscribing bro😂 I’ve never had an issue with my car and I’m smart enough to modify it in a smart way to avoid issues.

If you didn' lt have any issues this far, it doesn't mean that you won't. Just keep "modificating" your car and keep proving Ford engineers wrong. Good luck with it. :)
@@Toretto16 not proving anyone wrong I’m just being conservative with what i do. I’m still on stock turbo and internals. You just have to learn what’s safe to do on the vehicle.
consumer auto engineers are constrained by management and trying to appease all. We have a good sample size of tasteful mods to make the ST more reliable and enjoyable.
Example, a stock ST will heat soak the intercooler and get build up on the intake valves. Aftermarket mods help
