The chorus of Borrowed Time has a similar melody to the chorus of this, I think that connection is that L sings about going against what he wants to believe, while Misa is singing that she won't give L what he wants. Nice little parallel there.
Also similar to The Game Begins. "the game begins" "the way things are" "on borrowed time" are sung basically in the same melody, but I can't see the connection
This is honestly one of the things that makes L such a great detective, his willingness to not discard possibilities when faced with evidence that points to them, even if the conclusion they lead to might sound absurd.

Honestly, of the musical casts Teppei Koike is still THE defining L who both manages to not crack while singing and keep the qualities of the character in his voice. The original demo L and Kim Sung Chul are great too. Kim Junsu is an... acquired taste.

I love the English lyrics but these seem more accurate to me. And IMO he played L the best. The eyes, the postures, the mannerisms... fantastic
