This is why L is a detective. Not for the justice, but for the GAME. The adrenaline and energy, the emotion, the rise in his ego... it’s what he lives for. That’s why you see his mental state deteriorating through the anime, he’s not used to being wrong. Kira is slowly winning. But L hates to lose, so this is just another layer of the game. This is where his irrational determination comes from. His sense of ‘justice’ comes from the feeling of being right, and the thrill of winning a twisted game. Both stalemate and playing his game prove this theory, though they aren’t canon. But I have to wait till all the facts are in and analyse by working backwards.
I love how they say "the game begins the same way" bc a lot of people forget L has other cases. L has been through this kind of thing a million times, whereas Light hasn't. This is Light's only thing. But L has done this so many times he doesn't expect to lose at all. and also how they have the piano that reminds us all of L's theme in the anime. it's, great
I like both versions of the song, but I notice the Korean lyrics and the English ones are quite different. The English version is all about logic and calculations. The Korean one is like, "I'm going to kill you, punk."
This version comes off to me as being true to L's character and mode of thinking and operation. I haven't heard the Korean version, but this one is true to L.
Having listened to the Korean version, I do appreciate that they addressed L's disdain for Kira. I think the ideal would be to use this one as a base and add or change the lines to throw some of that bite into it. Like, you could change, "Some little thing - some minor detail Will draw you in, and then Another one will draw you out again!" To, "A simple taunt and substitute - they Will draw you in, and then, Your arrogance will draw you out again!" That change helps tie this song into "There Are Lines" and "Secrets and Lies," and it gives L a diss at Kira. You could also maybe change, "A kilobyte of information, And soon a corner's turned." To "A kilobyte of information, And soon this martyrs burned." Dunno. Stuff like that.
Mr Silver l doesn't have disdain for Kira, L sees Kira as an interesting character, this version seems more true to the calm composed L, he seems a bit too emotional in the Korean version
The chorus is like 1 key off from Light’s part in the chorus of Secrets and Lies. You could swap the choruses of these songs and you probably wouldn’t notice right away. I love that so much. It’s like this song is L just laying out his Norma routine that he does for every case, and then Kira comes along and both Light and L start to lose some of their sanity in Secrets and Lies
Okok but it just makes me so happy that these demos have come to light. I fell in love with this musical when they broadcasted the Korean showcase of it and hardly anyone knew about it but now the fandom is growing and hopefully we can get it performed on Broadway or the West End! So exciting! It’s like a new era :)))

The anime, 2006 movies, 2015 drama series, Japanese musical, Korean musical (all the performers in both languages), and hell even in the Netflix movie even tho it was horrible, L saved it at some points. Oh man definitely the Korean version first, then the English demo, the Japanese version being my least favorite (not a fan of the vocals :/ ). JoyStar I noticed that myself. I mean, when you have an angsty teen who thinks it’s his destiny to play God, you can only think so much. Not to mention L outclasses Light in every way possible. In the Anime, L only died because he only expected there to be one Note. That as well as L having never saying his real name. L was the smarter one between him and Light. Right now I'm trying to choose between uninstalling a large app and getting an anime app that is also large to rewatch Death Note, or keep it and suppress my love for this anime and need to rewatch it. Any suggestions on what I should do?
Well how much do you like anime compared to that app. If you can answer that, then that's what you should stick to, even if you keep the app. If you can't answer that question, then try uninstalling smaller apps that you don't use until you have enough room to install the anime app

It's supposed to. The whole soundtrack is inspired by the anime soundtrack. All the instrumentation is matched to the character's themes.

Well how much do you like anime compared to that app. If you can answer that, then that's what you should stick to, even if you keep the app. If you can't answer that question, then try uninstalling smaller apps that you don't use until you have enough room to install the anime app
