I love your very useful sequential approach because it allows to tackle the possible issues separately: 1) check first the shapes (positive and negative shapes), drawing structure, position & proportions, by superposing them in Photoshop; 2) Check the values by comparing the black and white versions between the original and the master copy ; 3) Only then see if there is a color / hue issue 4) Check the quality of the key brushstrokes, in particular their simplicity. Thanks, Chelsea 😊 David
Just came across this.... OH my gosh you are unbelievable, can't imagine how you learned so much so young! You have an incredible eye and even though I was lost, did listen and was able to see the difference in the photos which became more clear the more you went on. Am in awe...thank you so much
I wish I had your advice when I was first starting to paint!
😭 You are so kind. Thank you, Chris!

Thank you Chelsea for sharing your journey of painting ~ as an artist I am always learning with a student mind and you are a marvelous teacher!

One of your best video, great job
So happy to see a new video! These days I lack a bit of motivation to paint, but your videos are always inspiring! Thanks a lot :)

This is funny for me because about a month ago I did a master copy of this exact portrait. It came out well but John's was better haha.
