Kenny Aronoff "Drummer" is AWWSOME"! He's played for Alot of bands such as The Rolling Stones, John "Cougar" Mellencamp, CCR & So many others. In my opinion he's one of the Best drummers Everr!! I'm so greatful that i got to growup in the Greatest decade ever "60-70s" when music was REAL!!
He’s a very skilled and respected drummer but I’ve never been a fan. His playing has always called too much attention to itself. Both in how it sounds and how he looks. The drums always seem too prominent in the mix and he always looks like he’s trying his hardest to be the center of attention.
Still great and rocking at the age of 70! Awesome, just imagine, what unforgetable songs in rock and roll history he created: Bad Moon Rising, Have you ever seen the Rain, Proud Mary, Rockin' all over the world, Fortunate Son and and and so on. Keep rockin' on, John!
This man is pure Americana: soaks up every type of immigrant music that drifted into this great country, Irish folk music (which was the beginning of country and bluegrass) with the great black rhythm and blues, Spanish guitar gets all mixed together and we get this. So awesome!
Terrance Hill sorry no. This sounds rushed. Slow it down just a bit. CCR was a very tight band. Yes John was the main part, but they were great together.
I liked the band he had in 2005..., they did an incredible show called A&E Live by request. John had 2 rhythm guitarists & kept them low in the mix so John could be heard as he should be, he is a brilliant singer-songwriter & in my opinion a GREAT guitarist, his rhythm is stunning & the runs (born on the bayou etc.) are way more impressive to me than cliche solos.
I have just been reviewing on UA-cam over. several weeks of the incredible survival journey of John Fogerty who was born May 28th 1945. I was not aware of this David Letterman Show clip from April 29th of 2015 when he was 69 and within a month would be age 70 God who gave him the talents that he had and he survived the effects and he is early life when is father left is mother at age 9. If you watch any biography of him on UA-cam you will see it you was not only a survivor but he didn't want to experience the heartbreak the he experiences a child for his own son at the time in the early to mid 1970 's when he and other CCR members were having difficulties kama which were causing physical stress and marriage difficulties with his first wife. . If you watch clips John as well as the other members of CCR had split with him, , they did not engage in drug, alcohol and other escapades associated or assumed , by the public of Rockstar artists, especially up to the mid 1990s. A biography sketch that I just saw indicated John and the other members were driven by the mantra of music related to the working man goals or dreams appealing l to the overall aspirations of their life experiences which could be related to by " common man" as evidenced by John's remaining vitality as a 69 year old man on this Letterman Show clip approaching his 70th birthday. It is also an indication of the power of God's Holy Spirit placed in him to survive the rigors of his life. It was a true indication also of the thoughts contained in his autobiography that he was able to write at this time and which was being promoted by David Letterman.
Stephen Ross Thanks for bio summary! Have to get his book and watch out for YR clips! Hope he comes back to New Orleans next year for Jazz Fest-missed him AGAIN this year 😎
Que lindos recuerdos en El Salvador,en los años 60 y 70, la banda CCR, todos sus albunes, eran exitos, Que Dios bendiga al señor Fogerty le de larga vida.
I spent almost of my youth listen to music of John, liking playing my guitar over by hear... Well... now i may consider myself as a great composer in... nor in R&R, but at the contrary in melodic Poetical music (even inclusing some country-western songs). Sorry that i had to flashing the eyes of this drummer during all the concert lived in Rome. Then, i could have meet even John (i'm a great musical collector too) )standing he a long time that night inside the pulmann stationary for the dinner, but i refuse to do... just about don't meet the drummer !
This is a Viet Nam song, and we listened to it all the time over there. Some times there a greater tragedy's than the one you create in your mind. By the way, where was our apology from the Democrat party for starting that mess?
For my taste, John sounds a lot better as a quartet. The sound is much better than the original CCR sound. Of course, these three musicians are better musicians than boys from CCR.
I disagree. The drums sound like plastic and the guitar vibe is very processed. Don't get me wrong, its great, but the sound of analog equipment and minimally mic'd drum kit like CCR has was unmatched. As far as backing musicians being 'better' than the original CCR? Maybe. BUT spirit and soul goes way further than talent.
I agree! Analog CCR sound is better than plastic digital sound. I really dont't like digital sound and many guitar processors. Guitar, cable, tube amp is my favorite combination. Greetings from Croatia!
Fogerty and Aronoff...accept no substitutes. BOTH legends.
Kenny Aranoff is every drummer anybody would ever need
This is REALLY not the way I think. 🙂
Kenny is overplaying
white snake , John fogerty , Smashing pumpkins can all agree with that
@@24theMoney yes and tone too bright
@@24theMoney absolutely
That's why Kenny's worth over 20 million, from just playing drums!
Kenny Aronoff on drums is amazing, just a freight train of rock n roll sound!!
Outstanding isn't he 🎉
His songs are still great today and man that drummer is amazing

John playing these songs 46 years later, and still sounds great. Wow
Benjamin Britt Nope he stopped after Ccr then startet to play em In 1997 ;)
Saw him few weeks ago. Worth every penny hope I’m that good shape at his age. Awesome show🇺🇸🇺🇸
Kenny giving it the full animal treatment
I will always listen to John Fogerty and all of his songs, love them!!!!
it really is pretty crazy how much energy john still has when hes performing the guy is 70 for gods sake
I went to see him last June with zz top and wow he still has so much energy he sang like 30 song's that night was a good 4 hr concert
He wasn't allowed to play his old stuff for years.
I just saw him tonight in concert and he was AMAZING. JOHN FOGERTY KICKS ASS
Yes Mr. Fogerty I noticed your guitar. Great video. Thank the musical gods every day for John. Thank you.
Kenny Arnoff is like Johns souped up engine wheel spinning his band down the highway of rock.
He’s a very skilled and respected drummer but I’ve never been a fan. His playing has always called too much attention to itself. Both in how it sounds and how he looks. The drums always seem too prominent in the mix and he always looks like he’s trying his hardest to be the center of attention.
The drummer drives the band. Kenny is the most desired drummer in the world.

Suzie Q!
FOR SURE!!! GOOD OL ROCK N ROLL FROM THE GOOD OL DAYS!!!👍👏
Watching this in 2023 & John just turned 78 in late May. Early June he was in concert in Sweden.
Been listening to John since the late 1960s - he is Rock and Roll.
Great work guys, ya still got it John! Very Impressive. Rock On Kenny Aronoff!

Kenny boy, you're hired!
2:12 LOL at John 👉 at Dave when he sings "Left a good job in the city." This was a few weeks before Dave stepped down.
The soundtrack of 69-70-71 a true songwriting genius, his music is still relevant 50 years on.
Wow!James Lomenzo Of WHITE LION AND BLACK LABEL SOCIETY On Bass!!!! Luv CCR & JOHN FOGERTY
Love his son on guitar next to him
Wish they showed him more. Take some focus away from the drummer.

Kenny Aaronoff is the man
101% true...'Kenny A' da Mac Dawg Daddy on skinz...
Yea, he's very heavy handed.
He still has it! GREAT high pitched rock tenor voice, great guitar player & great band.
Man ! That drummer is just KILLIN IT !!! Rock on, guy! Wow
ordinary chap not for me. Plays to fast. Sounds rushed. Slow it down just a bit.
@@MyDenney Who do you play for, numb nuts ???
Kenny is an assosiate professor at IU school of Music. He is the most respected and sought after drummer in the world.
Great Job Mr F
Wow took me back
AWESOME!! John is on fire!!
John Fogerty professional Rock Star!! mob🎸😎
Enjoyed this video! All the best!!
I think John Fogerty sounds appreciably better today with this trio (which includes his son) than the CCR bands post 1972
Terrance Hill I think you mean quartet . Tgerse a drummer ,bass guitar, rhythm guitar and lead guitar.
Terrance Hill sorry no. This sounds rushed. Slow it down just a bit. CCR was a very tight band. Yes John was the main part, but they were great together.

Hardcore, Fogerty is genius.
How good was this!!
Parabéns john pelo dia do rock voce é o melhor o maior é tudo de bom para musica amo familia fogerty
This fella is still loaded with a ton of AWESOME! I'm concerned with his drummer though. David may be right about him being anemic! lol

haha "working for dave"
Aronoff totally steals the show .
john popper plays a mean harp.
Genial the best
😊
wicked!!
Nice wig
Kenny Aronoff is such a badass!!!
kejola1969 maybe a bit to over the top. Tempo is to fast slow it down just a bit. It sounds rushed.
Eric Moore sounds so good on those drums back there!
working for the man every night and DAVE
The piece is too fast on the song you’re off
The audio on John Fogerty's vocals and his guitar is way too low. For fucks sake.
You're crazy. LOL
His guitar is the loudest & you can HEAR his vocal loud & clear.
who is the drummer.. he is a hired gun but can't remember his name!
It´s Kenny Aronoff, longtime Drummer for Fogerty
@@MegaGalaxxy also w melencamp and springsteen
good drummer, but can't watch him. something about the way he drums makes me cringe
@Dominik Schmid, if you cringe you obviously are not a drummer. As a drummer, when I see this, I smile 😃

anyone eles think this is justin beiber when he is 70? just a question ...
kev too No.
kev too John Fogerty has more talent in his pinky toe than Bieber has and or will ever see.
+JRockGalaxy Ya but Beiber gets more pussy on one night than that entire band gets on a whole tour.
That bassist is cooler, loyal and more magnificent of a player thsn that snake Stu Cook
What is that bass? I thought it was a MusicMan, but not sure now, hadn´t seen a two PBass pickup bass before.
Very strong very good john forgety. Fantasticccccccc
It’s a Yamaha… James LoMenzo is awesome!
weak audio
Yep i almost didnt bother
Boomer rule. Just saying.
i like the original CCR drummer better.
honestly, the band way too loud ruined Fogertys presence and vocals what a pity, one of the icons of the 60's and 70's

You're crazy. Go get your hearing checked. LOL
Everybody could HEAR John's vocal Loud & Clear.
lip synced....
+Lynne Whelden nope
No lip sync. You obviously don't know anything about music. LOL
