Unfortunately it released right before they broke up. So it got kind of lost in the shake up and forgotten about. Which is a shame because it is by far their best song. And one of the best songs ever written.
Yep this and Long As I Can See The Light. My Dad passed on Thanksgiving morning when I was 12. Grateful for these songs. Sounds weird but I relate to the pain and trauma.
@Ross Smith The great thing about music, is that it is universal. The fact that every individual interprets each song differently is amazing. To each their own! 🎵👍🏽
Huh?? i thought it sucked.... if the title of this vid was John plays with fan from the audience, i could see that. oh well, was still nice to see John sing.
Mr John Fogerty I listen non stop to your songs the last 50 years and never is enough! I always remember your songs! is like your soul is bounded with the american roots...This is bad time...Worldwide sickness menace us all...But it can be a time to listen to your songs, your life story all together...It is a whole thing! Cheers John!!! Thank Very Much Indeed!!!
I don't know but have lost count on how many times I play this song on Fathers Day.... Dad has passed in 2019... however, not got to have him listen to it and Dad I always remember you saying that someday never coes.... well Dad John Fogerty wrote a song about your statement....
Madre mia!!!
The words and music of a master, John telling his sad very sad so sad sad story about his own Father going away from his young family, the other singer has a most brilliant, his voice equals Johns on this song
This is yet another example of how John needs no one else to sing his songs with, there is literally no one who can come close to how John sings or performs. He works best solo.
"Someday Never Comes" (with Dawes) First thing I remember was askin' papa, "Why?", For there were many things I didn't know. And Daddy always smiled; took me by the hand, Sayin', "Someday you'll understand." Well, I'm here to tell you now each and ev'ry mother's son You better learn it fast; you better learn it young, 'Cause, "Someday" Never Comes." Well, time and tears went by and I collected dust, For there were many things I didn't know. When Daddy went away, he said, "Try to be a man, And, Someday you'll understand." And then, one day in April, I wasn't even there, For there were many things I didn't know. A son was born to me; Mama held his hand, Sayin' "Someday you'll understand." Think it was September, the year I went away, For there were many things I didn't know. And I still see him standing, try'n' to be a man; I said, "Someday you'll understand."
Very good, You know what would be a cool album ? Duets featuring John and some of the biggest names of John's era and some from today who were influenced by him and the CCR. A mix of Rock and CCR classics with a couple of original written songs would be AWESOME !
Whether anybody realizes it or not, this is CCR's masterpiece...
I quoted this song under my senior photo in my high school yearbook. It’s everything
Unfortunately it released right before they broke up. So it got kind of lost in the shake up and forgotten about. Which is a shame because it is by far their best song. And one of the best songs ever written.
I thought most if not all their songs, well, all JC Fogerty's compositions are Masterpieces.
John Fogerty’s masterpiece, maybe.
Hits home, on many levels.
Their voices blend very nicely.
I love John Fogerty's looks of appreciation and approval when Zachary is singing his song. Like he's handing it on to the next generation.
who is Zachary? Dawes lead singer is Taylor Goldsmith
@Ross Smith yes, why?
I think this song is perfect for Dawes
Zachary Taylor Goldsmith
@@Jim_me It’s Taylor Zachary Goldsmith.
Very good guitar solo! No shredding, no fast running scales up and down - just melodic cream on top of a delicious cake.
I never say this…. That guitar solo was amazing..
Lyrically and emotionally this is Fogerty's best piece. For musicality, it is Lodi.
That guitar solo!!!! John hasn’t stopped rocking since the 60’s, I love how he gave his “approval” of the solo. Great duet!!
And he was smiling at the Dawes harmonies on the final verse. This is such a hot take. A treasure.
Just saw john at Eugene Oregon . All I can say is; he was, still is, and forever will be .....Amazing
Today May 28 is John's birthday. Happy birthday 🎈🎂 John Fogerty.
Awesome JOHN FOGERTY is the best singer forever. Your music and your voice put a spell on us.
This tune always leaves me a blubbering mess. Thanks, Fogerty. Just thanks a lot!
Me too Sweetness
Me too. Sitting here all teary eyed.
Yup, I lived it.

What an awesome, live performance. Perfect harmony. I love CCR. Always have. Always will.
This song could have written for Dawes, perfect collaboration!
My generation made the best music ever heard.
Could've!!!!
I can’t believe I haven’t listened to Dawes until now. Taylor Goldsmith is a seriously talented singer and guitar player. John kills it as usual.
One of my favorite bands. Check out "that western skyline"
John Fogerty is a monument of music!!!! I like/love him soooo much , 'til I die....!!!!!! Songs for eternity!!!!!!
Heard this for the first time watching "For All Mankind" now in my all-time top ten songs, its beautiful
This music reminds me to my teenage years and the best decade of music. The 1970's. This music stays alive ☺☺
Spot on. 70’s were something special
wish I was alive then, but i was in my dads ballsack so it was a bit hard to hear, but I inherited his taste of music lol
@Ross Smith
The great thing about music, is that it is universal. The fact that every individual interprets each song differently is amazing. To each their own! 🎵👍🏽
excellent john fogerty with this underrated song bravo
Beautiful rendition of an underrated CCR -Fogerty song !
Don’t think anybody really knows the songs that weren’t Fogerty lol I’m a fan of their deep cuts and that’s still unwanted territory
This is great John Fogerty one of his best song’s!
I love John's sings...
I love dawes's sings...
Thank you John and Dawes!
what a treasure this guy is....and was.....his work is the soundtrack of my life.
Every time this song comes up on my iPod, Pandora, or UA-cam, I gotta hear it like 3x before I move on. The sound is so haunting and surreal.
What can I say? It´s just FANTASTIC!
Brings a strong man to tears every time
"Some Day Never Comes" n "Long as I Can See the Light" n " I saw it on TV" ... My favs from CCR/Fogerty
My favorite too

Nice guitar solo Dawes!
Huh?? i thought it sucked.... if the title of this vid was John plays with fan from the audience, i could see that. oh well, was still nice to see John sing.
The most amazing thing about this track is that Fogerty played the organ and the sax on this track. Amazing song. Incredible songwriter.
AMAZING!!..John the Hero of Youth!
You are the reason to pick up a guitar and learn to play👍❤
What a great Time!!!

This was my favourite Creedence song when I was young
Someday never come but ccr always comes, deep in my heart
sounds rude.
A great performance as always.
John is an absolute American Treasure and this one always gets me.
This is a fantastic arrangement of one of CCR’s best songs !!♥️🎶
uno dei migliori video in doppio interprete che ci sia stato...
I thing ccr music is the most universal way of connecting the world in peace
Now that's a great combo right there. Give it up for my boys & John!
Marvelous..you are FANTASTIC..love it.. Thanks for the post.. Enjoy it
The most under-rated CCR song
Genial ALL sons from CCR AND MR FOGERTY AN ALIVE LEYEND 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👏👏👏👏👏

Just my opinion but this is his best. Lyrics, tone and instrumental are phenomenal
Beautiful...........

John C.Fogerty ist mein Sänger der 70.is
EXCELLENT.
I am from Brazil and I love your songs.
Sad melody, but great, i love CCR.
John should song with others doing harmony more often. It adds to his sound when he shares the stage a bit.
DAWES big UP 🎸🎼🎼🎼🎧🎧🤙!!!
SIMPLEMENTE EXENTENTE DÚO.👏👏👍🎸 CHEERS JOHN🍻👍💿

Stupendous timing!

You're obviously not a drummer or you'd know that the full he did is very easy and nothing spectacular!
@@j.j.upright4010Not a drummer. Sounded cool, though. Sorry Mr. Copeland.
