The energy John Fogerty throws into his performance is unreal. Still rocking after 50 plus years. Underestimated and underappreciated, great band.
They sold millions of records. They're in the RnRHoF. Their songs are in countless movies and TV shows. They're all over classic rock and oldies radio. They're hardly underappreciated.

Bruce Springsteen saw him at Woodstock; Creedence had released 3 hit albums that year. When they played their hour+ long set, it was just top-ten hit after top-ten hit. Leslie West and others who saw them play mentioned that it was almost overwhelming, the string of hits, most of 'em killer tunes. They're mostly simple songs, but he crafted them as carefully as the Beatles ever did; he's the real deal. What a great video.

John wrote some of the most remarkable 3 minute singles in a two year span that will stand the test of time, the musicianship and artistic sincerity make him a special innovator.
Some of them are just over 2 minutes! CCR was as close to punk as you can get without being a punk band.

This guy Fogerty is literally a living legend! CCR is And was one of the legendary bands of all time. He is a songwriting genius and that voice. Unreal. He actually wrote Proud Mary! A song that is not only a standard rock song but sounds like it was around forever. Unbelievable! He wrote and sang all of CCRs hits!! Too bad his band and his brother betrayed him but he outlasted them all! And he looks incredible for 70 years. He looks like he’s maybe 45! Unbelievable!

Credence were one of the best all time bands and John Fogerty is keeping it going. So many superb songs in my opinion he is up there with Lennon and Mc Cartney. When are you coming to the UK John.? Can’t get over to the States or we would be at your next gig in a heartbeat. Sounds better than ever, still rocking at 70.

John was also good enough to tell people that the bathroom was on the right
