Thank you very much for your kind words! I'll try my best to upload more videos, and believe me, there are a ton of differents videos I could, and probably should, make. Time is sometimes an issue, though ... Once again, thank you!
Great comparison video! I have an older Survivor in A2 and I was curious about the similarities and differences between it and the Crusader. Thanks! ⚔️😉👌
Thx for the comparison, I always enjoy your vids and pics on the BRK group, cant wait til mine arrives, I think I have a Green/ Brown Elder burl with mosaics coming :)
I probably should try to get my hands on one. Then again, there are many knives I probably should have gotten my hands on. And here I'm sitting with two, three or even four of the same BRK-model ... And none of other models wich I really should have gotten. Oh well, it is what it is ...
Any idea where I can get those straps that go around the sheath. I’d love to carry my survivor horizontal on my belt, but my sheath didn’t come with the straps
Great Video. I completely agree about the improved sheath design, the new Crusader sheath is far superior to that of the Survivor. I had a custom kydex dangler sheath made for my 3v Survivor shortly after getting it. The rear of the Crusader handle has that larger pommel area for what seems to be an attempt at improving the grip for chopping. I'm not sure I like the added length and blade height of the Crusader over the Survivor, as the Survivor is already a hefty blade to hang from your belt. It also seems strange with regard to the grind height on both your Survivor blades as they start much lower on your two blades than mine . . . my 3V Survivor has a grind line similar to your Crusader. I look forward to your video when you put the Crusader and Survivor to work.
Personally, I'd go Crusader over the Survivor 3V. Or so I think right now, at least. I do like the extra blade length, but I couldn't care less about the slightly thicker spine and slightly wider blade. The new handle is an improvement, but it'll be the same handle on the next run of Survivors any way, so for those unsure which model to pick in the future, the handle will not work as a deciding factor. Same with the sheath design, since the new Survivors being made will have the improved sheath design. About the grind lines/grind height; that is indeed interesting. I haven't been able to compare my Survivors (both 3V) with any other Survivors in either 3V or A2. I don't mind the grind height at all with my Survivors nor Crusader, but I know that some Crusaders were actually made FHG, which I do find to be surprising, since that can have an actual effect on use ... I'll look into this more this coming week! Thank you for taking the time to comment, and I promise I'll upload a real user video of the Crusader, together with the Survivor, as soon as possible. It should be a lot of fun tbh! (Y)
It really is a pretty nice knife, and I, too, like the name a lot. Just thinking about what an even larger Crusader would called, if one were made in the future ...
I appreciate your comment, Rick! I wanted this review to look a bit different, with some real use ofc, but I was so short of time and a good setting to record in, but hey, it's better than nothing since there are no other videos out there showcasing the Crusader.
I'm happy to hear that you like it! And I'm a bit less happy to hear that you'll have to wait a few weeks before you get to hold your own one, which also sounds like a fantastic looking Crusader with the combo of Deser Ironwood and Brass Hardware. Excellent choice of handle material! It'll, for sure, look a lot better than what you just watched in this video, lol.
Maybe it's just in my head. But does the leather on the front for the crusader sheath seem a bit thin to you? I sat on the ground with the knife on my belt and the sheath hit the ground and the tip of the knife nearly went through the front of the sheath. It didn't penetrate but it made a protrusion in the leather. It makes me wonder how many times this can happen before the leather will fail and the tip will come through. I compared it to my bravo 2 sheath and the bravo 2 sheath is definitely thicker.
I would really like a bit of a tougher, thicker sheath for my Crusader, and some other models as well. I think that I'll have some custom sheaths made for some of my most used BRK's ...
I have yet to put the Crusader to real, hard work - but even so, I would easily pick the JX5 over it for pure chopping tasks. The Crusader I'm sure will chop well, but the entire design of the JX5, the handle and blade, is made specifically for chopping. I can tell right away that chopping with the JX5 will also be a more pleasant activity, due to the ergonomical handle design. I'm not saying that the JX5 is the better overall knife, or that the Crusader is not going to perform well in the chopping department, but I'm saying that in pure chopping performance, the JX5 will come out on top.
Jx5v1 is a chopping beast. Not good at stabbing. But great at stabing wood and twistin / tip prying in wood. The Crusader will chop and stab great. I wouldn't want to test the tip in wood though. At least not like a jx5v1, bk2, bk9, jessX would do...
You have the best Bark River channel on youtube in my opinion.
May your channel live forever!

Got 6 hours now of work on my Bark River Bravo machete, AMAZING tool

I just got mind today, but im Having the to where my sheath doesn’t close and reach around the handle. Do you know what I can to to solve this
Cool I wanted to see this next to a survivor
I had a feeling a lot of people wanted to do that, and I'm happy I could be of help!
Nice knife, love the name. Charles "The Hammer" Martel would approve!
It really is a pretty nice knife, and I, too, like the name a lot. Just thinking about what an even larger Crusader would called, if one were made in the future ...
Ordered one for my birthday. Be here monday...
Awesome, Brian! I'm sure you'll like it a lot!
Nice, complete review..thank you!

Just ordered a black and red micarta yesterday. These are selling fast and almost all gone already
Awesome! Yes, this model will probably be out of stock in less than a week or so.
I'm hoping to get mine by Saturday:)
Have you gotten it yet? If yes, what do you think about it?
Nope, hoping for Monday now:)
Hello would you like to sell the black handle one...? Thank you in advance!

It'll be available in a few hours. :)
Thank you, very much my friend👍👏
I like it. Unfortunately I'll have to wait several weeks until I can hold my DIW/brass hardware Crusader in Hands...

Are you going to do a review of this knife soon? 😄

Is the Crusader a new blade design? Very good design.
Yes, it's (partially, at least) a new design. I like it a lot, although there could maybe be some room for improvement.
Awesome video bro. See you in the facebook group. 🤘
Beautiful blades, I don’t like the pink handle scales though.
Would you choose the crusader or the jx5 for chopping?

Hello... would you want to sell one of the Crusaders..?
Crusader or robos mk9-b?
Where does each excel?
Your thoughts?
The sheaths are made by Bark River. Matt's wife designed the sheath. She does not make them for Bark River.
Yes, you're right about that.
Здравствуйте оставьте пожалуйста ссылку на эти замечательные ножи. С уважением.
Nice
What gloves are u wearing???
Why would anyone choose pink handles for a knife.
It's a very visible color, and few people will steal a pink knife.
@@PinkG10 I think it's a really cool unique colour to use. Certainly makes it your own.
GaaaaaaaaaaaaaYuh
Like your videos man really good job were you from by the way? Im from USA east coast Pennsylvania
Thank you! You'll find me in the forests of Sweden. ;)
