Very easy to feel at home and comfortable following you and "Bushy" arond. You two are living the life I wished for 40+ years ago but was afraid to take the leap. Just conventional old me now but 20 years ago I met a lady quite like you in spirit. What a long strange and fantastic trip she has made it. 'Nother story there though... Ross

I'm becoming a fan of Bark River and after watching these last two videos. The main reason I think is because I love a convex grind. Thanks so much for sharing!

Brooke, you are going to love that knife! I hope we get to see it put through its paces. So long as you have a couple good strops with different grit compounds, it's easy with a little practice keeping it razor sharp. If it gets really dull or damaged, get a mixed grit pack of wet dry sandpaper (auto body supplies), and lay the paper on top of the strop. It has the same give as the strop and you use the same motion. When it looks as well used as your condor, you can send it to the Bark River spa and have them bring it back to as-new too!

Beautiful knife Brooke. The reason the Ultra-Lite Hunter 1 & 2 are so light is because they are not full tang blades. The classic Drop Point Hunter with Ivory scales that you also liked is a full tang blade and you probably noticed it was heavier

Beautiful knife Brooke. You can't go wrong with a Bark River. Yes you pay a big price, but if taken care of, it will last a lifetime, and the warranty is bar none the best you can find. They will fix or replace it no matter how you break it, and you can even send it in for a free "spa treatment" if it just needs cleaned, polished, and sharpened. I own a few of them, and wouldn't part with them for anything. You will enjoy it..no doubt in my mind. Be careful though..the A2 steel is great..very tough, but it will rust if you don't take care of it. It's not a stainless. Treat it like any high carbon steel and you'll be fine. It is pretty tough stuff other than that.
I look forward to seeing in use in future videos!

Nice Video and you got a beautiful Bark River knife!
Today I ordered my Donnybrook and I own several others. My favorite for bushcraft tasks is the Aurora.
But all Bark Rivers perform very well, I simply love them and the Stewart´s are very friendly people which I like to support.
Knifes ship free is also a great partner and I was sad so sad when I heared the news, that Dereck passed away. Why have to good ones always have to go first?

Don't be ashamed of your knife, the other knives are jealous. Your knife has done its job well, and lived to tell the tale. A little steel wool, some light machine oil and some sweat will give you a Priceless companion. while the Bark River sits pretty, the Condor will continue to be the knife you go to and fondly remember.

Beautiful knife Brooke, I'm sure it will serve you well. I think you'll be surprised how long it will stay sharp compared to your old one. Get yourself a strop if you don't have one.
Don't let it rust! It'll get a nice patina but watch out for the icky red/brown stuff. Mineral oil is good to use on it if you'll be using it to prepare food in the woods. Also, don't store it in the leather sheath for more than a day or two, that will promote rust.
