Being an ex air defense gunner, I'm pretty impressed with the accuracy of the apple cannon gunners.
They fly very fast, and it’s relatively short range.

It does not surprise me that the Simple Scout stayed up so long. Mine is about two and a half years old now, with more flights than I'd care to guess, and she still flies beautifully.

Surprising how much those planes can take. Great piloting, guys!
Looks like so much fun! Next time (next year?) consider adding powdered chalk packets in two colors. Simply take chalk, crush it up and use cling wrap or tissue paper to make a packet. Place the packet under the apple and the air pressure will open it when fired. The smoke trails from the apples will look awesome!

Wouldn't work how you're imagining it, there'd just be a colorful puff of dust at the barrel.
@@skrimper Perhaps. Then again the area of low pressure immediately behind the apple as it moves through the air would create a "vacuum" effect strong enough to pull some of the chalk dust along. When I was a kid, I worked at a vegetable stand and would take home boxes of rotten oranges. Why? Because when my friends and I threw them at cars (bad, bad kid), they would leave a green (mold) trail as they flew through the air. And. A large green cloud upon impact.

This was great! I'd love to see this being turned into a competition. Like, ten RC planes and 2 apple cannons per team, opposite sides on a field and the planes have to drop little bombs on a designated area on the other player's base. Let it go on a time limit or as long as there are planes which can fly.

Oh! Is that why? I had noticed the change but couldn’t make a concret link between who left and the drop in enjoyability. Not to say that I don’t like what there doing but I just liked it a little more before! Keep it up ft! (I’m sure it’ll get even better: I’ve noticed an increase recently in quality)

It would be my dream to come out there and have some fun with rc planes with you guys. I've been watching you guys since I've been 11. Which is crazy to me I'm 19 now and it litterally feels like a lifetime. I've always loved playing with rc planes and helicopters
