The next logical step is a whole aerial battle: A bomber has a mission to drop ordnance on a certain target, the defending fighters have to take it down, but the bomber has one or two fighters to protect it , too. If the bomber is defeated before it can drop its bomb(s), the defenders win. If the bomber misses its target by a lot, the defenders win. But if the bombs hit the target, the attackers win, no matter what happens to any of the planes
It's crazy difficult in a real bomber to hit the target let alone an R/C one. The "in a pickle barrel" Norden Bombsight, only 10% of bombs dropped with it landed within a mile of the target. That's why they used carpet bombing.
@@muskokamike127 so have multiple bombers, coming in waves (like 3 bombers at a time). And between waves change batteries. At the same time have 2-3 bombs on a Bomber and if he misses one he can try again but at the risk of being shot down. There are some holes but it’s possible !!
Thank you for your service. I am currently in the NC Wing of the Civil Air Patrol, and all I wish to do is help save and protect the citizens of this great country.
I wish they would have something telling the hit motor to stop spinning, or make a control surface get stuck in it's position until the pilot hits a surrender switch to bring it back in one piece. It would only require a tiny PCB and would give real damage to flying characteristics. Then when the battle ends, you can just reset everything to land normally. Same for the fighters, just disable control surfaces once hit.
@@yuxuanhuang3523 too much risk for crashing involved in something like that. I think they did it the right way honestly, I just wish they had the smaller planes loaded with explosives if they got hit.
I think the first episode was when they featured the bixler and I promptly went out and bought one. I crashed it so many times and repaired it, it would no longer stay aloft so I bought another barebones and transferred all the electrics to it. Still have it. 10 years maybe? 9? something like that.
Absolutely amazing! You guys are amazing. My Dad's B17 was blown out of the sky on their fourth mission over Germany. With the craft in flt spin apparently an AA round detonated the bomb in the bombay. My Dad was one of three to survive all whom spent the remaining months of the war as POWs. Dad would later spend many hours and missions as a crew chief in B 29s. He would have gotten a kick out of your creations. Thank you, God bless!
What an amazing flight! The B-17 looks so real right down to the exhaust streak on the engine cowlings and to have actual functioning turrets just adds to the realism! You guys have seriously outdone yourselves in this Plane, too bad the Messerschmidt crashed and broke up it would have been seriously cool to have footage of the two German fighters attacking the B-17, but when the engines started smoking....that was just so cool looking, as if we were actually following behind a Bomber taking damage! VERY COOL GUYS! I wish I lived in your area, I would so be a part of your community events! God Bless and I look forward to your next video!!!!
I love these things. One thing I would like to see more of is the big planes like the B17 being filmed from the ground on takeoff and landing. They look so much more realistic that way rather than having a camera on the tail or the wing. I like to see them taxi out to the hot spot to run up the engines. Then hit full throttle down the runway and gradually lift off like a fully loaded war bird. Then they do a bank to circle and form up. All of that looks so much more realistic when filmed from the ground. The other little cameras mounted on the aircraft are fine when airborne. They are good for filming the ground scene and really good for filming approaching hostile aircraft. Love these videos. I was a paratrooper for 9 years and have lots of jumps from C119, C123, C124 and C-130 aircraft as well as the HU1B. So, I've spent a lot of time 'chuted up and sitting alongside runways watching aircraft take off and land. It never got old with me.
the one on the tail doesn't bother me because that's where a lot of games put the virtual camera. I would like to see more camera mounted in the cockpit so it it's a "pilot's eye view"...
I love that you showed your pilot error on takeoff the other day.. I had my new P 51, checked didn't catch the reversed elevator, caught the aileron.. I'm having my wife remind me now lol. This is pretty much your coolest video Flite Test. Seeing the smoke coming from the wing like that was so cool
The best hobby in the world !!!
What a beautiful plane. And so iconic. The life experience s and life stories that were had in this plane..
Moon landing next July??? Awesome Josh and crew !
Me too watching the other Josh learning to fly and all the good beginners tips. Thanks Flite test 👍 if I didn't live thousands of miles away I would visit 👍👍☺️
Very cool, rite before the Boeing B17 landing, I only seen 3 smoke trails , look at video.
How about 20' A10 Warthog with a couple attack fighter jets but same thing with smoke on A10 ,or a couple tanks shooting down the A10 & the A10 laser bomb the tanks??
Incredible. You all amaze me. Keep the passion going!
That B17 trailing smoke was amazing.
