Yep I agree totally Rick. I have had an f-7 3 wood in my bag for almost 3 years also. It is the best 3 wood I have ever hit. I use it off the tee, for long second shots and I have even chipped with it a couple of times. Mine is in the bag for another season also.
I love my Exotics 3 wood. I have had it as long as you've had Ole Bluey. Thanks for leaving that topped shot in, though. If I miss the 3 wood, it is for that reason.
When I think of Tour Edge I think of clubs you see at Wal Mart Big 5 sporting goods. 15 years ago thats where you would of seen them. I guess they have moved up and made better quality clubs
Rick, I have been playing Tour Edge Exotics fairways and hybrids for at least 8 to 10 years, and I am so impressed that I became a Tour Edge Fitter/Dealer about three years ago (after a lot of questioning and a thorough qualification process by Tour Edge Golf). I just put the 16.5* Exotics EXS 220 high-lofted 3-wood (or 4-wood, if you prefer) in my bag a couple of months ago, and so far I like it a lot. I’m not sure whether you are aware of this, but the Exotics fairways and hybrids have been in the bags of more than 50 top ten finishers on the PGA Tour Champions (a/k/a the Senior Tour) over the last three years, and Scott McCarron won several tournaments and the 2019 Charles Schwab Cup using Tour Edge clubs, primarily the fairway and hybrid clubs. This brand has also recently begun getting a bit of traction on the regular PGA Tour, with two top tens in the current 2019-2020 season. Most of the Tour Edge staff players have been using the “better-player” CBX line of clubs, but a few of them, including Tom Lehman and Duffy Waldorf, have switched to the EXS 220 clubs in 2020. In fact, Lehman won the first event on the Champions Tour in early 2020 after putting two EXS 220 clubs in his bag that week. The EXS 220 driver has also found its way into the bags of a few of the Tour Edge players on the senior tour. I know that this is sounding like an advertisement for Tour Edge Golf, so I will stop now, but I think that the Tour Edge Exotics line of golf clubs represent not only a great bargain, but also some excellent-performing clubs.
Good to see a review of Tour Edge, I am a high handicapper, went from shooting over 100 to the low 90’s last year. My first set of new clubs are Tour Edge HL3. I was able to get a full set of Driver, fairway woods, irons and bag for $1100.00. I believe that for the cost, they are good clubs.
Hi Rick, thanks for leaving in the first 2 shots!! It would have been so easy to edit that out - this is why you have 3/4 of a million subscribers, you are an honest reviewer and we enjoy and rely on your frank opinion, Thank you.
srooch2 Maybe Rick could get one for a second hand challenge. Got a 13.5 for $50 in good shape and a 17.5 5 wood new for $55 on the Bay. I need help in the top part of the bag and large fairways look way crazy to me. Got on with some XRail fairways about 5 years back.
Finally subscribed. I have always loved the vids. If I were you Rick, I wouldn't even talk about replacing Old Bluey for fear it gets upset and stops performing. Those were great shots at the end. Four out of five on the green from 260 is amazing golf.

I've gone through a few 3 woods. First was my cheap package set one. Then I had a Big Bertha (BB) Steelhead III that I didn't like, I used the 4 Wood from the same series, and then I settled on the BB Diablo 15N. Experimentation was key and it was great. I finally got my hands on the Bertha Mini in 14 degrees and I hit it off the deck like a dream. It's definitely my new "3" wood. (Still gotta find the 12 degree.)
Hey Rick, Just wanted to thank you (and Peter Finch) for helping me fall back in love with the game! I haven't played in about 5 years and after finding your channel I am now back at the range and hitting the course when I can. Even tried out a few new drivers yesterday! Cheers, Sam
I've always been a big fan of Tour Edge woods. Similar to you have had a hard time replacing my 3-wood I've had the same Tour Edge Lift Off 3-wood since about 2004 and haven't found a replacement i love.
Found a Cobra F7 3/4 Wood on Ebay and bought it. Got it... re-gripped it and set it to 16 degrees.... I played with it today and it performed flawlessly. So solid. Old blackey will be staying in my bag.
Great video as always. I've been contemplating getting a new 3W to replace my TM V Steel but I'm so reluctant because I'm still hitting it fairly well. I also golf on a budget and buy all my clubs 2nd hand so testing and fitting isn't an available option for me most of the time. I am intrigued with the new SIM FW since it mimicks my V Steel. As always more power to you and looking forward to more great videos.

@@brentninedorf6617 That stick was fire!
srooch2 Maybe Rick could get one for a second hand challenge.
4:31 This is why everyone needs to edit their UA-cam videos LOL.
Entertaining and informative! I’m glad I found your channel. Sadly, it seems my golfing days are behind me because of an infirmity but I really enjoy golf, especially you. Great swing!
Why no “hit the green” test for the tour edge ?
Great vid. I just bought the f9 3W and love it!
Bonus part about the tour edge clubs is life time warranty
I play the tour edge CB4 15 degree with the Oban purple x flex it’s about 8 years old and it is a beast so I can relate to old blue it’s all about your confidence when your over the ball stay with what works great video
Our good friend Danielson loves the adjustable head wont be in his bag 🤣
Plus he can't hit a golf club to save his life lad 😂😂😂
@@bewlstonraider9377 🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@golfingbandits3393 In fact, first couple of shots where he totally duffs them might as well be Dan 😂😂
@@bewlstonraider9377 this 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I have an exotics EX 10beta 3 wood in my bag and I love it! Feels good, sounds good and hits well in my opinion
What about trying a F9 or soeedzone 3 wood against old bluey
even the f8. same rails design but a more classic black and grey look
Not the same sound. Love the f7 but hate the f8. Never hit the f9. Performance is level but for me sound matters 😁 cheers guys
Your definition of an “old golf club” isn’t forgiving enough. Your clubs are brand new by just about any metric.
Hey Rick,
Just wanted to thank you (and Peter Finch) for helping me fall back in love with the game! I haven't played in about 5 years and after finding your channel I am now back at the range and hitting the course when I can. Even tried out a few new drivers yesterday!
Cheers,
Sam
Not old bluey
Those Cobra rails are absolutely brilliant ... love Cobra fairway woods
You’re like a little kid with a shiny toy. Play with it for 5 minutes and then go on to something else
Haha yep
