THANK YOU! I just got my Cricut and knowing exactly what mats and blades to use for what material is hard to figure out. You taught me three things I wanted to know in one video. That’s a lot. ♥️
I wish you had tried more like acrylic sheets ,they say it can cut up to 3mm I think ,that would be so cool if it's true
Hi there, love the video, the fine point i want is put of stock, is it ok to cut adhesive vinyl cause i make crafts
Yes it is 🤍
Can you use this blade with the regular housing from the fine point blade?
Hey Lindsey, no not at all.
Great video thank you! I've had no luck cutting a stencil on 10mil mylar and was hoping the deep cut blade would do the job however... None of the material options ask for that blade and it definitely does not cut with the fine point blade so... I inserted the deep point blade and used the foil acetate option with more pressure and... It took at least 4 double passes to cut and it also cut into the mat. I can't reach their support chat line, maybe you have some experience or advice on this? Thanks in advance ;-)
10mm Mylar? That seems really thick, perhaps why it was struggling to cut through. I wouldn’t load very thick materials into the machine, it’s a sure fire way to make your blades blunt very quickly. I would recommend Sticking to 4mm Mylar…
Thanks! 4mm is way too thin, 10mm is standard for commercial stencils (the good quality ones) and I read the cricut can do that. It can do chipboard and much thicker materials so this should actually not be a problem but I’ve not found which settings are best… 🤔
I’m using the maker 3 btw!
@MimiBondi okay cool! I’ve never cut Mylar or even felt the material so not too sure… it just seems 10mm is thick 🤔 thanks for sharing!
It’s 10mil not 10mm lol 10mil is about 0.25mm 😊
How will it work with thick siicone sheets for cut-out lettering?
You’d have to test it yourself…
I dont know why cameo cant manage to do this with its carriage 2 kraft blade. The smart cut feature isn't so smart.
Can this cut words on a mat board?
I’m not sure, you’ll have to try.
Can I use the same deep blade for maker 3 and explorer??
Yes 🙌🏻
HELLO
ANYONE KNEWS WHY MY CRICUT MACHINE DOESNT RECOGNIZE THE DEEP POINT BLADE
I CHECKD ONLINE MORE PPL HAVING THIS ISSUE

That’s weird, maybe contact Cricut member/customer care?
