Recently my brother posted a throwback photo of my family for Mother’s Day but we were a lot younger and I looked “not good” I wanted to call him out on posting an unflattering photo of me but I paused, realized that the main intent was to celebrate my mum and not me and that my insecurities where slightly taking over and if anyone felt I was ugly or anything after viewing that picture that’s their problem.
My goodness. Ladies. The first time I listened to one of your videos, in the first ten minutes I was blown away by how beautifully you answered a dilemna. This episode is amazing and so full of wisdom because I think that's what I have been learning. The mind is such a powerful thing!

Nah, that first story had me in the first half. But then that context was not needed. We KNOW when someone looks good or doesn't look good in a photo. I'm guessing friend one is ready for the pic and friend two was caught by surprise lol. The friend clearly feels away about friend 2. Cause if someone told me that, I'd be like "Oh I'm sorry I'll take it down right now"
Came from the podcast to recommend alternatives to gels for Renee, gummy bears and fruit snacks work just as well. There my go to for long runs! Gels are gross
I hear yall but I also think she didn’t jump to anything . She gave yall context just as she stated . She said on multiple occasions her friend has made statements about light skin women. I think she’s well within her rights to recall these statements now that this has come up. I can’t say I agree we’re too old to go down memory lane and she also said she’s posted it twice before! Her friends reaction is literally left field how it sounds if I’ve posted it twice before why you didn’t say it before? This year it’s a problem? I think she should talk to her “friend” to clear the air but I also don’t think she’s reading too far into anything sounds like her friend is allowing herself and other people to have her ear.

We believe that connecting the comments on colourism, especially as her friend hadn't said anything about this affecting their own friendship and how she perceives her, might be a bit of a reach. We definitely understand that her friend may definitely be doing too much, but really both parties should allow the benefit of the doubt in a thorough and direct conversation. ✨ ❤
@@tomysisters I just feel like if I was a light skin and my friend said men only like light skin because of their skin and whatever the other comment was I’d be concerned. But also she probably should’ve addressed that long ago 🥴so I can see why yall are like let’s not necessarily connect these two occurrences! I agree they need to give each other the benefit of the doubt! I also agree with yall maybe this doesn’t have to be the reason the friendship ends. A conversation should definitely be had to try and resolve the feelings and move forward. If a break or space is needed that’s okay too. Whatever is best for both parties!!
