On the "pull up the receipts line" the bible actually highlights this aspect in David's story. When he stood before king Saul and his ability was under question he said "I killed a lion and a bear by the help of the lord therefore the lord will surely deliver this uncircumcised philistine into thine hand".
    Pull up the receipts 😊

This entire year is preparing me for My Confidence Era. A nice spark in my energy, that is calm and resolute in the knowing of my magic and my purpose. She's still building up, but into 2024 I know my confidence era will be the main character of my life.

I been listening/ walking your podcast for almost 2 years now. I love it. I am forcing myself to leave more comments lol.
I love this conversation. I feel like I heard it at the right point of my life. Sometimes I feel like I’m not getting things done. This episode reminds me to reflect on what I’ve actually done. Also, love how ya touched on having a lot more gratitude because that’s something I’ve been working on daily. At the end of each day I write 3 things I’m grateful for.

Only part way through the episode and thank you again for always providing great content - cannot wait for the live show.
Just wanted to comment about sis in the dilemma.
I am so disappointed that this is like the third (?) from my memory time a dilemma has involved a romantic partner ridiculing a their partners weight in a non constructive way. Let’s call a spade a spade, sis’ husband is emotionally abusive.
    1. Ridiculing your partners weight
    2. Restrictions on compliments and kind words
    3. Envy of progress and confidence
This is so awful to keep hearing and we need to dissect why we think this is even remotely okay.
Being alone is not something to be scared of. Romantic partners are meant to journey through life with you loving every version of you along the way, not contribute to your body dysmorphia.
I pray sis understands the severity of this and knows she has more than enough strength to move on

Regarding the dilemma, I'm somewhere in the middle. I agree that your health journey should be for you first. If you go by outside forces, what happens when that goes away or takes a negative turn? Doing it for you makes it easier to be consistent with diet and exercise because you resolve in your mind, regardless of how you feel, to meal prep and schedule physical activity. Incorporate it into your life and you'll be healthier for it. If your way of dealing with stress is eating fast/junk food and not moving on an ongoing basis, that can be a problem that'll continually come up because it's a pattern of behavior. If you've been doing it for years, it won't be easy to break and will take time. More than losing the weight, it's about breaking the habit. If her husband approached her in this way, perhaps it'd come across as more supportive. The suggestion of exercising together/cooking together may also provide support and closeness. When you marry someone, it should come with the understanding that your spouse may stay who they are and continue down the path they're on. If the person I was seeing was overweight or inconsistent with (fill in the blank) I wouldn't expect that to change after marriage. This is why addressing as many concerns as possible in the courtship phase is important. Idk the details of the couple's interactions, but you shouldn't be comparing your spouse other women esp not younger females or heaven forbid IG models or the like. That is an unrealistic expectation and disrespectful. It's not healthy to compare n think the grass is greener elsewhere. Nurture the relationship you have. With that, the wife mentioned having her own insecurities and yoyoing in weight a few times. While being within a few pounds of a base weight is normal for everyone, continually gaining a significant amount of weight throughout life is not normal or healthy. Again consistency matters. While the husband's wandering eye or harsh criticism isn't right, it is important to take care of yourself for you AND your spouse. They're the one who sleeps with you til death do you part, so nurture that attraction instead of looking outside the marriage for it. Just as she wants him to be consistent in certain ways, she has to do the same for him. And try to be aware if there are moments where she projects any of her insecurities onto her husband. I agree that a counselor could help them parse through these issues.

Wow this is the video I needed to see :') I been on my fitness journey since February/March. In the beginning I felt like I didn't do any progress in the gym. However, I just continue doing my thing and not think about "losing weight". Instead, I just decided to think about the positive which is that I am finally being active and not being a lazy potato LMAO. But nah I see progress in my body and I must say I am proud of myself. Its all about being consistent but also having a positive mindset no matter the outcome. Just go with the flow and embrace your seasons just like Courtney said :)
