Hey man you can actually clutch kick semiautomatics, just push the lever to get into gear but keep it pushed, then you can rev the engine and let go of the shifter. Keeping the lever pushed keeps the centrifugal clutch disengaged.
Fun fact. you can still "clutch kick" with these semi autos. just hold it up in gear and it will hold N and let you free rev. almost perfect for a kart when you thick about it. just hold to free rev in any gear.
My gosh! Your right that looks so much better than the 125 motor and I know that semi autos rip the crud out of the road so this will definitely shift. I can’t wait to see this blow all expectations out of the water.
I believe that when you're selecting gears with these motors they have neutral in-between gears so say you hold your gear lever rather than just pulling and releasing straight away you should be able to use that as a clutch if ever needed

Hey man! Love the build I got a 200cc quad i turboed it’s carb still! If you want more boost you need to make a air capacitor tank before the intake, 2&4 strokes gotta have it for boost gotta make the tank 3-10x the cc of the motor for instance I built a 600+cc tank for mine! I got a gt1446 turbo on mine now 😅
Another thing to remember is a new head and top end for the blown engine will only cost a few bucks. Well worth fixing and having as a spare. Turbos tend to break stuff as you well know....
Love this kart build and the new motor looks fantastic. One thing i would consider is valve spring upgrades to stop the valves floating and breaking. Good luck My brother.

When you blew up your last motor it might be due to valve float. This happens when you turbo or upgrade your engine and at a high rpm’s the valves stay open instead of closing. So when you do stuff to the engine I highly recommend to put heavier valve springs. And by doing this it will make it faster too.
Great video as always. You could drop the plastic body of a ride on car on to the kart. I'm thinking a lambo body. Big Scamborghini and a little Scamborghini.

That’s what I’ve been saying this whole time! The Kawasaki style head flows way better and makes more power. Or better yet a zongshen 190 or Daytona 190 would have been sick on this thing turbo charged
These little engines love to have floating valves around 8k RPM. Make sure to stay below that or get stronger valve springs. This is what killed your last engine.

I'm not sure what brand the engine is that you bought now, but i would recommend listening very closely to when it starts to float since it is noticable in performance and you can hear it pretty well. Not sure under boost, though. Since these engines are quite cheap i would just let it rip!
You should do a tuning video for this ecu I just bought the same kit and there's not a single video out on how to tune with it. Can you hook a wideband up to it anyway because in the instructions it says wideband is not available and I hear tuning by narrowband can be tricky.
It's exactly the same engine just a bigger head and piston so therefore you're probably gonna have the same problem unless you replace that piston with a better one

It really dosnt matter what you do to these engine they won’t last long with a turbo these engines are one hit wonders but alsome for kids to work on to learn how engines work but I had a clone Honda 50cc and Honda 50cc and they both look the same other then the clone looks like it was pull out of a mould and put together without prep work and some parts felt lighter then the real Honda and the clone Caby are rubbish
I feel like you should just scrap the frame and build your own. The original frame is beginning to look very tacky against all the new parts. I know it's meant to be a "budget" build but I think we are part that now haha
I am building mine from a miniquad, but mine is electric, it does not reach so much speed but it has a lot of acceleration, economical VEVOR engine and 48V battery I still need the saddle to arrive,🤔 I will assemble a small video when it is finished and we will test if it works, then I will disassemble it completely to create a stunt kart type drift kart 😍😍Your project has been perfect as inspiration and I hope to be able to bring some video to the platform so that the chain does not break
@@DustySteel it's bc the compression is way too high for these smaller China motors it's just better safe than sorry to decrease the compression a bit as the turbo will make up for the slight loss of compression as these ones usually a 9:1 compression ratio and the ideal amount is like 7 or even 6:1 compression ratio

A Z22 cam has more lift and duration than stock, would probably be good for boost! For 30 bucks it's worth checking out mike

A thick copper gasket could be made pretty easily. Why a lower compression though? People run boost on high compression motors as well.

I used to do this on a old pit bike I had with a 3 speed semi auto. There's a sweet spot in-between gears.
Add a small bullbar in front of the intercooler!

Put bigger carburetor and Adjust timings and valves, and put in new oil
its a efi so it has throttle body, not a carburetor engine

Deffo needs oil cooler get something larger for increased capacity and flow it through the turbo properly 👌😅🫡
