There is not longer an Overton window. The internet has fractured it. Maybe back in the days when everyone watched the same TV programs we shared a culture. Now everyone is in their bubble and the Overton window has fractured into factions.

Outstanding observation. Which is why years of "Imagine if conservatives said/did ... " had no impact at all.

Wonderful discussion. I particularly loved the conclusions about creating meaning into your life through thinking more long term in terms of what you give and leave for your family, your country or whatever contribution however small you can make to the world. With regards to the internet and how to use it I can certainly see the tension that could go on between just getting your message across and wanting to build your channel and get views. I love your channel Benjamin ,though often the guests you have on are far more articulate than myself.( as are you of course!) I've watched many of your videos in particular those around the current trans issue and I actually clicked on this one because you used the word "dilation" in the title and I wondered at first if it was about trans issues. Having tuned in I was hooked pretty well straightaway into the discussion between yourself and J. Burden. It does relate to what you said though. I guess you have to come up with engaging titles to draw people in. I think some channels definately sell out and I just stop watching them when I can see they are just about views and are not authentic. Your own channel is very authentic and I believe there will always be an audience for serious discussions like this; so regarding J. Burden I guess it's a case of doing your own thing and building your networks which he is doing . I've noticed that creators that I have watched individually tend to link up with other creators who I have watched individually and the same with their audiences .So with J. Burden I would suggest he is headed along the right lines, because networks do build via the internet and personal meetings do happen ( look at your involvement with the Genspect project which was just amazing and I think made a powerful impact which is all helping the slow tide towards hopefully positive change). I don't see the internet and personal being exclusive at all. The internet just helps you reach a wider audience and vice-versa. Once again thanks Benjamin. You cover such a wide variety of topics and I always find the discussions really worthwhile and relevant to myself .

I thought you guys missed an opportunity when talking about why Power has aligned itself with wokeness to talk about demoralization. You watch all these things they do that seemingly don't increase their power in the short term an wonder why? The point is to break the will of those who would oppose it. Those in Power have really become obsessed with the Chinese model and they are taking pages out of the Maoist playbook. This is textbook demoralization of the population. Once we are beaten down enough, they subvert all our constitutional rights and truly consolidate their Power.

I appreciate this back and forth hash of ideas.
I must add that, to me, a higher insight and practice into the human internal connection to a deeper meaning connected to basic social dynamics, encompassed in life's energies, must become the organizing civilizational principle of consciousness.
Plus and minus IS at the center of all. Negative, positive, male, female as source of all understanding in all of it's stages of concept, analysis and internal awareness, forms the path within the infinite combination of color, frequency, energy and as result, choices.
There is a Unity in all and however one internalizes God, the Un-Nameable, Un-Knowable, Un-Speakable, there is a basic human connection encompassed in the spectrum from belief to disbelief.
Long view and patience...Plus internal allegiance to Man, Know thy Self.

I think when trying to re-establish society's orientation to it's most authentic values (which is one of the reassuring, reoccurring themes of the liberal project), overt authoritarianism (national flags) are not to be trusted.
Whereas revolutionary rallying points (pride flag) is a means of holding open 'the wound' until something that can sustain life/society can arise from the wound/wreckage.
What usually happens is a reversion to clannish mediæval feudalism.
Clans enable people room to cogitate and trial ideas on the down low knowing their clan will protect them from those in clans that might otherwise oppress them.
    Blood is thicker than water.

I dont know if BB argument at 10:05 holds about it being about men being this way or that way and he may be mistaking the ship for the shore. Its not about identity and category so much as resource deployment and capability, people want to be x, y, or z do they provide this for themself or do they take from the commons and how do we determine they have sufficient capability, wisdom/foresighr, to do so with the risk they may be irreversibly wrong. How do you protect your resources now and in the future and what is a good steward for an other's future resource (how to be "my brother's keeper" and not their prison guard, neglector, or thief)?
Identity at a personal level is moot to a degree and just vocabulary proxies, relationships and application at an interpersonal level is the grammer of the argument

Hmm, never heard of them; seems new-ish, accelerationist-ish...
Interesting title, as someone else commented... which envisions a different effect that what people usually assert. So maybe closer to what I was about to comment than before thinking about that.
That is... I'd probably be in arguing in some regard to shattering it as I'm usually on about the "left/right" scheme is nonsense, therefore such a phenomenon is an observation of effect within that orchestration. However, that probably ain't really possible, and what do I know anyways~~
Though... perhaps can get it wide enough to ride that tiger right on into. 🍑🐅

We are at a turning point, but it really has nothing to do with racial disparity. I am more concerned with the Queer theory aspect of this movement and especially our current administration, especially since the titular leader and his vice president are obviously impaired.
Pushing the gender issue so strongly is impacting the futures of our children and the motives for it are certainly murky. If this is being done advanced as a form of eugenics by wealthy elites who think they can design society…I say *NO!*
If it’s about money and power I say *NO!*
    *N O !*
And don’t f*cking tell me it’s about climate. I have worked most of my life outside closely tied to nature. Mother Nature will always find her new level. The earth is just fine. Especially if we stopped waging wars.

I forgot to contend on this point. The claim that all this shades of grey sexuality and child mind indoctrination being conducted by such a miniscule minority of the human population is by far a delve into the ridiculous. The bigger picture, as James Lindsey has so eloquently presented, is being spun through these declared neutralizations' of a millennia constant here in America.
The principles involved in the +/-, Male female indelible adherence are baked in the cake of life and are being adversely applied by delusions of borg/ant/hive minded goofballs who have been hard at undermining the foundations of our divinely inspired Constitutionally limited democratic republic. Carved in the granite of our foundational base, WETHEPEOPLE must honor the massive past human blood letting which got US here. Freedom, Liberty and Individual Sovereignty are the cornerstone's of this 7,000+ years maturation.

I really wanted to like this guest, but after listening to many hundreds of podcasts since around 2017 on all manner of alternate political views - I find it bothersome at this point when someone presents over 90% descriptive information (particularly when they use many questionable analogies and finishes every other point with "right?") and very little prescriptive information. Count me as one of the many who recognized long ago that what we have is not working, that it is designed and directed against us and who now wants to hear about concrete solutions and not hours and hours of "hey, wow! we got to where we are now within the Liberal Enlightenment experiment, let me describe to you how it sucks" - enough. Let's go. Let's figure moves to defeat our would be oppressors, whomever they may be (Left or Right) and let's get the F on with it. Love ya Ben, but this guy just seems to talk in circles.

it's not that the state HAS a "state-religion" it's that the state IS a religion, you know when you salute the flag? that's you worshiping the god called United States, it's the same action as christians praying before the cross or pagans sacrificing a goat to zeus. remember, where does a republic come from? from Rome, and Rome was a religion, an ancestor worship cult, that worshiped Romulus.
