Crazy looking TWR Jaguar resto mod guys ! And with the monster V12 engine is crazy cool ! And it sounds so good in this video i can't imagine what it would sound like in person !
Lister has got a strong following. And so does TWR. But this.. not so sure. With so many restomods being done, some are really sweet, maybe 90% of them not so. Listers were wild, and in period supercars.
I love this! Had a 3.6 XJS in Signal red with the TWR kit on years ago and I loved it, it was so cool! So seeing the TWR name return with this beautiful beast has made my day!

the car thats on track looks better than then the finished studio car. all they needed to do was widen the wheelbase and widen the wheel arches to make look good
I really like it except for the headlights and that front splitter. Remove the splitter and make some proper headlights (instead of what looks like some generic Amazon LED lights) and the front would look so much better!
Yeah not not only is this just a rebuild (an epic restomod at that) I think that notion comes from the fact that they’ve all but disappeared on mass produced vehicles. Sure the multi-million dollar bespoke builds and niche low volume manufacturers will still be able to as they don’t have to adhere to any of the more stringent regulations that large OEMs do but for the mortals among us they’ve gone.
@@ALMX5DP Okay, first of all, why does a mass-production car need a V12? Secondly, what advantages does a V12 have over today's performance V6s and V8s?
My father had a XJS V12 in the 80s and I still remember that wonderful V12 noise. They always sounded amazing so this is no surprise. What a wonderful car from TWR! If anyone can make a fast Jag its them with all their work on racing stuff.
He is casually introducing Khyzyl Saleem as an Instagram designer, having in mind that he is the mastermind of his brand LTO and their bodykits 😂 love the work and the new car!
I was never a fan of the quad round sealed beam headlights, so I would have preferred a new take on the composite units, but holy f this thing is a beast! The footage of the prototype sliding around a circuit is some of the best TG footage ever, and that's really saying something
They should take it out to the 6ltrs that TWR helped introduce in the Jaguar XJSs later years, it would add a little more power and a nice touch more torque. Either way this is STUNNING and looks proper gangster! TWR even took the V12 out to 7ltrs AND I think I heard they even developed 4 valve per cylinder heads for a lovely 48 valve V12.
TWR were true legends in motorsport but even helping create or better existing Jaguar models. Racing XJSs, the XJR9, XJR 15, XJ220, XJ220S (a tuned 680bhp TWR special that had all that extra power AND was over 100kg lighter!)
This is just a bit too much mod and not enough resto for me. Definitely approve of everything under the bonnet, but some of the bodywork has a bit of 'Halfords' about it. Sometimes subtle is best.
Yeah, the overall design screams "young and modern"...which isn't necessarily a good thing. Looks like it was designed by a PlayStation generation (and it was).
For a more mainstream earner - a restomod XJC would be lovely. TWR's heroic 70s touring car efforts should be remembered - top qualifier at most races, seldom getting far beyond the first race lap is worth remembering. And the XJC was a gorgeous car
Over modern-ified classic cars aren't my cup of tea but I'm sure this must be incredible to drive. Well done to the team still. The Alfaholics GTA, gen 1 Singer Porsche and the Callam Aston Martin Vanquish's tasteful mods would still pass as orginals to a none car guy. And THAT is what appeals to me in Resto modding.
