The term “rick house” is believed to have originated from the Old English word “rick,” which means a stack or pile of things. Rickhouses are called so because they house stacked barrels of bourbon.
GAFFIGAN!!!😂😂
_Never gonna give you up_
Never gonna let you down
Never gonna run around and desert you...
_Never gonna make you cry_
_Never gonna say goodbye_
Never gonna tell a lie and hurt you.
This series has been alot of fun, but really interesting too. I am really enjoying learning about bourbon. Keep them coming.
Jim was supposed to be home days ago.
thanks for the 59 second long video
Awesome. Are you an investor? Is this you dipping your toes into the spirits realm where your fellow other sexy male celebrities (e.g., Clooney and Reynolds) dared to trod?
Let's assume, since we keep getting this advertisement.
All these Bourbon videos… Does Jim live at this place now?
It is good to laugh in this crazy world.
🎉🎉🎉
In Scotland, scotch was aged in dunnage warehouses, which can only hold three barrels high, and are built differently than racked warehouses. Some distillers have moved to using the rack house.. Rickhouse comes from rack house. I’ve been in Kentucky, but never noticed a distillery odor. In Scotland, you can smell the distilleries. Anyway… 😁
One origin story is that the building in which distiller’s stored their whisk(e)y barrels was called the king’s house. The Scotch/Irish word for king was “righ” which sounds like rick, so came the Americanization “rick house” in the South.
A guy thing Jim !! Really? What century are you in now? I had bourbon barreled beer. - that was awesome. I’m a light alcohol type person. 9% alcohol rose spritzers only becss as use j hsve no choice Becaise the way my body is snd ny lifestyle. But bourbon tastes great.
These are interesting enough but 30-some seconds without the intro/outro? Feels like you're stretching out this visit a bit.
ROTFLMFAO it’s my house!
I prefer my Bourbon Rick rolled.
