BPD Day 21 Sarah's Family Story

Sarah Lambert is a family member of a person with BPD and a therapeutic counsellor. Her sister’s journey with BPD was marked by many coping difficulties including interpersonal conflicts, chronic pain, self-harming behaviors, and substance use. This struggle was further exacerbated by the challenge to obtain professional help in public and private settings, including access to DBT services, counselling and psychiatry. Unfortunately, Becky was not able to get the help she needed and her story’s tragic ending is a serious reminder of the urgent need for support in the community, and the impact one person has on us all.
