Not a drop of hyperbole: Day For Night was a liferaft. I was slipping away in no new way.
So many beautiful tales in this comment. Betcha soaring Gordie hears 'em all.
    Rest in paradise, G-man.
    Pace e luce ✨️

This era is (to me)the peak of gord's artistry. He is comfortable enough on stage to ad lib throughout songs. His band is genius, in that they are always ready for gord's sneaking and twisting away from the melody laid out. Like Van Gogh, Downie's genius will be recognised late.

"Thank you" Tragically Hip for fund raising for Camp Trillium. My children enjoyed the camp for many years. Blessings and Grace are with you Gord, as you now are fighting your own battle with cancer. :( We love you and will never forget. ♥

He has the most awesome, random moments in concerts, LOL. The one I went to, he used his mic cord as a hammock and laid on it while he sang.

How in the world did this band not become modern day rock gods? Its just unbelievable considering all the crap produced these days.

Honestly, fuck. It's a crying shame. I have seen them 4 times now in the last three years.. Everytime, is an absolute head-rocking foot stomping fuck of a time. My favourite live band. Such a bloody good time.

The reason these guys aren't rock Gods is the music does NOTHING. Its doesn't push any boundaries. Its backround drivel. This music is what you'd hear while buying a Subaru or a pair of shoes. It is boring and his voice is awful. This is for people that don't like music as an art, they just like something in the backround. Art is suppose to push the envelope, your supposed to clear the room at the drop of a hat. If you don't, you're not doing art justice. Meaning, the music has to make you feel something. Most of their music is just BLAND, non threatening and safe. These guys pander to Canadians and jumped on the Canadian bandwagon because no one sang about Canadian history..... "If the music doesn't make you want to kill yourself or someone else it hasn't done its job" - Howard Stern

@@nbcviperlol wtf u talking about? They didn’t hop on a Canadian bandwagon, they are Canadian and therefore sung about Canadian places and things, just like rush. You miss the greatness of the hip

I haven't forgotten about that 'Ahead By A Century', just don't have the means to transfer video to laptop at the moment. I promise to get on it soon though, keep hope alive.

I often wonder what would Gord say about the state we are in. I think he'd loose patience and flush the 💩 already. ✌
