    Had the opportunity to drive the V40 T3 R-Design and V40 CC T4 as courtesy vehicles. I prefer the CC as it has a softer ride which I prefer in a Volvo. Yes the interior maybe a little bit dated but the build quality is superior to the German rivals. The V40 also comes standard with way more spec than the Germans including electric seats with memory function so the extra premium is justified. I must add that the V40 is by far the most solid hatchback I've driven, this car gives the driver an instant feel of confidence from the get go. This car is worth the price to be honest. Also you will notice the fuel consumption will drop once you journos start paying for your own fuel. Great review though.

    Good review Ciro hope u've got italian parents or grandparents. Well i'm italian and i own a v40 cc d4. Just a few errors here and there. Nope the v40 cc comes out without the skid plates and the airflow. You can mount 'em separately or come out with the styling kit. Same price. On your car you missed the double oval twin end pipes ... say - 30 km/h. With 6.9/100 km you need a bank to drive that car every day ... try it on elegance mode and u can reach a reasonable 4.9/100. I can understand why you would buy an XC60. The v40cc is made for young couples who want to drive fast here and there or just came out of troubles without splashing on some three; 0/100 5.2 secs same as the Cayenne. Who wants to go faster has to buy the T5. All in all the best v40 cc review ever viewed. Just another detail .... on your car you had the radar doppler .. the cams won't work with heavy rain or snow but the doppler will.
    Great work Ciro, keep it going :)

    Owned the 3.0 Polestar S60. I dreamt of the economy you complained of. Much prettier thatn this though. Smurf blue, 20" black wheels. Faster than any M or Amg to 100 in Jhb. In the wet, they don't know where you went

      Ahmed Moosaji I hear what you are say but give a few examples of JDM cars that are for sale in South Africa. I can think of the Toyota Gt86/Subaru BRZ, Subaru WRX/Sti and the Civic Type R. I love the suggestion but I can't think of many examples :)

      Bruce Lee true but cant they do reviews on the supra,rx 7 etc
      if they only doon brand new cars then the gtr
      infinity and lexus brands we hardly get those

    • @brucelee1987
      @brucelee1987 7 років тому

      Ahmed Moosaji Keep in mind, they only review new cars. So they won't review a Supra or Skyline or something from that era. They might be able to do a GTR but the Lexus cars and such wouldn't really be JDM tuner cars. They are just Japanese cars.

    Looking into a used V40 T4, so I stumbled across this review.
    There is absolutely no talk about the engine and specs... What is the displacement, horse power, torque, gearbox, etc.?.... Oh, but it has a nice boot and optional heated seats. SMH.

      Ok, compare the styling of this to any BMW car, or audi or mercedes or hyundai, or the new Volvo.... and then this looks like something from 2006

    • @matthew6190
      @matthew6190 7 років тому +1

      Yeah, it definitely isn't the most modern interior design but the build quality is exceptional - Right up there, if not better than the Germans.

    • @WinkelHoof
      @WinkelHoof 5 років тому

      Wiktor Kawala BMW 1-series interior is dark and boring and even older than the Volvo...
