    Very interesting way to change the oil, next shock oil change i'll try this method. Cheers.

      Yes Sir! I been doing it like this for years now. I seem to get a better bleed and also less wasted fluid. Also saves time.

    Measure spring length before removal then put back together simply wind it down to that length..that's what I do anyway

      yes that works too. However during fine tuning I can feel the difference of even a 1/16th of a turn on the spinners. Since I get OCD with it down to the last little bit of fine tuning I try my best to get it as close as I can so I can just service and go back on the track.

    Thanks for all the great content. Bought a 2023 YZ250X and your videos have been very useful. Love the YZ... plenty of power and the bikes are affordable compared to the European ones.

    Off topic but i got my bike rebuilt i was the guy with the 5th gear issue. Bike runs great and 5th doesn't hop now. I believe part of my issue was that one of the primary gear shaft bearings wasn't seated by like an 1/8th of an inch. But i installed all new gears and pinion gears plus reinstalled all transmission bearings. im glad it went so well

    Another perfect tutorial video. I do have a question on the nitrogen side, will I get a proper pressure reading without loosening the spring? Or is the spring adding extra pressure to the nitrogen? Thanks again, have a great weekend.👍👍🙂

    • @UpAllNight91
      @UpAllNight91  11 місяців тому +2

      Thanks, its been a great weekend so far, hope your having a good weekend too. You can check and add nitrogen while the spring in on. You can even check while the shock and spring inls on the bike as long as the bike is on a stand, suspension fully extended. But do not check unless you have the ability to add, because about 5psi is lost by checking. So you will need to add some nitrogen back in.

    THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS VIDEO. One question, if I am upping my spring rate on a 23 kx450x, are there any other things I should do to the shock while I have it off the bike

    • @UpAllNight91
      @UpAllNight91  8 місяців тому

      You welcome! If the shock is due for a fluid change service then thats all good time to do it. Otherwise just swap the spring and set the sag, she should be good. I have been able to slide the shock up and out of the KX by removing the muffler, unbolting the subframe, pulling the throttle body off the intake boot on the head and just shifting the subframe back a little and twist it to the left of the bike a little Leaving, all wires connected between the subframe and bike. Unbolt the shock and slide up and out while twisting the shock a little.
