I just returned to fishing after about 20 years and I discovered these gems by accident. I've caught a lot of dinks with them Texas rigged, weightless, but today I put it on a jig head with a spinner and caught my biggest fish this year. I love these Keitech baits.
I am so impressed be you. Your gentle style really helped me. I have adhd and sometimes it’s hard to comprehend some of the creators on UA-cam. Thank you.
Good tutorial on the #keitech I know little about fishing so your knowledge is very useful to be. I’ve been watching you use this lure for a long time and it has more than proven itself 👍
Yeah took your advice and saw some Keitechs in Gander. Used the jig methods and the 2.5” ones. They work great for smallmouth in the Rapidan. Had to go back and get more the next day. I’ve got some of the 3” ones also. Will have to try them out. Thanks for informational videos.
@@YourNextCast also don’t know if you shop Gander Mountain in F’burg but they have been running a warehouse sale since June with 50% off fish supplies. It was 60% last week for Good Sam members. I’ve been sticking up especially those Keitechs!
i could see you having your own show. you give it strait to the point and touch on the little things most people miss. youve got a good channel #keitech
I've done pretty well with Keitech shiners for nice Bass in the Northeast, primarily on Keitech jig heads. I can't wait to try more approaches with this lure and extend the use of them too. Thanks so much for sharing!
I didn't catch any on the easy shiner yesterday, but caught two on a vision 110 Jr. jerkbait right at dark. I could only see because of the moon, but had to get out of there because of the mosquitoes. That jerkbait would float back to the surface every 5-7 seconds, so not sure if it's functioning right or not. Do you know how it should? Oh, Merry Christmas. I may go fish again today even though the weather is rainy. @@YourNextCast
I’ve used screw lock do-it jigheads (3/16-1/8oz) that I make myself and I find that the easy shiners last a bit longer with the Do-it mold screw lock jig heads with an Owner 1/0 fine wire jighead hook, as they aren’t durable and I don’t have “my pants pulled down” when I’m using a regular ned head. I’ve also found that it doesn’t make a difference how you rig the easy shiner. I actually rig the bait with the hook through the side of the easy shiner and the Smallmouths ate it up without prejudice. When the one side of the bait was torn up, I’d re-rig it from the other side of the bait and have a few more casts and fish until they’d rip the tail off. Something to consider for yourself to try out as I’ve seen Doug Stange from In-Fisherman TV rig it like that.
This is excellent info, Titus. In all the fishing I've done, I've never thrown a Texas-rigged lure. This was a super straightforward explanation and gives me the confidence to try it out -- thanks!
Wonderful bait, I caught a few on it this past weekend! Great tips, I really like your tips on how to get more usage per bait, those will come in handy for sure!
Great tips! Thank you bunches Titus 😀. Hope you and yours are doing well. I've been super busy working with my brother, and some on the van. Haven't had much time for fishing. Tight lines to you 🎣✌💜
Good tips on saving the baits once they're pretty tore up. I never thought about skin hooking it on the side. I have a video just like the one with your second fish. I had tossed my rig into the water and I was dealing with my line that was all knotted up and a fish just took it and ran with it. I didn't even move it. That's always fun and exciting. Great video.
Great instructional. I had to laugh as I thought, if that was a big Catfish or Carp that hit when you laid your rig down, you would have been headed to the tackle store to replace it, it would be gone, Lol.
Love the video since I often fish Keitech Easy Shiners. I'm curious, when you're fishing it weightless (Texas Rigged) What size Keitech Easy Shiner are you using? I often use the 4" with a small jig, but it seems a little too small and thin to Texas Rig. What size hook do you use? I would think that a 3/0 EWG would be too big. Thanks, really enjoy your videos!
Hey my friend. My apologies on the late reply. I almost always through the 4 inch. I use a 2/0 ewg hook. Sometimes a 3 depending on who makes it. I like the fact that a bigger hook adds a tad more weight. Thanks for watching. I appreciate it.
Easy Shiner sin duda lo usamos nosotros mucho en estas fechas y siempre conseguimos geniales capturas....haces muy bien en mostrar este video.....animaremos a que mucha gente lo pruebe y consiga buenos peces!!!!...like!!
Really nice job of demonstrating how you rig the Swimbait Titus, they are a killer bait. And as a plus, you can catch a fish just letting it dangle off the side of the boat. 😂 Glad you didn’t lose your rod. Hahaha
Great information Titus! I need to start fishing swim baits more, that way I can get better with them. It’s so hard to break away from the worm/craw/lizzard baits I’m comfortable with! Thanks for all the great different ways to hook it!!🎣🎣🍀🍀
