I thought back of when my fascination with Starcraft 2 started. This was the cast and tournament that came to mind. This game specifically. HDStarcraft, HuskyStarcraft, wherever you are now and whatever you are doing, I just want to thank you for touching this nerds soul with your enthusiasm. I think I can honestly say, now 8 years later, that you guys made a real, positive difference for me.
this is hands down my favorite game i have ever watched. the first game i ever watched HD comm, the first game i ever watched with the little one, and it is hands down the best SC2 game i have watched... ever. Of all time.
One of the very best sc2 games i've ever seen! Under personal perspective, all i'm gonna say is that TheLittleOne is the most flexible, fluid, elusive and tactical player being able to challenge players far more experienced in macro / micro that him. Plain brilliance ...
@Digitalman271 no, macro is constructing buildings, researching/upgrading, building units, and managing resources micro is controlling units, doesn't matter how many of them there are
This is the best sc2 game I've seen, both on youtube and on all the livestreams. TheLittleOne reminds me a lot of old Testie, random and super creative. I'm a fan for sure ^_^
@ImAtM0es Yes, it does require a lot more micro, because you need to constantly keep your hero alive. Also the strategy is very different from StarCraft. In Warcraft you need to have all sorts of units constantly streaming from your base to the battlefield, so the key to victory is using the whole broad bunch of abilities and special skills of the units you have in your command.
@FeatherClint It stands for Actions Per Minute. Like a lot of things, it's not a set-in-stone rule that good players will have high APMs, but top-tier players tend to have very high APMs.
Because it was just uploaded! It takes a couple hours for the higher quality videos to be processed by UA-cam because they'd rather have a video be up immediately, instead of having it be delayed.
@watchmen715 That depends on the laptop, of course. But I'd say that any PC with less than one or two years can run SC2 pretty well. Not all PCs work with max settings, but shouldn't be too hard to run the game in low or medium on most computers nowadays. Check out the minimum reqs somewhere in Blizzard's site
@Coldmystery Considering I'll probably still play this game in 10 years I consider it a 60 dollars well spent. It's fascinating to watch at a professional level yeah, especially TheLittleOne's creativity keeps amazing me.
@nikolaidrostdov let me explain it this way. Micro is the detail work, often used when described a play controlling units while in battle and not just letting them battle at random. Macro on the other hand is the big game, and by big game one typically referes to the economy work. A better economy would mean more minerals for unit production. Macro > Micro. Micro > Non-micro
M&M&M comes from SC BW's M&M strategy which was marine medic science vessels. and the player would use lots of siege tanks in the back. they used it excessively against zerg
@ImAtM0es WC3 does require more micro than sc2 if you play it right. However, if you ask me about Starcraft 1 on the other hand. I think starcraft 1 requires more micro than WC3 does.
Hi, nice match, I'm new to the game and I haven't been playing rts for like 10 years....I'd like to know which is the Terran build you were talking about at the beginning, it would be a good start for me, thanks a lot!
@sigma804 i just saw a micro video of warcraft 3... you only control 1 dude and move him slightly to the left or right... i dont know if thats insane micro. but in starcraft 2 you move like 10 or more. for example marine micro vs baneling. you have to split your marines to reduce damage in a split second.
Actions Per Minute Basically, it measures how much a person clicks. People assume the higher this number is, then the better the person's response times, macro and micro are.
@Jur0: I don't know about perfect. The required BattleNet sign-up to register your game so that you can actually play it, along with every-30-days mandatory confirmation sounds like a damned annoyance to me. If the music industry did that with CD's and downloads, they'd be lucky to break even.
HD Starcraft, by himself he is formidable Husky Starcraft, by himself he is fierce Combine their powers and you have an explosion of such sheer awesomeness, even youtube fails to contain it! (You guys are great, :D)
Hey.. I'm kinda new to SC2, but how fast do zerg units regenerate? It really doesn't seem to come into play very often.. But again, that might just be my observational skills.
@screwedupsomewhere it shows the current apm and the overall apm of both players. apm =actions per minute with keyboard and mouse. means how crazy you hit your buttons :P
I've watched like 6 matches and this is the first time I've seen Zerg being played. All I know is that thelittleone is like FB with halo 2. I've always wanted to get good at an rts. Should I wait for this game to come out or should I pick up the first one and practice with that?
@ardaatalay10 Macro = strategically controlling groups of units at a time. Micro = strategically controlling one unit at a time. Like, attacking an enemy with a group of zealots and dragoons, compared to picking off 6 zerglings with one dragoon. Yes thats possible, and its easier than it sounds.
I've never played Starcraft either, but I play as many games as I can play without having much money, but holy crap this game looks so fun and addicting o.o I am going to get it as soon as I get enough money.
Takes time for youtube to convert it to HD since when you upload the vid (even if it is in hd) youtube makes it low quality to "get it up fast" Or something like that :P
@ImAtM0es well you cant really say it that way. warcraft and starcraft are different somehow, cause the gaming speed is very different. sc is so much faster, so your micro needs to be really good, to be able to pull of right decisions in a fight.
can someone answer a nooby question for me? do the players play at the speed that we're watching it in? it seems like a reasonable speed but i notice the timer on the right side of the screen is going faster than normal time. just a little curious :)
Why are the units on Star Craft 2's webiste different from here. I see marines there, "maruauders" here. I see hydras there, "roaches" in last game. And goons replaced with "stalkers"? How the hell do you replace the most classic units?
I play SC2, but the icons when you click on the zealot, zergling ect, the icons move for them, but on my screen they dont. Is it because of hd qualities? Graphics? Msg me if you know thanks.
can some1 answer , starcraft will work in a nootebook compac celeron 600? espc: 1 gb ram 256 mg of video windonws xP service 2 2.4 cpu Hgz please answer i want to buy the game :)
So I have never played starcraft, but I was drawn in by the announcer who make it so interesting to watch lol... are there just like 3 races, probos, zerg, and terran or what? never played so im a bit confused
@jrdontario i was thinkin that. a game like wow, but ya can travel in space crafts into space and visit other worlds and fly to them like no loading page, but can actualy fly through the atmosphere .......etc. awsoem

i think his brother said he left starcraft scene for poker..
@@JustinK0 Crazy that these guys don't even announce they retire with a video after releasing hundreds/thousands of videos. lol
watching this back 12 years later... nostalgia really is the best drug
This is THE game that got me into Starcraft 2. Amazing commentaries by both HD and Husky. Great game by TLO and Nazgul. You've come a long way guys.
thank you for putting in a "skip ad" button. you just saved my evening.
this is hands down my favorite game i have ever watched. the first game i ever watched HD comm, the first game i ever watched with the little one, and it is hands down the best SC2 game i have watched... ever. Of all time.

Hdstarcraft and Husky = the greatest commentary artists on earth
@Digitalman271 no, macro is constructing buildings, researching/upgrading, building units, and managing resources
micro is controlling units, doesn't matter how many of them there are
omfg, i learned so much from these vids.
hdstarcraft is the beast and so is sc2
This is the best sc2 game I've seen, both on youtube and on all the livestreams. TheLittleOne reminds me a lot of old Testie, random and super creative. I'm a fan for sure ^_^

Still the best SC2 game I've seen so far, hope you guys are able to put up some more videos with thelittleone
@FeatherClint It stands for Actions Per Minute. Like a lot of things, it's not a set-in-stone rule that good players will have high APMs, but top-tier players tend to have very high APMs.
@tadfius there is. It's called orbital command, observer and changeling.
@LP2Videos
Yes, the Studio 17 is a true beast. It can also run most modern games well above medium quality. I know cause I was thinking of buying it.
I really like this match, nice work guys! Great to see such skilled players and commentators. An inspiration for my own channel
This is the first time that I will ever be interested in watching other people play game. Never played this game before styll
This. Once you get into how awesome the community is and how ranking up feels, you won't want to stop :p
This video is by far the biggest tease of Starcraft 2, everr.....
nearly half million people watch huskys video and its jsut still beta, seems like there will be much fun in sc2 after release :D
I love your commentary! Keep it coming! Thank you so much
Good times gentlement..... good times...
These were the days:)
hot damn.. Easily the biggest, baddest most epic game of SC2 I have seen to date
Little one gained ton of fans because of his uber creative style.Awesome guy
He's retired :(
@@Gemna157 Holy shit, that's a blast from the past comment. HDStarcraft casts, those were my university years.
@@TheCabIe haha yea same

God I miss this
@Zeskents how do you keep it recording instead of clicking the f9 button over and over again.
@watchmen715
That depends on the laptop, of course. But I'd say that any PC with less than one or two years can run SC2 pretty well. Not all PCs work with max settings, but shouldn't be too hard to run the game in low or medium on most computers nowadays. Check out the minimum reqs somewhere in Blizzard's site

this game is so beautiful and game play is out of this world
@Tasermanron yes go to the starcraft website. You can only play campaign though
M&M&M comes from SC BW's M&M strategy which was marine medic science vessels. and the player would use lots of siege tanks in the back. they used it excessively against zerg
Watching these games, all I can say that TLO is a very creative player :3
@chesssjakk I see. Sucks for the one they stopped, looked really awesome.
thanks HD... For a new player as myself, ur great commentating really helps me understand the basics. P.s. My girlfriend actually finds it intresting
gr8 job guys, really like your commentary, keep up good work
Yes!
Protos vs Terran is so much more fun to play and watch compared to Protos vs Zerg in my opinion atleast.
Thanks for the upload.
So hilarious to hear husky say that 3 rax into fast medivacs was standard. The metagame has changed so much since then. I love competitive gaming
That immortal spawn blocking the reaper harass was gold. 8:19
@ImAtM0es WC3 does require more micro than sc2 if you play it right. However, if you ask me about Starcraft 1 on the other hand. I think starcraft 1 requires more micro than WC3 does.
HD and Husky were still friends this date! :\
I miss it.
is this when TLO wasnt that popular? cause usually you hear tons of praises from husky all throughout the game
@icefroggerWillz I heard china was big too? I havent got into the game too much but I heard people love it there.
Hi, nice match, I'm new to the game and I haven't been playing rts for like 10 years....I'd like to know which is the Terran build you were talking about at the beginning, it would be a good start for me, thanks a lot!

How is the game i have never played but i am planning on playing the first one.
Is it similar to Age of Empires? because i am a fan of that series.
@FeatherClint Your portion of the guess was right. It stands for Actions Per Minute.
What can i use to record my own videos on my PC?
that reaper harrass was incrediably good.
reapers are the new mutalisks
I'd love to see a World of Starcraft , it'll be awesome!
Would it be possible to acquire a copy of this replay? I'd like to see in detail what terran was doing.
Actions Per Minute

@jrdontario Theres a game being realeased called Starcraft Universe. Just search it in google.
It's not made by blizzard but it is endorsed by them.
HD Starcraft, by himself he is formidable
Husky Starcraft, by himself he is fierce
Combine their powers and you have an explosion of such sheer awesomeness, even youtube fails to contain it!
(You guys are great, :D)
Probably a very odd comparison, but I'm torn on whether to get this or Journey on the PS3. Suggestions?
Hey.. I'm kinda new to SC2, but how fast do zerg units regenerate? It really doesn't seem to come into play very often.. But again, that might just be my observational skills.
Really wish Husky and HD still casted together......
@screwedupsomewhere it shows the current apm and the overall apm of both players.
apm =actions per minute with keyboard and mouse.

Is the photon rush still worth it and lethal as in Starcraft 1?
I'm envious of these guys' computers.... wish mine could handle the optimum settings.
@TheHitlerGuy
yeah no, you might get up to silver with 30 apm, but you're not getting further than that, and in bronze most people have at least 50.
@Altrave why? What's your point? There will be a wider pool of people to play with for everyone
@TheRealAuxiliary
You'll love warcraft 4 after Starcraft 2 comes out.
I don't understand this game. Like how do you play it and what's it about? What;s so good about it? Just curious, don't mean to sound ignorant.
I've never played Starcraft either, but I play as many games as I can play without having much money, but holy crap this game looks so fun and addicting o.o I am going to get it as soon as I get enough money.
my face when i hear husky and HD casting together again :D
@Circaskate99 And by "Dominate for a very long time" he means "Starcraft 2 for President"
Give it a few hours if its bothers you. To get videos out quicker, youtube publishes a video, and then processes it to the full higher quality later.
HDStarcraft and Husky?
...
:D
YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
@Zeratul723 I wish mine could handle the lowest settings and run at more than 10 fps
Takes time for youtube to convert it to HD since when you upload the vid (even if it is in hd) youtube makes it low quality to "get it up fast"
Or something like that :P
The good old days... this game got me addicted to pro sc2
@ImAtM0es well you cant really say it that way. warcraft and starcraft are different somehow, cause the gaming speed is very different. sc is so much faster, so your micro needs to be really good, to be able to pull of right decisions in a fight.
0:51 i partially expected husky to say "yes as you said, you ARE talking too much"
Uhh i dont have sc2 yet... do you always start with like 6 workers in the beginning?
What was Husky smoking? Metalopolis is in the 1v1 ladder too.
And this map's name is metalopolis, not metopolis. HD pronounced it wrong.
Wouldn't teching to ghosts to EMP be more effective than medivacs?
can someone answer a nooby question for me? do the players play at the speed that we're watching it in? it seems like a reasonable speed but i notice the timer on the right side of the screen is going faster than normal time. just a little curious :)
@spyhunter41 I don't think so.. they don't cast any more games together and don't mention eachother's name anymore :\
Why are the units on Star Craft 2's webiste different from here.
I see marines there, "maruauders" here. I see hydras there, "roaches" in last game.
And goons replaced with "stalkers"? How the hell do you replace the most classic units?
Hey HD I just got Starcraft 2 and I want to upgrade the graphics any idea what kind of graphics card I should get
@LEETSP33KA basically, you build a base, and you attack the enemies base. that is starcraft broken down for a 5 year old
@Knightgil will this game work on a laptop though?
I play SC2, but the icons when you click on the zealot, zergling ect, the icons move for them, but on my screen they dont. Is it because of hd qualities? Graphics? Msg me if you know thanks.
can some1 answer , starcraft will work in a nootebook compac celeron 600?
espc: 1 gb ram
256 mg of video
windonws xP service 2
2.4 cpu Hgz
please answer i want to buy the game :)
@xlamierina it shouldnt lag other players only the one using screen recorders unless they hve a crappy pc
There is a video of getting rip in the suggestions what the hell does that have to do with any of this!?
So I have never played starcraft, but I was drawn in by the announcer who make it so interesting to watch lol... are there just like 3 races, probos, zerg, and terran or what? never played so im a bit confused
how do you get the little picture in the corner to move?
So..the TheLittleOne is Frodo fighting the Nazgul in Starcraft/Lord of the Rings? :S
@jrdontario i was thinkin that. a game like wow, but ya can travel in space crafts into space and visit other worlds and fly to them like no loading page, but can actualy fly through the atmosphere .......etc. awsoem
@DphL0 yes true but gamesworkshop has been out since WAY before then
im still curious in one video the workers brang in 5 minerals and in this one they bring in 10 minerals im confused
@spazzocity, view the replay, then use camtasia or similar, but dont try to record DURING a game, it creates major lag, not cool to the other players.
