Are you familiar uThermal? He's a former pro player with a youtube channel where he tries crazy strategies and sees how far up the ladder he can go with them. One of his current series is Proxy Nexus where he does the same exact strategy as sOs, and the games are so fun to watch. You might enjoy them too
He executed it poorly. uThermal has shown the power of it. Sneak the Nexus in and you can time it to be ready for Recall right as you finish your sixth Adept which - up until this point - were building up at home and defending from most potential rushes. You use those to shut down most marines\etc. in their base and put a lot of pressure on the mineral line. From there, you expand behind it or put them on full tilt by dropping a Pylon near the Nexus to fast warp some DTs
My favorite part of this is that Artosis is literally still in the process of saying "and some [strategies] actually that were inconceivable" when he plops down the proxy nexus; showing us that sOs was in fact, not done being inconceivable.
Always looking for new suggestions - more episodes coming out! Mostly focused on the two carrier rush; but also wanted to keep things exciting by not knowing the full outcome (not every game is a win)
Terran & Zerg episodes coming soon; I've went through thousands of VODS and compiled a list of around +- 60 epic strategies. In the meantime, I've also organized all the content on the channel: • Incredible Matches: ua-cam.com/play/PLW-fXIZQ6TPYiCngosKrmF1Xg4i8E3dvq.html • The Best Cheese: ua-cam.com/play/PLW-fXIZQ6TPY9GtHkXqtjvFRjpCXV7Blf.html • Grand Finals: ua-cam.com/play/PLW-fXIZQ6TPYK2U2cBtTWyqEJs86bZTxz.html • Cannon Rushes: ua-cam.com/play/PLW-fXIZQ6TPY8sj9tZBI4TXcZj7RycL6D.html • Proxy Hatcheries: ua-cam.com/play/PLW-fXIZQ6TPYBZNDPORwpHKv_R77fhIZZ.html
Not sure how you can make a video about Zerg strategies when they don't have any. Looking forward to all the Terran builds though. Please feature at least one Fantasy build as he always had something unique prepared for his GSL matches.
Zerg is more difficult but definitely possible! Proxy hatcheries, hidden spires, brood lord rushes and creative cheeses! I’ll throw in some fantasy too. If you have any specific suggestions do let me know
I remember a game that I've seen a long time ago where a zerg lured a terran (I believe) in a trap and abushed them with burried ultras, completely anihilating their army. I think it was a pro game. Also idea for another series: best tastosis banter!
watching this reminded how much I hated the entire era of photon overcharge on the mothership core/nexus. It made protoss basically immune to early pressure.
Watching SC2 for 2 years now, so I don't have much insight on older versions of the game. What range did Tempest and Photon overcharge have back then? Feels like you could proxy into your opponents natural and kill the mineral line in the main from there.
It kinda of was yeah. Yet it had to be, because batteries didn't exist so Protoss had no real sustainable defensive option. It was a band-aid fix before they finally brought the shield battery from Brood War that we were asking for for like 6 years
I love how Korean players not only have great mechanics and controls, but they also have infinite number of crazy tactics and they really use them in tournaments 🤣🤣🤣
@@SC2HL I take "greatest" to mean "has the most balls." It doesn't mean they win necessarily. If you go home after watching it live and talk about it, then it was great.
Its a compilation of strategies from the past 10 years! The Pigbaby tempest rush is from 2014, Has' in-base oracles is from 2015. Its a nice way to highlight some of the best strategies throughout all time!
sOs such a great player. He did the most beautiful plays Protoss could do.
I heard he got out of the army, and is back to playing sc2
SOS was such a joy to watch. He plays StarCraft like an actual strategy game. 😂
Too bad zwrg cant do these things. Simply have to settle for being the smartest humans on earth. 😒🤐
It is so funny that sOs made a Nexus in Bunny's base . I have never seen such a strategy like this.

The nexus rush is my build.
@@Florenciosc2 and you're fucking amazing at it too

@Erd Tird Mans My build is better since I came up with it years ago.
3:49 you can see on Bunny's face the thoughts he has about the protoss race
I didn't immediately notice these weren't all LotV, so that Nexus overcharge confused me for a sec lol. Great stuff!!
When I saw the title I knew it was going to be SOS 💛
That envision ability on the oracle looks cursed af.
sOs' proxy Nexus is the greatest esports moment I've seen live.
The best longest toss/terran/Zerg series would be cool
It’s coming!
My favorite part of this is that Artosis is literally still in the process of saying "and some [strategies] actually that were inconceivable" when he plops down the proxy nexus; showing us that sOs was in fact, not done being inconceivable.
Shout out Flo with the proxy Nexus strats!
Dark V Parting was an odd choice for "best strategies." Bunny V sOs was just broken - I remember watching that one!
Always looking for new suggestions - more episodes coming out!

@@SC2HL love this attitude, not every way to win is the best strategy, and just bc a strategy ends up losing doesnt mean its great!
As a lifelong Protoss fan, this video was made for me.
Parting techs to t3 units and gets hard countered by queens lol
I hate so much how Zergs are really never wrong to build queens.
This game shouldn't be part of the greatest Protoss strategies of all time series if it ends up losing in the end.
@@markpayton3895 I think the same. Carrier opener that... didn't work. This just shows that Toss has little strats if not cheesing.
Queens counter all air units apparently hahaha

Miss the Burbank studio and live audience and rotti/nate commentary…. the glory days
This is why protoss is best race. sOs and Has are legends
No cheese without sOs, Parting, and Has
So fantastic :-)
I feel two of these games were the prime reason to nerf tempest, oracle :-D
Great protoss stratégies of all time and you give us a zerg win at the end. Just wasted 10 mins of my time, congrats
I miss you Parting
From times when protoss was op.
They didn’t even win all the games in their own highlight video 😂
Protoss was losing to zerg despite being twice as cost efficient.
This isn't GSL, but there was this "14 Nexus" cheese-yourself strat that was crazy dumb. Look for AlbinoFly
This is why I love protoss
Ahh the infamous Sewer Mermaid built.
Wow photon overcharge looked absolutely cancerous
It kinda of was yeah. Yet it had to be, because batteries didn't exist so Protoss had no real sustainable defensive option. It was a band-aid fix before they finally brought the shield battery from Brood War that we were asking for for like 6 years
that sOs game still the GOAT
like this genre of highlights
Great content, as always. Thank you!
Surprised Astrea's Nexus rush wasnt in here
I love how Korean players not only have great mechanics and controls, but they also have infinite number of crazy tactics and they really use them in tournaments 🤣🤣🤣
bunny died of cancer on the first one
Fantastic collection of videos! ✌️

"Greatest Protoss Strategies of All Time"
>here's a video where the Protoss loses
...wat
what is that thing firing from the nexus in the second game
need to ask the mothership core is back?
I didnt play sc2 when oracle can stay still and give vision
Greatest Protoss strategies of all time. #4 Protoss still loses loool
3:43
what did Bunny type on Korean?
Sos byun parting maru all names of chaos
pigbaby is Goonies🤔
I miss Has
moving location is such a noob move. he could have done so many things by the time he settled to a new location
sOs is a gigabrain
"greatest protoss strategies" shouldn't include losses imo... that last game was annoying to watch.
Will take that feedback into account!
Greatest dosen't mean it always works lol it just means its better than others like the "greatest" monopoly strategy isn't full proof
To each there own. Last match was fire imo 🍻
0:14 excuse me.... Y??
First game should have been the last game
Why was Parting v Dark in there 🤔 Great video otherwise
This pisses me off on so many levels
I feel like showing the greatest protoss strats of all-time without showing Parting's Big Boy Build is an oversight
Dont worry, another episode is in the work!
what is the protoss nexus doing wtf
😍😍😍😍
6 min carrier but gg at 15. Noob airtoss
prem's
3:34 ruined by unnecessarily added music..
What do you mean? I didn’t add anything! It’s from the original VOD
@@SC2HL okay but they didnt have to add that music for no reason. It was annoying and distracting.
김유진은 뭐가 됐든 '정말로' 한다 ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ
Iaguz is one of the worst "Pro players" I've ever seen in sc2 and seeing this again reminds me of it lol
So…you guys show a losing Parting game against dark as ‘strongest Protoss strategies of all time’?
…why??
Greatest is a bit different than Strongest.
Basically the carrier rush was still very creative; plus the game was good!
@@SC2HL I think greatest and strong lest are relative in this capacity.
Still picked a game where parting got smashed.
@@SC2HL I take "greatest" to mean "has the most balls." It doesn't mean they win necessarily. If you go home after watching it live and talk about it, then it was great.
