    I agree.." Shrimpin' ain't easy unless you have good help"....If either of those lovely young ladies has a spare sister shrimpin' could get easier for me..At the risk of sounding greedy it wouldn't hurt if the 'spare' sister could back up a boat trailer and rustle up a decent shrimp scampi once in awhile. Oh, it also wouldn't hurt if she didn't talk too much but it's not a deal breaker..
    Great video btw...

      LOL! Thanks, man. Shrimpin' definitely ain't easy, and finding a woman like you're looking for is even harder. We got lucky with hard-working women. How big is your boat.😂 A big boat might help you find one, 😂 as long as you don't tell them about all the bills and maintenance it requires. I love having a good laugh. Thanks.

      @@SaltyReflections I don't have a shrimp boat and I'm not a shrimper...I have a small flats boat and toss a few crab traps over the side once in awhile..Truth be told I don't even eat shrimp but I'm not above lying when the need arises..I enjoyed your video and will watch a few more as time permits..Good luck out there and stay safe..

I believe one of the small species of fish that you guys were asking about is known as a sailor's choice I'm not sure if that's the exact name but I remember catching them when I was a young boy living in Port Royal and when I was working on a shrimp boat as a young kid the captain told me they were called sailor's choice

    Ive noticed most of your pull you keep the trawl in the wheel wash, if you turn your boat slowly to the left for about 5 to 10 min then to the right for 5 to 10 min your trawl will be out the wheel wash and you will catch more shrimp, it being in the wheel wash makes your shrimp push through the tail ball and loose catch.

    • @SaltyReflections
      @SaltyReflections  8 місяців тому +2

      Thanks for the info. I'll try to keep our trawl out of the wheel wash and see if that helps.

    Awww, Oliver, people are pickin' on you. I know you're yacking. But you're also concerned about the boat and nets, as much as the shrimp. I also know you enjoy the "Stephanie lessons". You love having fun, but sometimes you gotta be serious.

  • @jackal-ft6bo
    @jackal-ft6bo 8 місяців тому +1

    The reason your shrimp are red and pink is because you drop the net rather than wash it down I have noticed what when I make extra long pulls I end up with pink and deep red shrimp so when I see pink and red shrimp I start shortening the pulls but with you dropping the net shrimp get held in the front of the net and don’t move to the tail bag until the next pull or even the pull after it is just a by product of having the shrimp in the net for too long
